Hello!
I was told in the clearest terms that I could cancel my multi-year contract at anytime for a full refund to my credit card
When I actually made the cancellation, I was informed that the refund would only be made to my GoDaddy account
I was told that this was in the 'fine print.'
I requested a full refund to my credit card and was refused
Thank you,
Robert Orchanian

I've been a loyal customer for over yearsI have also referred dozens of other customersWith that being said, my hosting account had an issue with billing that I was unaware ofApparently the credit card on file (which was set to auto-pay) had expiredThey're claiming that they emailed me, but didn'tI even checked my spam folders to make sureThey deleted my hosting account and are insisting on charging me $to restore my filesI realize the mistake I made was not having a backup of my filesBut I trusted GoDaddyI no longer doThis is harming my business, as this website is used for suchI hardly ever login directly to GoDaddy, since I can manage my site through the Wordpress interfaceSo I wouldn't have seen a billing notificationTo top all of this offmy billing is ONE DAY lateONE DAY! After over years of being a customer, and referring thousands of dollars to GoDaddy, they can't waive a one-time fee of $140?!? They DID NOT email me or otherwise attempt

I take issue with GoDaddy charging me a $fee every month for what looks like the past months to a year for services that I was not utilizing, I was not aware of the services being active, I was not even aware of the account still being openFrom using their online account manager system I was able to turn off all services that I had purchased, also the domain name for the website in question was no longer owned by meSo the site was not owned by me, the site was not active on the web, everything was turned to inactive BUT GoDaddy continued to charge me $a month for "Website Builder"If there is no active website why would there be an active website builder? GoDdady will explain that "Website Builder" is not actually a website builder but the WebHosting for the domainThat is misleading and it is not explained So regardless of what is really what I am paying for the Hosting of a website that is not active? What hosting? And I don't even own the domain, but I'm paying f

Hello,
I have to complain to godaddy.com and ***
I purchased the domain name on Godaddy.com.Godaddy initiated a transaction on ***, Godaddy told me to pay to ***
The seller of this domain is a third-party individual, now the seller defaults, the transaction can't be completed
*** told me they still to charge me escrow fees,
I think this is a huge unfairness for me, because I'm just a consumer, I should not have to pay any fees without receiving the goods

I am a Go Daddy Customer however I was searching for domain names prior to signing in and came across two names that I wanted to purchase I selected both names and signed up to pay for them for two years each I proceeded to check out where the system gave me a promotional code to use (***) and a final price for both names for two years for approx $and some change Once I clicked the orange button to pay, the system required me to sign in Once I signed in and went back to the cart the system told me the discount was a "limited promotion" and instead wanted to charge me $ I immediately clicked on the Chat button and talked to Ryan Wwho tried to tell me the promotion was no longer available (I have a copy of the chat) I then called in to Go Daddy and they indicated that unless I had a copy of the screen shot they could not give me the discounted price I only had access to the screen showing the increased price When I tried to use the back button to get b

I registered a domain through from godaddy on Nov2015-11-13,I successfully made a payment and I received confirmation about this domain is belong to me.I also successfully log in and pointed this domain to site ground for hostingHowever, this domain was suddenly locked and godaddy put this domain on auction for $dollars
I called godaddy for the reason.First time,I called, customer service ask me to follow the process to send email to @*** and I included all my information and got confirmation email Incident ID: *** .They promised to respond me within days. After 4th day,no reply at all,I called again, customer service ask me to send my id to different department
This is crazy that I only provide my ID to government and police regarding to privacy issue. The reason is ridiculous to verify my payment since I already paid in full and already successfully logged in

We have been using Godaddy for the last years now and we have had great serviceWe use the cpanel email service and now that we have over email accounts, every other month Godaddy server blocks our emails so we can't send email outWhen we call to get that issue resolved, the customer representative immediately offer us a solution which entail purchasing a different service which cost us over $per month to manage our emailsAfter we reject the sales pitch, they say we need to create a ticket and the ticket would be resolved within to hoursIt's been days since the ticket was opened and we still cant send emailsI have called times to resolve this issue but still going no whereEverytime they tell me the issue will be resolved after I hang up the phone and that is yet to happen

I started my Go daddy account last year in going over a year and half designing my own website along with many products totally over 3,000+ up until 05/15/When creating my account with *** *** which all my accounts are billed to matching my name I decided to make my Username to *** *** which shows on some of the receipts Being that my business phone was changed from a old phone number to a new one I'm unable to log into my account I no longer have access to I called Go Daddy to inform them that the security code is being sent to a phone number that is no longer available I cant log into my account is there a way they send the information to the business email account address they refuse I explain to go daddy on countless calls that my Username *** *** is me *** *** the original who created the account they refuse to let me into my company website stating I'm not the Original account after I have sent all my business information , Articles of Inco

Go Daddy does not care about their customersRead their policies carefully before you pay your hard earned dollars for future services in advanceYou are basically at their mercy and do not get any refund if they are not able to provide any service or if you want to move your account somewhere else

Our company paid GoDaddy on 1/12/to create a website for usThe design process was very cumbersome and the customer service was not good from the startRequests that were made took several attempts to resolve and the process was very slow, it was quite frustrating but we were patientWe paid the initial fee to design the website on 1/12/The website did not get up and running until March Upon the one year renewal of website we had days to get the website renewedWe paid the renewal fee and were assured in two separate phone calls that the website would be up and running againThe second call that was made on 3/7/said it would be up in hours but it was notAnother phone call on 3/13/and we were told our website was gone foreverThe days had not passedThis is unacceptable and we either need a new website up and running IMMEDIATELY at ABSOLUTELY NO COST to us or we want ALL monies paid for the website design refunded to us right away

paid over $ for our website emergency servicewhere they rebuild your website for you ours domain expiredso we had to do this after we paid the feei was told it could take weeks to do this depending on the difficultyto my surprise two minutes later I get an email saying the process is completedwent to the website and saw its a defunct hallow empty garbage of what it used to be all the data is gonei have since tried reaching them via email and phone no one replysi feel I was scammedour reputation is on the line and I cant get our website put back updisgraceful

