godaddy has the worst customer service representatives I have ever had an experience withI called one day because I was having issues with my websiteWhen I called them for assistance they claimed to have fixed the problem but they never didI called them back again and they blamed me for the problem with the website and told me I cancelled the service! To my knowledge I never cancelled any services! I wanted my website to not go "live" while I changed itThey said when I did that it cancelled the whole website then they tried to charge me money to get it back! That's a scam! It's very vague and confusing trying to use their softwareYou would think they would want you to be aware if you cancel a service! They would not restore the service that I signed up for! Total scam!!!

I was trying to transfer my domain away from GoDaddy.com When I went to transfer it would not let me unless I updated the ICANN Once I did that, GoDaddy refuses to transfer my domain and sent multiple rejections I have emailed *** without any response My domain is expiring on 2/23/and GoDaddy wants to get more money from my account

I wonder how they get an A+ rating with positive reviews and negative
Find another hosting company They automatically renew for 2-years without notice or a refund (partial or full) Customer Service is essentially too bad for you Not submitting a complaint since I'm sure they've covered themselves with the small print

March 7th I purchased a domain and a website builder package that included the ability to password protect pages within my website restricting elements within my website to privileged users/staff only The cost of this package was for a year contract including the domain
Today I logged in to start setting up my business website only to discover logging in today that they had updated the design software and in so doing removed the password secure functionality in the web design applicationI contacted support to address this issue and the general consensus while there are other packages that are in fact cheaper and and provide the features that had been part of the plan I had initially purchasedhowever the company representatives are not willing to provide me the service I paid for nor transition my account into one that provides the services I paid for

In June we closed our business and in early July shut down our website that was hosted by GoDaddy At this point in time we did not close out our bank account because we were holding funds to pay the taxes at the end of the year We receive quarterly bank statements from our bank When I received our 3rd quarter bank statement, ending October 31, in early November I noticed a charge on the account from Go Daddy for $on October When I called them asking what this charge was for since we no longer had a website I was told that we were never un-enrolled for the auto renewal charge I stated that I just assumed that since we canceled everything that would have been taken care of Due to the fact that I notified them after the day window of the charge occurring, GoDaddy stated that there was nothing they could do other than remove the auto renewal from happening again

I signed up two websites with GoDaddy, and I wish I never didThey built both sites for me, which took almost months to complete, and it wasn't even anything fancy and it wasn't cheapWhen I started to add products, that is when things went downhillThe site became super slow, and ran into a lot of issuesWhen I try to ask for help, they always want to charge me, even though they are the ones that built itThe most recent issue I had was all my products vanishing from the site, I almost had a heart attackWhen I call them to resolve it, they say it will take days to fix; are you kidding me! It took me months to add all the products and to have them vanish is not something you take lightlyI am honestly done with them and moving both of my sites somewhere else

During a general engine search I found a domain name for 99cents Once I login to my account to pay the price jumps up to $ I have done business with this company before and this is the first time I have run into such gross advertising I was given a promo code by their employee and that didn't work They shouldn't go up 120% because I live in NYC

Godaddy sent me an email to renew my URLat $per year(***) (Renew Now button) I pushed the button and the price went to $(Bait and Switch) I called Godaddy and they said I must renew for years and pay a privacy fee of $ In September I found that Godaddy had leaked my private email, phone and address to the internet I checked their privacy statement and there is no mention of a fee I called them times and send an email and a letter and have not received a responseThe privacy fees are new and do not protect my privacy Godaddy did call last week for me to buy more products

We had Go Daddy build us a website and it was non-responsive We asked them to convert our existing website to a platform that was more responsive and they agreed to convert our existing website as is for a set price They then called back over a series of months and up the price on separate occasions They took our money and now they want to build a page website instead of the pages they agreed to

Godaddy attempted to steal my domain nameI checked the whois database and I was the owner, however, Godaddy changed the IP address of my domain name to a page, stating the account of the domain name was suspended
I caught Godaddy red handed trying to steal my app domain name
The account rep Cody did a great job and rectified the situation and changed the IP address back to what is originally was
However, I do NOT trust Godaddy anymore because they committed fraud against me and my ownership of the domain by changing my IP Address of my parked domain to "Account Suspended" Status

