I noticed today a charge from Go Daddy on my credit card statement. After some research I figured out it was for a domain name that I haven't used in years that should of been taken off auto renewal at the same time my former woodlandinsperations.net account was deactivated. I call your customer service line for assistance on the matter and they were no help. Basic were sorry can't help you and confirmed it is no longer on auto renewal.

I reserved urls several years ago on GoDaddyAfter time went by, I didn't check that email oftenApparently they sent a notice that my urls would renew for yearsI didn't realize this was happening (mid Jan 2018)I called weeks later (early Feb 2018) and requested a cancelation and pro-rated refund, which they refused because it was against their policy Even now, I cannot tell which products are on auto-renewI get so many notices to upgrade or go back and renew urls I canceled in the past, it's very difficult to weed through all of their notes to see which ones relate to something I care aboutAnd I am afraid to unsubscribe because there are two urls I really do need to keep The upgrades and scare tactics are very obvious; the fine print to cancel is very smallAnd you are locked in to a multi-year renewalThe company relies on customers forgetting about their auto-renewal products so they can make more moneyAnd, since they don't accept emailed customer service r

We have a hosting service with the company We received an email yesterday 3/9/at 8:20AM that our Hosting Renewal Notice Failure We had recently got all new debt cards The notice says they are contacting us to update payment information and we should go online and click a link attached to update info and renew When I clicked on the link the Hosting package was not there I did that at 10:30am I finally had time to call last night at 5PM and was told they had deleted my hosting package and would restore it for $ The Person on the phone told me they contacted us three times about itAnd was told I needed to talk to the hosting department I was on hold for over a hour last night to get ahold of someone in hosting when I finally had to leave I have a specific email setup for Godaddy to receive emails I had go through every single email in our system and we NEVER received any other notices of our Hosting package I called again today and escalated to a supervisor

Immediately after I opened my webpage my page was hacked and people would see pornography when they went to my webpage (my webpage was selling a children's book)I Purchased whatever was recommended to me at the time of purchaseAfter I found out about the [redacted] I called back and additional services were recommended for me to purchasedI didThe [redacted] came back and additional services were recommended for me to purchasedAgain, I did that and ultimately my site had to deleted and started overI was left with an empty webpageI am a nurse, I know how to save lives, not build web pagesI called for help building the webpage and was told again THERE IS A FEE FOR THATAfter all of the fees, frustration and time, you would think they would just tell me how to build the webpageNot even build it for me (that would be nice), just tell me howThey sent me a link that was more complicated than tending to patients post heart transplantsI don't know how much money I spent all toge

I followed a linked promotion through my employer’s website offering a $per .COM website purchaseI selected websites & placed them in my Godaddy cart at the $priceHowever, when my order went into the pay review my website costs immediately changed to $per .COMI called customer serviceA couple of hours later and lots of placements on hold, I was told that since I had been with Godaddy for over years, “historically, if I ever purchased a website at the $price, then I would never be able to purchase a $website in the present or future”Baffled by such an eternal promo policy, I asked if this restriction was somewhere in writing for the customer to reviewWell, the answer was simple, not from my account or accessibility anywhere in the websiteI had to be emailed the policy from the customer service repIn the policy’s vagueness, there was words that were supposed to represent a previous customer forever, never having access to this $.COM

On 2/I saw on my credit card account (ends in 001) a charge for $from Godaddy dated 1/I called the GoDaddy Customer Service number and was told that this was a monthly maintenance fee for a web site called [redacted] I have never heard of this website beforeI was further told that this was an ongoing maintenance fee that had been charged to my credit card account since August of I disputed thatRather than give me an immediate credit the representative told me to call my credit card company American ExpressI did, asked them to dispute the charge, and had them verify that no other monthly charges have been billed to my accountThe representative said he could only refund the $within two days of a billing; frankly, this refund policy, particularly when the charge is erroneous, is outrageousMost people, including me, do not look at their credit card on a daily basisI believe GoDaddy at best is guilty of poor customer service by providing erroneous

There was a charge to my bank card for an auto renewal of a service I was not aware I was subscribed toI Contacted a customer service agent through the Chat function of godaddy.comA person named Jun B [redacted] answered the line, and was very polite, and as helpful as possible, but not able to handle my request for a speedy refund, I understoodJun referred me to her supervisor, and I was mis-transferred, I get back on, reach Jun again, who sincerely apologized, and brought me on with her managerMike D I asked Mike specifically to confirm that the refund for the charge on my debit card was approved and being processedMike had already approved this request before I spoke with him and I received a confirmation email minutes into our conversation about the refund being approved Mike spent over one hour arguing that I needed to call the billing department for resolution, I advised him that I am unable to make a phone call at this time, and I need immediate resolution for

I have had domain names registered with GoDaddy over the past years or soAt first, I was impressed with their service and pricing plansThey were helpful in setting up and transferring domains to my site hostsIn recent years, they have gotten worse to the point that I am trying to move all of my domain names from them I had a domain expire over a year ago which I received no notification from GoDaddy (in the past, they notified me), and it was immediately purchased or blocked upon expirationI did some research and found out that it was actually purchased by a GoDaddy affiliate, and they wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to purchase it backNo thanks This week I purchased a new domainThe day after doing so, I received about spam calls, about half of them robotic and about half from Indian people who were extremely unprofessionalThis never happened in the past when I purchased domains from GoDaddy I don't know what has happened to this business to turn their business strategy to junk, but I'm finished with GoDaddy

