Today GoDaddy ripped off my company for $ I was attempting to buy two domain names They charged me $to get each one for me but actually charged me to allow me to make an offer They said I need to offer between and after charging me the 140! I mad an offer and then they came back and said I need an opening offer of $2, What the heck is an opening offer? I am bidding against myself? Worse yet, both domains were available when I checked them Sunday evening I was told by a local IT professional that GoDaddy buys them after you look at them so they can then make a killing selling to you! Great job GoDaddy I own three other companies and you have been hosting us for years at each one That is all ending today as we are signing with a local hosting company because I do not reward people for taking advantage of me
I have a very small organic lawn service businessI have just a few customersGoDaddy has precipitated the failure of my businessI made my payment for services in February and for the 2nd year in a row, GoDaddy has taken down my website without any notification
Upon calling and talking GoDaddy Rep Danielle, I was told that the website was taken down because the domain had expired, but it was my lucky day because they could recover it That is pure BSThe domain has always been set for auto-renewalGoDaddy sets all purchases for all of their products and services for auto-renewalMy lucky day? GoDaddy has evidently lost their way for they consistently come across as a shady operationAs if that wasn't enough, GoDaddy had the temerity to try and charge me an $recovery fee for the domain name that was set for auto-renewalShady Shady!
My virb.com account owned by godaddy has no ability to change credit card information or delete my accountOnly a link to email customer serviceI'd be surprised if this was legal
I am not receiving responses from the help email at all despite several attempts to close my account
Instead I was just charged a monthly fee on my account incongruent with my billing schedule with no communication as to whyI would like a refund for this charge and the immediate closure of my account
On June 23, I was sold a SEO service by a Godaddy salesman, Josuha P***He told me that a representative would contact my team to review our website and make suggestions to improve traffic flow I was also told that I would have a dedicated account manager I agreed to the purchase but I told him I was going to away for two on July 4th vacation I told him to start after I return He started the process right away and did not wait until my return There was never an on boarding meeting between my team and Godaddy I was never assigned a dedicated account manager All my complaints were never replied in a written format He spoke to me and made promises but never in writing Any email replies were generic and most did not even have a name attached to it I was sold a bill of goods, got taken by a con artist and worse, the company has no integrity because they never put anything in writing One time a Goddady agent, uponing hearing my complaint, confided in me that
I received email messages that my domain and associated services were about to renew It went on to wrote I could manage by renewals When I want onto the company website to cancel some of the services it says it was too late I changed a service to a total of $+/- When I clicked to confirm I was charged $ I called in to have it fixed and they said they couldn't It was against some rule that domain terms cannot be changed
I signed up for a GoDaddy hosting plan for a websiteGoDaddy also offered a FREE domain name to go with my hostingGoDaddy told me I had days to get 100% of my money backI cancelled after about daysThey then charged me for years for a domain name because the domain name refund was only days, as described in their terms and conditions I asked several times and in several ways about the refund, deadlines, etc., and not once did they did not reveal any info about the day limit GoDaddy is hiding charges in their terms and conditions The practice of placing charges and deadlines in Terms and Conditions and completely contradicting those T&C during the sales call is a scam and Illegal I feel a class action law suit is in order and all customers should get their money back that were charged in this manner
Unfortunately, I am unable to select more than reason as the Primary Nature of My Complaint herein but please note this also includes: "Customer Service Issues." Just moments ago I experienced YET ANOTHER misinformed rep & spurious charges, prompting this long overdue complaint for another situation!