My name is *** ***I am GoDaddy Cr ***I was informed by Customer Service personnel that ~for reasons unknown to me~ I also appear in their records with Cr
In February 5th2018, I entered a contractual agreement with GoDaddy to host a web site of my choiceAt that time, I also purchase a new Domain NameBoth transactions are shown in the Screenshot of the invoice with Order Number *** which is attached to this claim
I decided to abandon the Domain Name I acquired that day, I then decided to host a web site that I own since the year I proceeded to enquire GoDaddy Customer Service personnel as to how I should upload files and graphics
At that time, I was informed that my web site was wrongly assigned the Windows Operating System, and that transferring my account to a *** *** will cost approximately $
Since I voluntarily abandoned the Domain Name ***, I assume the lose; but I do not acc

Moving from different hosting to GoDaddy was the biggest IT mistake we have done
Constant problems with office email hosting and constant inability to fix the issue with their useless teck support unless we upgrade from standard cPanel packageAgain, not like their standard package doesn't offer some service or extras we need but it is simply doesn't workReady to pay for every email use? You should be because it is a special offer! Usually it is 79.95! Never had this issue before with other hostingPlease stay away from this company and their business practices

My partner had a website hosted by GoDaddy
He died last October They helped themselves to another payment for this year, will not repay it, and to add insult to injury send me chirpy emails about how well it is doing
I tried phoning them, the young child that answered the phone said they had never had a customer die on them before, did not know what to do
Do not deal with them, run screaming if they suggest doing business with you, they are not capable people

