I am a longtime customer of GoDaddy and have always paid my fees on timeOver the years I have required little-customer service or tech supportAnytime that I have contacted GoDaddy over the past years, I notice that the tech reps are programmed to "upsell" me on service This was just an unfortunate aspect to an otherwise good service provider
Recently, I was told that I needed to upgrade to GoDaddy's new service for my domain name and emailThis service does not come cheap and so I expected some tech support to be rolled into the hefty price
Initially, the tech rep I talked to (*** ***) assured me that the changeover from my exisiting computer/Outlook version of the email program would be painlessShe was very helpful and even provided me with step-by-step instructions concerning baof my old Outlook foldersThis process took some time, so we agreed that I would be able to conact *** via email later in the day to continue my installation

GoDaddy sends e-mails saying it will automatically renew at a certain price per yearHowever, when the date comes, GoDaddy automatically charges for two yearsWhen I log in, the only choice is to auto renew or notIt does not give a choice of number of years or warn that the default is two yearsAlso, despite all the advanced technology at GoDaddy's disposal, it maintains that once charged, it is impossible to changeIt cannot refund for one year nor change the length of my termI feel they are being intentionally deceptive and saying they are unable to make changes to my term are ludicrous
I had disabled the discussion and comments function on my websiteI had no idea that it had been enabled at a later time (exactly how and when I do not know)Pornographers and other adult content had flooded my comments section which I only recently discovered was visible by visitors to my siteThis sickened me for, for years I had been targeted as a forced recruit by pornographers also involved in prostitutionI did everything in my power to report of these individuals and their activities to law enforcement officialsGoDaddy did remove the offensive content and again, disabled the comments section on my websiteThey would be providing a far greater service to their customers and to the community at large if they ceased hosting pornography websites altogether
I have been a member of Go Daddy services for over yearsFor the last years I have not been able to access my account because over yeas ago it was setup with my stage nameI cannot access my accounts I have with Go Daddy They have screwed up my email access and have also been billing me for products I do not know what I am being billed forI have moved from the physical address they have on file and I need to resolve these issuesI have lost business that is now a substantial amount to be brought to civil courtBelow is a receipt for billing for product I do not know or can control

My website was receiving a "503" error I called Go Daddy and the customer service representative, Maya, for minutes told me the issue was on my end I told her I was certain it was not as I was receiving the error on multiple browsers and nothing has changed with my website She was very un-professional and un-helpful After 20+ minutes she ran a Tracer and found - wait for it - yes, Go Daddy is having a server issue The situation was un-resolved for hours with no follow-up
I later in the day had to call in because my Google Merchant code to verify my website had somehow disconnected and since putting that HTML code on my website I had changed to a new web hosting agreement for more money that included "service" - upon calling to determine how to find this code given the back end was hosted differently Jonathan was very unhelpful and unprofessional At one point he told me that he couldn't help me I said well this is a serviced hosting so if you can't help me then tr
I recently initiated a transfer to move of our companies' domain addresses away from GoDaddy after their prices for renewal were simply no longer cost effective to continue using them as our domain host
The process for transferring these away from GoDaddy is already complex in nature, creating a chilling effect for the end use like myselfDuring this process, authorization codes are issued by GoDaddy that are necessary for the new domain provider to have in order to transfer the domainsThey're emailed to the address on file
After days of not receiving the codes, I inquired with GoDaddy, only to find that the email address associated with the these domains were incorrectMyself, nor anyone at my company changed these email addresses and the CS agent at GoDaddy told me that If I change them there would be a 60-day lock applied to the domains, preventing me from moving themAgain, another chilling effect
After complaining to the CS representative about the issue, s
On January 17,I paid godaddy.com online $to host and secure my website ***On April 10, 2017, I tried to access *** and received an error message: "BAD REQUEST - INVALID HOST NAME."
I called godaddy.comThey stated that they do not "host" that website and did not know who does it for sureThey suggested "West Host" which I triedThey did not host it and I was referred to *** then *** then Domainsbyproxy.com who referred me back to godaddy.com
I attempted to stop automatic renewal by godaddy.com online and I received error messagesEven though their phone message states that I could send an email, I sent an email asking them to correct the website error message and to stop automatic renewal and ask for a refund for a product they are supposed to ensure but does not existI received an automatic email stating they cannot be reached by email
I called them today, on April 20,2017, asking them to correct the error or refund me and to stop auto
I purchased a domain name in February 2016, for a full year In August 2016, my GoDaddy account was hacked and the hacker canceled my domain, then changed the email address on the account so I would not receive information on the cancellation
I discovered the issue, when my website was "turned off" Even though I purchased the domain for a year, GoDaddy would not activate it without me paying, again, for the same domain They also did not care that I was the victim of a fraud/hack that occurred on their site and failed to resolve the situation