This couses practices designed to encourage loss of service to customers so that they can extort "recovery fees." They then demand month payments for restoration of website when they know that their own policies allow for mohosting plus the $ransom payment for each site to restore sites to live active online status They deliberately fail to provide proper notice to site / domain name owner when the customer's site is down due to billing issue such as credit card neededNo phone call, no clear email messageThey camouflage email notices with promotional offer messages and many other notices so the customer is not alerted to the urgent matter of their site being scheduled for "removal" and ZERO NOTICE AFTER SITE IS ACTUALLY "REMOVED." They take actions that they themselves "puts you out of business." until they collect your ransomWhen you call to complain or dispute their lies and hostile actions, they do not allow you to speak with supervisors and refuse to answer

On March 28, I purchased multiple domains from GoDaddy.com including kaittyler.comI added the secrutiy option to all domains which protects your personal information with encryption and 'dump' emails and business addressesWhen I went to check out, it was suggested to me by GoDaddy that I also purchase kaittyler.us to protect the integrity of kaittyler.comSince purchasing my GoDaddy domains I have been harassed with at least phone calls a day by third party phishing companies trying to "set up my website' for meI finally realized that the only 'new' thing I had done with my business was purchase those domains last week I called GoDaddy customer service today to ask how my personal information was given out and they explained that the privacy protection was not available for my kaittyler.us domain- so all of my information was public and that was why I was getting the callsI asked them to refund me for the .us domain because of this issue and was told that their policy wa

Go daddy made a mistake with updating my billing information and deleted my website that I had spent over $on and five years in order to get to the first page of GoogleThey only compensated me for one year of website builder for the inconvenienceThen my website field to publish because the web developer didn't know what he was doing and four of the months was taking up for thatI called back in to finally get the issue resolved and then I asked for a credit for nine dollars for the inconvenience of the three hours I had spent on the phone and the Disappearance of a website that I had spent over $on and got my business over $100,a year go daddy is literally has the worst most strict on lenient customer service department that literally tells you to stop talking that they won't do what you ask for literally begin the conversation by telling me I will not give you what you're asking for but I'll find something

I have all of my domain names registered with GodaddyWhen it is time to renew, they do not tell you the number of years that you are renewing for, It is not put into the email they send youIt is not available on their web siteIf you have automatic renewal, they bill you for as many years as they want and then tell you that you can not lower the number of yearsAVOID doing business with themThey are sleazy, dishonest and not forthcomingAny honest business would tell you the total they are selling you when they send you a renewal reminderAn honest business would also display the number of years of renewal with the domain name information and make it easy to changeNOTE: There are almost complaints against them and take warningDO NOT do business with themThey are a rip off Why they have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com is beyond my comprehension

I made in inquiry about my email as I noticed my email on the GoDaddy (GD) server was not showing all my past emails, only recent ones. I was informed that because I was on a POP account that GD no longer supported my POP account that it was a remnant feature and that I needed to change over to an IMAP account. GD NEVER TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO SUMMARILY DELETE YEARS OF MY EMAIL THAT I RELIED ON GD SERVERS TO HOLD. My settings were such that when I deleted an email from my laptop it NEVER was to be deleted from the server. GD acted like they did not know what I was talking about. I not only lost years of critical communications I also lost ALL MY CONTACTS! GD has become an inept racket. I need to know what my recourse is - I feel like I have been robbed and left on the side of road. Words cannot describe my frustration and disgust with this organization. Up until this point they were a great service and I have been with them for many years. When this happens you realize just how path

After haven solicited the services for the hosting of my foundation's website www.achancetogive.com from GoDaddy for approximately years, I lost my services due to expired paymentdays after the expiration date, I contacted GoDaddy through the customer service number provided on their website on Wednesday, August, 15,at approximately 20Heastern timeAn individually who only identified himself as Kelly, attempted to help me by offering to further sell a products which included a restoration fee of $and discounted $fee for the yearly service as he statedThis individually who categorically refused to either fully identify who he was or provide me with an operation ID number clearly made known to me that, there is nothing he can do to further help if I didn't pay the amount of money that he was requesting from meDespite my plea for him to return my website information so that I may take my business somewhere elseI then requested to talk to a manager; at this po

On Thu 08-24, I purchased a Domain Name and web hosting for one year for $dollars with godaddy, They took the money from my credit card and gave access to the service Client: [redacted] User: [redacted] security number: [redacted] Next day, the security service locked me out for security doubts about credit card ownership and asked me for my ID I sent them my national ID from Costa Rica and as they do not like it, are refusing to remove the restricion So they took my money but are not providing the service I paid for

I had a [redacted] discount program that was giving me a pretty good discount with GodaddySomeone who works at Godaddy removed this discount program without my knowledge or permissionI noticed my prices had jumped substantially

After canceling my hosting plan they still charged me $for something I haven't been usingthen the lady I talked to said yes she totally understand but it is too late to issue me a refundi asked or store credit at least and she said that she can'tafter asking to speak to the manager she came back and told me the manager is offering me $in store credit! I asked$instead of $you took from me? doesn't sound like a fair deal

Recently renewed multiple domains at Godaddy, then modified one, resulting in a credit of $ Instead of issuing us a credit on our credit card, they put the credit into a special holding account without notifying usWhen we found out about this, we asked if the credit would be applied to upcoming bills, and were told No We then asked what the credit would be used for, we were told it would not be used unless we contacted them and specifically asked for a refund In other words, they will keep your money indefinitely unless you specifically contact them and direct them to issue a refund I believe that Godaddy is not an ethical business