I have held my domain.com name with GoDaddy pretty much since they beganBack then, before they got 'greedy' for money, I never had any issues with them, and their website was simple (without all the massive 'popup' windows now trying to sell you things you don't need or want!)I have ALWAYS chosen the MANUAL payment method and ONCE A YEAR I would do my ANNUAL renewal via my paypal acct(and I would ALWAYS double ck that my settings remained at the MANUAL renewal option and ONLY for ONE year)When your set option is 'manual' you automatically get numerous emails the prior month before your domain cost expires, as a reminder to go to their site and make your MANUAL paymentThis is also how you KNOW you are on the MANUAL option...the email tells you this! So the day before the renewal was due, I went to their site (for the first time since I last renewed a year ago), double cked all my settings, and seeing it was still on MANUAL payment option, and for ONE year, I went ahead and made my Paypal payment and rec'd confirmation of my ONE year renewal (along with the privacy cost for a total payment of $for ONE year)This was on Jan.12th that I made the pymnt and the expdate was Jan.13th so all was wellSuddenly on Jan14th I get a 'confirmation' email from Paypal telling me I just made an AUTO pay!? to GoDaddyWhen I went into my Paypal acct., sure enough there were now TWO charges of $each (instead of just my ONE MANUAL charge that I made on Jan.12th)I figured this was some sort of system error on GoDaddy's part, and tried to contact them via email (not knowing this conow set itself up to AVOID talking to customers)...when I didn't hear back I tried calling, but couldn't get thruSo then I searched and found a Chat link, tried that, not operational even tho I was contacting them within their stated OPEN hoursFinally thinking that I was being scammed, I contacted Paypal and filed a dispute, telling them that the company DOUBLE BILLED me and I needed my ONE EXTRA paymnt refunded to me ASAPPaypal wrote back and said that it would take days before they had a response to dispute, that is the time they allow their vendors to reply to their email regarding a chargebackWell surprise surprise....no reply from GoDaddy to Paypal either (I later found out, when I finally GOT on Chat, that not only don't they answer emails from customers but they refuse to answer Paypal's as well...told me that it was something I had to do ...even when I told them that Paypal is DIRECTLY emailing them to get in touch to clear up the double billing, so how am I suppose to answer THEIR emails FOR THEM?? ...also I had numerous contacts with Paypal already....I've handled my end of it...they need to take their own responsibility and handle their side of Paypal's requests for communication...still the 'less than human' woman rep refused...her reason? "we don't do that" (???what?, you are in business as a vendor thru Paypal and you refuse to communicate with them when there is a problem??)She also keep insisting I went and CHANGED my MANUAL setting to AUTOPAY and since I did this (which I DID NOT and told her so numerous times) that I made paymnts to cover yrs of renewal and they don't do refunds (now I'm thinking, well what the hell DOES your company DO anyway!..besides drive your customers away!?)I told her that GoDaddy obviously had a glitch in their system, because I ONLY made the ONE MANUAL pymt and I DIDN'T change anything PLUS I ALWAYS check ALL my settings before I submit a pymnt....she just kept repeating that they were not at fault, and I made the switch to AUTOPAYThis didn't even make any sense, even if I had gone and actually done this, because first of all, if I already made my renewal pymnt on Jan.12th MANUALLY, even if I then had gone back and switched the setting to autopay, it wouldn't have processed a renewal, because my Jan.12th payment already renewed the domain name for another year, so any autopay wouldn't (and shouldn't) even submit a renewal until the NEXT expdate of Jan.13, 2017! Also, after I made the Jan.12th MANUAL payment, I rec'd my immediate confirmation from Paypal that it went thru and also the confirmation email from GoDaddy showing the NEW expiration date now as Jan.13, (because it renewed me for another year)I never went back to their site after I made this payment on Jan.12th (no reason to), so if I was never back on their site, how could I have changed any of my settings over to AUTOPAY? None of their ACCUSATIONS made any sense other than they are scammers who just are after your money, and they don't care how they get itI ended with telling them that Paypal will reverse BOTH payments if THEY refuse to reply to Paypal's contact attempts, and I even said I didn't want that to happen...I ONLY wanted ONE of the duplicate payments refunded so that I still had my domain name renewed and active for the ONE year that I originally paid forThey didn't care..just said, again re: not replying to Paypal, that it was my job to talk to them (even though Paypal was emailing them directly!), and said that if both payments are reversed, my domain name will be canceled out of my acct and will become the property of GoDaddy, until I reinstate BOTH payments back again! I couldn't believe what I was hearing! After being a customer for over years, making my yearly payments on time (MANUALLY with Renewals ONE YEAR at a time), they are now threatening me over THEIR ERROR and instead of keeping a long time PAYING customer, and just refunding the $they double charged me (which they would be getting back when the next renewal date of 1/13/came around again), they would rather keep a name that won't get them any money (it's not a name anyone else is on the market looking to buy!), and lose a long standing customer instead I've never in my life seen such a GREEDY company! Well Paypal didn't get a reply from them, and so reversed both payments, and GoDaddy IMMEDIATELY shut me out of my Domain.COM acct., and so I couldn't even transfer my .com name to another holder, because GoDaddy said it was now their property because I didn't pay them to renew! I told these greedy creeps to keep it...that .COM domain name is now tainted and I wanted NO reminder of being connected to GoDaddy at all! (Instead I went and registered the same name but now as .ORG and hope to NEVER connect with that SLIMY coever again, and pray they go out of business for their CROOKED business tactics! But even then, bad enough I lost my .COM domain after 15+ yrs of making yearly payments just to own it (a total of about $lost for nothing now!), my nightmare didn't end there, because even though GoDaddy rec'd no payment now from Paypal, Paypal only refunded the ONE payment back to me, and not the second one! Because the payment amts were the same and only within two days of each other, they would 'scan' all my emails, see a refund was made (not bothering to read that TWO $amts were due me, not just one), so after over a month of constant emailing back and forth to Paypal where I got so tired of their 'form letter replies' stating "the money was refunded and case is now closed" (making it impossible for me to contact them about the same case, having to find other 'creative options' because closed cases won't let you reply anymore), I finally had to send an email directly to *** CEO repeating everything that happened and how Paypal cust.svcis just bothering to notice the one refund and then just assuming 'entire case was resolved' and ignoring the fact that a SECOND $payment still was outstanding and needed to be returned to me! A week later (and a total of wks!! now from the date I made my first payment to GoDaddy on Jan.12th), I FINALLY got the refund for the SECOND $backThis is the INSANITY GoDADDY caused someone who just wanted to renew her domain name for a single year, like I have been doing for over years nowI saw how they have already started losing customers, which I was THRILLED to hear, and look forward to the day they lose them all, due to their crooked business ethics! What's ironic also, is when I went to another register to buy my new .ORG domain name, it only cost me HALF of what GoDaddy was charging me every year for over yrs...had I of realized this earlier...I would have just DROPPED them, instead of bothering to even process a renewal! To the public reading this....stay as far away from this coif you want to keep your domain name AND your sanity, and not be paying their INFLATED prices either!

