I am a Web-designer and have been maintaining my account with Godaddy for yearsThrough this time I have referred hundreds of customers to Godaddy for domain registrationsGodaddy is now in the market of taking customers away from all Web-designers and setting up websites and selling products like *** certificates etcto themI was just on the phone with a Godaddy support tech and conferenced by her with my customer to ensure easy transfer of a domain in my account to my customers accountOnce the call started, the Godaddy operator asked my account number and security pin, that would have totally violated my security access to all my domains of all my other clientsShe gave me an attitude when I refused to provide it and gave me an email confirmation alternative without apologizingThen once we had the domain transfer completed, she started lying about the current html website status saying she informed my customer that it is not secure and it would not appear in Google searc

I am getting collection notices for $we do not oweThis domain was never usedThis domain was canceled along with the notification settings as we were Mass marketed by web designers GoDaddy sold our information toWe have written, we called and were treated rudelyThe checking account used to set up the initial account was also closed long agoPlease close this account once again and zero out the balanceThe claim number is ***

I have been a customer for 13+ yearsI have never had a poor customer service experienceThe last two times I called (within the past days) I have spoken with people who are argumentative and incompetentCall #pertained to a product and call #concerned the product I was incorrectly charged forBad luck? MaybeOr maybe things are changing at GoDaddyI think I will go elsewhere

I purchased the auction addition on GoDaddy.com to bid on a domain that was up for auctionI was the highest bidder for the past days; until 1:pm EST (10:am PST) on 1/7/When I checked the auction at 1:pm EST (10:am PST), auctions last day, auction wasn't set to end until 11:am PDTI'd never seen PDT used prior to this instanceSo I did a little internet searching (PDT to EST time difference)I am in EST, I hadn't heard of PDT so I figured PDT to EST time difference was a good place to start and with that I found multiple sources connecting PDT to PST which lead me to believe the PDT I was seeing was meant to read PST and that somewhere in the input stage a D was accidentally typed rather than SI took this to mean that the 11:am PDT end time was hr and 27m away from the time I checked (10:am PST)At 1:pm EST (10:am PST) I received an email stating I had been out bid and the auction end time was 10:am PSTEmail received mins prior to the

I am a longtime customer of GoDaddy and have always paid my fees on timeOver the years I have required little-customer service or tech supportAnytime that I have contacted GoDaddy over the past years, I notice that the tech reps are programmed to "upsell" me on service This was just an unfortunate aspect to an otherwise good service provider
Recently, I was told that I needed to upgrade to GoDaddy's new service for my domain name and emailThis service does not come cheap and so I expected some tech support to be rolled into the hefty price
Initially, the tech rep I talked to (*** ***) assured me that the changeover from my exisiting computer/Outlook version of the email program would be painlessShe was very helpful and even provided me with step-by-step instructions concerning baof my old Outlook foldersThis process took some time, so we agreed that I would be able to conact *** via email later in the day to continue my installation

On March I called GoDaddy to handle the migration of my website to their servers I explained that my website is a news publication and very largeI gave them all the info they requested including size of filesThey sold me a package for $and told me that it would be sufficient to house my siteThey told me that it would take hrs to days maxNo special instructions month later the site was not migratedThe issue was escalatedThey said the migration had failed because of the size They then said that the problem was that I could not update site while it was being migratedI explained that I am a news site and I can't not upload content for an extended period of timeWe then arranged to do migration last Thursday Apr They said it would take 24-hoursI explained the critically for my business of not updating my site and the damage that would do to my businessThey said it was highest priority hours later they called me that the package I had was not

Go Daddy renewed a hosting product for 2x the original price on a personal debit card that had expired My web tech and I have called GoDaddy several times after the charge occurred and was referred to my bank The bank has referred me back to GoDaddy each time because it is a vendor dispute

In short they moved my website to a new server didn't back it up before they moved it, lost all the data and could not restore itWent through over phone calls and over a month of speaking with people and did get them to give me a two years free hosting after over hours of talk timeNow the site doesn't work and they don't know why they tried to fix it but, can't seem to get it working after I uploaded all of the webpage that were not backed up before they moved itStill lost all of the other mpfile data but, they can't get the site up after over a monthNot enough space here to tell the whole story an attached document would do the trick considering it has been over a month worth of information to tell

Received several emails stating that I needed to update credit card information or service would expireI did not update information so services would expire , but was charged anywayRefuses to give refund, sorry customer serviceUnethical as can be with that billing tactic

Use any other serviceGodaddy is useless and was created to scam people out of their moneyThey pay for those expensive commercials by scamming you out of money you never agreed to years later