I've been a customer with GoDaddy since Over that time I've spent thousands of dollars on several domains & other servicesOver a year or ago I switched all things over to include hosting, email-marketing etcNotwithstanding such, at the turn of the year, my sites were terminated as products were cancelled, etcI had never had this happen before but I assumed all responsibility & sought acceptable options per my businessUnfortunately I was 1st charged for a SSL Cert & an email address to include Office having, at the time, no knowledge that my websites content would not be recovered for restoration

My company has been a Godaddy customer for over a decade Well, that is about to change
We have purchased numerous products and services from Godaddy For a while they seemed to be decent
Now all they seem to do is sell expensive - but crappy products that DO NOT work - costing our company to lose thousands of dollars in lost business revenues and hours waiting on hold to talk to their incompetent technical support
Godaddy takes FOREVER to fix products that they eventually had to admit that they created As a business owner and a professor of business I can state with 100% certainty that this is NOT A GOOD BUSINESS MODEL AT ALL
We have a long trail of paper, email, social media messages, tweets, etcabout our recent travails with godaddy defective products and poor service This seem so nonchalant about committing fraud - knowingly selling products with major defects It is a wonder that they a
Godaddy's Hosting Deceptive Sales Practices
Godaddy salesperson, Luis on the 23rd of May sold me a server and said they would migrate for meHe told me the server would be able to handle my capacity needs
I bought the migration at and the server at monthlyAfter hours of the purchase, they told me they would no longer be able to migrate from my old serverI asked to cancel the order and it took over a week for me to receive my refund
I still wanted to move to Godaddy so I just needed skmeone to migrateI found a company Fantasktic that charged me $so I purchased the server again for $
It took Fantasktic a few days to migrate my files to Godaddy and when we finally got there the server kept crashing
I called tech support at Godaddy and they said that my CPU usage was more than available for the planI asked them why Luis (their salesperson) would sell it to me and they said there was no way they could know if the server would handle my files
We have been buying domians with Go Daddy under Account no*** since We have a lot of doamins with this companyFor some reason they have reset ll the domain settings to auto renew when every time we purchase a domain we select one year and not select auto renewThe person we just talked today at 5:am PST, 2/13/was the most manipulative, deceptive and threatening typical of pushy telemarketersWe told him we are going to dispute the charges but he wants us to keep calling back to cancel, hence to let charges go throughI don't know how long this person works at Go Daddy but we have been as long time customers telling us deceptive tactics that everything is set to auto renewWe also get calls everyday with this telemarketers from Go Daddy leaving messages when we don't want them harassing us
I take issue with GoDaddy charging me a $fee every month for what looks like the past months to a year for services that I was not utilizing, I was not aware of the services being active, I was not even aware of the account still being openFrom using their online account manager system I was able to turn off all services that I had purchased, also the domain name for the website in question was no longer owned by meSo the site was not owned by me, the site was not active on the web, everything was turned to inactive BUT GoDaddy continued to charge me $a month for "Website Builder"If there is no active website why would there be an active website builder? GoDdady will explain that "Website Builder" is not actually a website builder but the WebHosting for the domainThat is misleading and it is not explained So regardless of what is really what I am paying for the Hosting of a website that is not active? What hosting? And I don't even own the domain, but I'm paying f
I called because I noticed when pulling my website up it had been turned offI called to inquire and told I missed the date for the website builder renewal and my options were to rebuild my website or pay $to get the tech team to release itBuilding that site was approximately a hour endeavor and if I rebuild it it WILL NOT be with your productI had been paying with an account credit recently because I had been refunded from where you overcharged me so you corrected the mistake you made and I'm happy to correct in paying the monthly fee and I would understand paying a late fee but $is an exorbitant fee for the tech team to simply release my site information, they aren't having to rebuild themI have gotten quotes from other hosting services that are more cost effective and one that even includes an app I would like to get past this and remain a customer but I will not do so with an unreasonable charge to restore my site pages.I want to continue with an amicable solution for both sides but even when speaking to supervisors their stance is there is nothing anyone can doI still had a credit from where they had overcharged me but you can't auto renew with account credits and I had been dealing with immensely stressful family issues including a son in and out of the hospital with seizures and a mother entering hospice care and they do not care the circumstances even though credit was there to cover itI have investigated other hosting companies and would never recommend them with how they treated me and took advantage to get an exorbitant extra fee