Due to an unrecognized charge on CC for a domain that was already paid for up to May of 2018, I challenged the chargeWhen GoDaddy got notified by CC company of the charge-back, they YANKED or FROZE my domain name that was already paid for and held it ransom till I paid for the charge-back fee and RENEWAL fee that was not due till May of I gave an example of purchasing a 3-year domain that is not due to expire in and they claim that is the policy to RANSOM the domain if a renewal or extended renewal is dinged with a charge-backSo they forced me to pay a $charge-back FEE and renewal on a domain that was already paid forI had no choice because my business is an online businessOnce they restored the domain back, I still had issues with domain propagating in the Internet and called back to get it resolvedI want my $back or I will TRANSFER each domain to Network Solutions as they come due and NEVER EVER recommend or use GoDaddy againBad policy and crappy way to t

I purchased the Godaddy Workspace Email for my businessIt came to my attention recently that I was not receiving certain emails from clients and business partnersI contacted Godaddy Support and they instructed me to delete the account and add it back once deletedI did this and soon found that I was still not receiving emailsI contacted Godaddy support again, this time the tech support agent sent me an email (which I received) and informed me that there was no problemI told him that my wife had sent me two emails that morning which I didn't receive, and I have screenshots from my business partners showing me emails that they had sent to my correct address, that I had again not receivedHe said there was nothing he could do and ended the conversationI migrated my emails to a new provider and called Godaddy back to cancel my productThey informed me that I had an automatic renewal and that I would not be refunded for the remaining months (Feb-Oct)They sold me a defective p

When I signed up for my email three year extension I knew I would be canceling it down the roadThe personI was talking with at the time assured me I could cancel my contract anytime and be refunded the unused portionI didn't think anything of it because this person was giving me a credit back to my credit card because the company took it upon themselves to do an automatic renewal on another service I was using of theirsSo why would it be any different with this situation, the person did not tell me I would not get a credit back to my credit card but a credit back to my go Daddy accountThey forgot to mention this one little thingSo I believe I was not told the whole truth with what would happen with my credit once I cancel the email serviceI would like a credit back to my credit card for the balance still owed me

On 4/4/I purchased some email address for my brand new dental office that I had purchased, these email address were solely for business purposes I had all emails forwarded to my main personal email so it would easier to check on them I never got any emails and figured that nobody was trying to reach us through the email since my patients call the office I had an issue with my google account and google had to send me some emails to one of those email addresses that I had purchased They would keep sending an email to me and I wouldn't receive anything, I even checked the junk mailI finally called go-daddy last week and they concluded that something wasn't set up right on there end and none of the emails weren't working since they never connected properly That means that for the last months, we weren't get any of the emails We were spending about 3k a month on advertising and G-d only knows how much business we lost because of these, I can only imagine that its in

Terrible service to close to $and then asked me to pay another $to upgrade serviceConsumer be aware, Godaddy provides absolutely lousy serviceDo not host with them everWrote to the manager three times never got a response back

I setup an account in and set it so that it would not renew automaticallyThis account was never used, not onceIn August of a representative from GoDaddy called me directly and asked if I would like to renewI told them no I do not want the renewal and if they had any further questions they could call my husbandFast forward to today, my husband is doing our taxes and notices that GoDaddy went ahead and charged me over $regardless of my telling them NO do not renewWhen we contacted GoDaddy they refused to do anything about this other than turn off an auto renew that was obviously never on to begin withI called AMEX and they also told it as terrible as this company is that they could not dispute because it was over months since the chargeThis is nothing less than theft and this company is committing FRAUD