In October of this year, I contacted Go Daddy to renew our domain and hostingWe have been with the company since and every year, the cost is roughly $for both of those productsThis year we had spoken with the rep regarding "Website Builder"We were considering utilizing it as we desired to not have to go through the third party who had been maintaining our siteThe Go Daddy reps (I had spoken with them on more than one occasion) had said it was a very simple program "anyone could do it as long as you could drop and drag" I was told by the rep in Octthat they had a special on website builderI would get it for about the same price as what we were paying for the regular siteHe also said I would get a FREE domain nameI told him I didn't need another domain name and he said "well, you might as well take it since it's FREEYou can just use it as a redirect" I said okOn December 1st, when I realized we were never going to be able to figure this website builder out

On 8-8-I contacted GoDaddy after seeing someone had either accessed my email account or was spoofing it I could not access my account due to Factor Authentication being enabled I recently had to factory reset my Samsung Galaxy S Once I did that I lost the Factor Authentication code from Google Authenticator and I have no way of re-enabling it GoDaddy said I needed to fill out the Factor Authentication disable form on their website which I submitted on 8-8- In the meantime, lots of spam was being sent from my email address which caused GoDaddy to block all outgoing email from my account I asked them to turn off my email account completely or reset my password I told them they didn't even have to give the new password to me just turn it off in case my account was accessed They said they could not do this since they didn't have the Factor Authentication code I asked them what their backup is when a customer has no code and they said there is NO BACKUP

GoDaddy placed a 60-day transfer hold on my domain name after a street address change
I contacted GoDaddy requesting removal of this lock, so that I can immediately transfer the domain to BlueHost
GoDaddy was contractually required to release this domain within calendar days according to the following ICANN regulations: ***
It has been calendar days, and I have not received a response, and the transfer lock remains
I have included the email in question below for reference

I sold a domain on Godaddy Before payment was made to me, I called to tell the rep an old, invalid paypal account was still listed on my Godaddy account He told me just to add my new Paypal account and it would be fine It wasn't They proceeded to deposit the funds into the invalid account anyway After several calls and emails (and being on the phone with reps who lacked knowledge of their own system) the matter still is not resolved I've been emailing Michelle Carrozza and her supervisor Randy Wilson repeatedly I received one response from the supervisor with a canned response that did not even address the issue It has been weeks and I still have not been paid for my domain, which they've transferred to the new owner THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALWAYS TERRIBLE, BUT THIS TIME TOPS ALL! JUST TERRIBLE!

Terrible customer service, convoluted systems, and questionable policies on privacy

Dishonest ordering process; Connected with Christy - the meanest horrible, Rude, Unsympathetic Customer Service Manager!
I ordered domain registrations from GoDaddy on Christmas, 12/25/ They had a problem with their shopping cart which did not give me the breakdownWhen I went to payment, I was shocked to find out that there were only domains and one of them was ordered for two yearsGoDaddy tricks you by defaulting to a two year subscription while advertising for one year subscriptionsWhen I called customer support and they couldn't help me and I requested a supervisorChristy, the supervisor, was the most discourteous, unsympathetic, rude bordering on intentionally mean, was rigid regarding her position, would not give me any contact name or email address to her boss, the company Vice President of Customer Support, or the CEO After spending an hour with her, I accomplished nothing which resulted in ruining my Christmas, feeling defrauded by a company I have done business with for over ten years!

I called in and spoke with Godaddy call center because I wanted to know if they had and special promotions and the person I spoke to modified my account without my knowledge and basic to me I has to pay a year instead of my a year I have been paying for yearsI told him that can't be right and let me get another agent on the phoneSo I call back and spoke to new agency and she looked back at my account and notice I was correct so I told her to get a supervisor (Steve) he told me that I manipulate the system and he didn't know why my bill was so cheapI reminded him that I have been with godaddy for years and haven't had any majors issue and I just want the rate I had beforeHe told me that I really own godaddy more money because this plan with up last year and I said when I paid the said amount year? I also ask him to show me on your website where it when and why wasn't I notified, he said Godaddy has the right to go up on prices when that want without noticeSo

In order to prevent expiring of registered domain names, I renewed them via credit card on Godaddy.com web site I received an email a couple of days later with a large in bold banner saying "Renewal Failure Notice" Underneath it "Mistakes happenCredit cards expireThat's why we're contacting you" In order to prevent domains I have had for or so years from lapsing, I went back online and resubmitted order While checking credit card a week later, I found both charges went through I called godaddy customer service to remove second charge, and they refused, saying they would have to cancel the website domains as opposed to reducing the renewal period to the original year purchased

I don't believe I've ever established a relationship with GoDaddyYet, somehow, they've managed to pull over $in service fees via auto-debit to my accountI've tried to resolve this matter through my bank but my bank alleges that GoDaddy submitted documentation to prove their claimI've since requested all documentation so that I can review these myself
GoDaddy has violated my rights (below) as defined by the CFPB (see cfpb.gov):
Federal law provides certain protections for recurring automatic debit paymentsYou have the right to stop a company from taking automatic payments from your account, even if you previously allowed them(Immediately after discovering the first unexpected charge from GoDaddy back in February 2018, I sent a letter in which I revoked all automatic payments and demanded the cancelation and closure of any and all accounts with my name
Furthermore, per the CFPB: The company must give you a copy of the terms of your payment authorizationThe payme