GoDaddy can no longer support forwarding URL'sI have worked with them for more than years and since they upgraded their site, the forwarding URL's add garbage when they transferie *** the url adds these crazy letters to the end of the url, *** which makes it return a error codeI have forwarding URLsNow broken URL'sThey say they can't fix it so I was forced to move them to another companyNow, if I total up all the the unused fees I paid (since some of the url's are renewed for several years) it is $It's not in their policy to refund it, even though they can't deliver what I purchasedThey are not telling customers their system is broke, they just let you find out on your own and continue to pay for something they can't deliverThis is the only time I have ever had a problem with GoDaddy and I'm so thankful, I didn't loose more money

Automatically renewed my account against my willCharged me for months of serviceShut off the service once I opened a disputeNo resolution in sight
What a nightmare of a hosting company
BlueHost was excellent in their returns for a similar issueBetter pricing and service there as wellWish I knew better when I was first starting out

On 12/19/I ordered a domain name from Go Daddy from Web Site I copied and pasted the name I wanted from the face book page I already have "His Church are his People" I reviewed the email I received from Go Daddy and it had an 'S' at the end people since I copied and pasted I am not sure how that would happen but it was late so I made a note to call the next day I called and spoke to Grant and he corrected the mistake and then proceeded to sell me on a web hosting The service I had been looking at had free web site builder and unlimited email and gigs of space and unlimited bandwidth Grant assured me Go Daddy would match that and for a dollar a month cheaper He said if I did not like it I could cancel within business daysHe told me the builder was powerful and was just drag and drop well I bought it and paid for a year I went to my site to work on it and I found the website builder was not user friendly at all, and the first month was free then so much a mo

I can't get any support from this companyI have WordPress accountsOne of them expired, and the other has a year left on itI decided I'm not going to run the other website anymore, so I deleted itNow I want to move the website on my expired plan to the plan that has a year left on itThey tell me it's impossible to do
Then they keep giving me links to out dated documentation that doesn't helpSome hasn't been updated in a few yearsThe guy on chat support told me he can't help me, and told me to contact phone supportI contacted phone support on 1/9/at 11:PM and was on hold for an HOUR and I finally hung upRidiculous
I contacted two other hosting companies, HostGator, and JodoHost, they BOTH told me that if I signed up with them, they would provide FREE migration of my websiteThey would move it from GoDaddy's servers to their serversSo if they can move my site between companies, WHY can't GoDaddy move it within it's own company? They support person

Go Daddy charged my credit card $for two year renewalI contacted back saying I have discontinued my account on Sep Their billing department said strictly they we can not refund you any moneyI told them I didn't even set up for auto payment and they said its a defaultNow they wont return a single penny

On March 21, I went onto the GoDaddy website to try and renew an expired websiteI tried several times to take the site off of privacy and when I renewed (and purchased some other items), it charged me $for privacyThis morning I went to the godaddy chat and chatted with ***After a lengthy conversation and going through the same things on the web site that I had done before, I got nowhere and no refundSo I called godaddy and got Ryan in the billing departmentAfter going through the SAME items on their website and clicking the SAME links and being told there was a PROCESSING ERROR ON THEIR WEB SITE, he put me on hold and finally told me he could refund my moneyI have not see it yet, but this is horrible business practices on a website that is for DEVELOPING, BUYING AND MANAGING WEBSITES! I wasted two hours of my time and was overchargedAdditinoally, the godaddy website had numerous elements to help PREVENT you from checking out without additional charges
I would

Hello myself and wife are writing in about a issue we are having with go daddy and the company they use who is ***go daddy took money from our checking account which I have proof and once we called go daddy to cancel service over military matter they said we were due a refundthey sent us two emails stating that we would get a refund and on chat many chats which I also have proof of they said we would get our refund in 5-daysthings didn't sound right and after calls to *** they informed us that they just handle checks and as of now we have bounced checks due to go daddy which affects our living as well as our creditThis the first step of many to make sure this get fixed as fasti plan on contacting the AG and the consumer affairs as well as going to the military over this and the media if I need to as well as do a congressional we as military should not have to go through things such as these

GoDaddy failed to notify me properly about cessation of hosting activities, they "wiped" my business website without my knowledge and consent and did not retain a back up copy or ability to restore it As a result, I had to completely recreate my website, which took hours of my time, full payment to the webdesigner to re-create it and months of time without a website and no ability for potential customers to access same They sent one e-mail (that I can locate) to an old e-mail address notifying of website-builder renewal (no mention of hosting associated with this service) and never called to find out why my auto-renew was not working My credit card was stolen and I had to re-issue with new number My fees were prepaid with GoDaddy so I did not realize that this was one of the vendors I had not called with the ccard new number If they are hosting my website, they can simply look at the website and get all the new contact info if they are trying at all to locate me I beli

We have contacted GODADDY hosting provider times regarding multiple DCMA complains against the website ***Each time we have been told by GODADDY's DCMA employee that the user has complied and removed our media from their websiteEVERYTIME we have checked the media is STILL on the website and GODADDY DCMA employee tells us we have to file a new complaint! Either GODADDY's employee is being untruthful or the account holder is, either case someone needs to be held accountable