I signed up for a renewal on their email servicesI have been a customer since Their email services have had problems with disappearing emailsI would see an email listed on my computer and have it disappear off the computerI called them twice about the problem asking for helpI even had someone come on line to take over my computer to diagnose the issueThe problem kept on happeningI run a business and customer emails were not getting through!! I called my computer tech at Boxaid and he reviewed the issueHe said it was GoDaddyI switched over to Google and then Godaddy took it back overI had to reset up my computer with GoogleI must have spent hours with this issueI called them to get a refund and they refused to give me oneMy receipt does not state that there is a set time for returns, etcI believe that they are supposed to have that on a receipt by lawI have had previous issues with themI needed to update my website and they had me switch times bet
On 02/03/at 8:09pm I purchased a year basic reseller plan from Godaddy.com, LLC for $however I was double charge for total of $can provide bank statement and as proof and the plan is Misleading and is more like an affiliate program then a reseller I have contact Godaddy.com, LLC customer service times with unsuccessful results being Transferred from one department to the next and being placed on hold this issue has been on going for almost months What Godaddy.com, LLC did is theft all I ask for is my money back and Cancel the "reseller account"
I pay GoDaddy to host my WordPress site (***)On May 25, 2017, they updated the software to a versionThat caused my site to crashI hoped it was temporary, but that was not the caseOn June 1, 2017, I contacted GoDaddyThey said that everything looks fine on their end, so I would have to pay them $to look into the matterEverything is not fineTry going to my site and you will get an error message(If my site is working when you receive this, then they have decided to fix itIf it is not working, my complaint remains.) My newest book comes out on June 20, 2017, and people cannot find it due to GoDaddy's refusal to address the problem
We hired an IT professional to migrate a website that was developed by another company On 5/19/our IT rep tried it to migrate it with a GoDaddy rep over the phone without success Initially, the rep tried to help us migrate the website over the phone but then finally came to the conclusion that GoDaddy would have to migrate it for us The rep told our IT professional that GoDaddy could perform the migration and the cost would be $ Later that day, we called GoDaddy and told the rep (Esa) that we would like GoDaddy to perform the migration At that time a second rep tried to help us to migrate over the phone but then finally came to the conclusion that GoDaddy would have to migrate it for us We emailed him the link from the previous developer where all the files were located, the rep checked to make sure he had everything he needed to perform the migration, told us that it would take about week, and we gave him the permission to charge $to our credit card on file
Go Daddy removed $from my checking account on May 11, 2017, for what, I am not sure I called yesterday, June 11, 2017, as soon as I saw it I have kidney disease, am disabled and have been in the hospital for most of May The jerk on the phone wanted to argue tit for tat, saying they took it out on the 10th and that it had already been days, NO REFUND!!! I told him no, it was removed from my account on the 11th Regardless of the date, I never authorized any amount be removed from my account I'm disabled, been very sick and that was my grocery money for the month I need them to refund my money It's no longer about "the customer is right" or "making sure the customer is happy" It's truly sad what is happening to customer service at Go Daddy Revdex.com can you help this old, disabled lady that's on a very tight budget?
We have been a customer of Godaddy for many yearsWe have subscribed to a Dedicated Server to maintain good performance of our websiteWe also pay additional costs for the Assisted Server Service

Godaddy has terrible serviceI had to argue with them in order to get "store credit" because of a known issue concerning their web hosting service I ended up purchasing a Microsoft Business package in order to use up the store credit(Store credit is basically useless it's pretty much buying Microsoft stuff or reinvest in their substandard hosting) They set up some "account" for me to download Microsoft Business package but when I went to find out what my Microsoft login was with Microsoft the site said there was no recordFast forward with Microsoft tech support...they put an account executive on with me and she placed a conference call to Godaddy and they agreed to credit my original credit card and confirmed with the Microsoft person that it would not be store credit When I finally received notification from Godaddy concerning the refund it was store creditIf you research their practices you will see I am not the only person they do this to and they do NOT deserve the posit