I bought Domain Buy Service for the domain *** from Godaddy and received no serviceThe status of the service was changed to "closed" while they took my money
- There is no update on the negotiation status on the contact with seller
- There is no transparent communication trail
- The status of the negotiation got closed immediately even though no service was provided
This is the laziest way of making money ever
Our account was automatically billed for unnecessary services totally up to a little under $200! These services were setup by our website developer who is no longer with us and it was setup in 2015!! We were not aware that these charges were being made or that they were originally configured on auto-rebill, and when we found out the customer support representative said they were not able to give a prorated refund regardless of our situation We are days outside of the day refund policy
We don't feel that we are being treat as a valued customer and are being scammed with the auto rebilling policy structure that is completely designed to take advantage of unaware or apathetic customersWe are extremely unhappy about these charges as nearly $is a lot of money for us to pay for services that aren't being used nor wantedYes we are to blame as those charges should not have gone unnoticed on our credit card statement but give the fact that our web developer did not communi
I have purchase a service in October of last year (SSL certification) and paid in full for the whole yearSomehow because they have offered me in a chat a longer period for the certification and I told them that I would decide if I wanted to prolong the time they have cancelled my certification
My website had a deletion of it's configuration therefore it was not online, so I was not able to use the SSL for that period of timeNow that I needed it I called since my programmer was not finding itThey have cancelled it without my authorization and want me to pay in full for another year not considering that they have not provided me with the service of the whole year as agreed in the purchase
Their proposal is for me to loose all the money I have given to them and purchase another one for the time I have already purchased and paid without any refund
I was able to talk to Donald that gave me the same informationNo amount of time or talk took us to any resolution of my mon
Two years ago, I purchased a website through GoDaddy.com to start my business as an Independent Consultant for *** ***I was told my another consultant that the website would not renew itself and I would need to monitor the time the website would expire, or I would lose the domain nameNowhere did it state when I registered that I was going to be put on an auto renew planAbout six months to one year later, the company, *** ***, was bought out by another company, Pure Romance, and I did not pursue this businessAs a result of this, I no longer used the email address associated with the businessOn August 21, 2017, there was a charge on my bank account for $from GoDaddy.comIt took me a few days to realize this was from when I participated in *** ***, and the charge was for a two year renewalWhen I contacted customer service on October 3, 2017, I was notified that their policy for refunds was five daysI expressed my frustration and explained what
GoDaddy's "protected registration" policies make it next to impossible to cancel domain registrationsBy the time I had jumped through all of their hoops, the domains had re-registeredI then jumped through yet more hoops to cancel themI was then told that I could not have a refund!
On March 9th I signed up for a year renewal of my email service and website builder/hosting serviceI was quoted a price of $by the agent including taxes, and provided my credit card after agreeing to the priceI was sent a receipt of $to my email addressShortly after I called my credit card company to discover I had been charged for the transaction, $more than agreed
I called GoDaddy support back in their billing department speaking with both *** and *** (supervisor), who both told me they misquoted me the US dollar price, the agent who handled my call did not check where I was calling from and as such had no idea that my currency selection should have been Canadian dollars, nor that my price quotation should have been in Canadian dollars, and charged me in US dollars, my bank adjusted the price for currency conversionMoreover, they weren't going to give me the price I was quoted, even though it was their error and only offered me the option of
When I call into godaddy, the automated service asks for my phone number and it states that it is connected to more than one account That is strange because I only have one account I believe that there might be fraud going on with someone else listing my phone number as their phone number for some unknown reason On 1/12/2018, the customer service rep then says that the only way he can access the account is if I verify it right after I told him I had only one account I asked to speak with a manager He responded that they would tell me the same thing and that they were all too busy He said he had no way to do anything which is unacceptable especially if there is some sort of fraud going on
I have a sub-domain with godday and many other service, each time I speak with a rep, I was told to purchase a wild-card SSL (was never interested)After many and numerous email and call I decided to buy the SSL and the agent walk me through the process of setting it up and getting started, after about days I call back and spoke with anther rep, who told me that the setup was incomplete and have to do it again, by then I was out of the office and said I will call back when with my laptopI called the following day and spoke with Tom who is the worst ever rep I have ever talk to, no technical ability and rude, no empathy or sympathy, he have no ideal what am talking about and bluntly to me on the phone 'I CANT HELP YOU' and was eager to process my refundDue to lack to good service I decided to speak with a supervisor who in return also have no technical knowledge and does not care, she decided to process my refundI never wanted
Company says that I have an account (that I have no knowledge of) which is being billed to my credit cardThey refuse to access the account to cancel or block that accountThey also refuse to stop performing an automated draft on my credit cardTheir reasoning is that I can't provide the acctPIN # nor can I receive any information by email because the account that the account was opened under no longer exists (shut down because it was hacked) either way they won't take any action
If this account is associated with my original account, that information is no longer available because I cancelled the account and after several years of not needing the information, it was shredded
Even though the company (obviously) still has, and the account is still associated with my credit card account, they say that they cannot and will not take any action
On October 6th I purchased services from your company for one yearOver the next couple of months, I tried using your services to see if I could get my website up and runningThis didn't work and so I had to purchase a theme from an external company and had someone else develop a website for meHere is the problem, in order to ad content to the website I would have to have knowledge of coding which I don'tI tried contacting your company again, asking them if there was any way they could meet me half way by either helping me to get a website up and running or give me credit for the remainder for the year since I am not able to get any where with what is being offered nowInstead, I was just met with condescending remarks from Jason Tomash and told that he was the be all end all in the entire company as it relates to my complaint and that it was the policy companywide to not hand out refunds after daysThe only other option that was being offered was that I pay an additional $
I currently have a few databases hosted with GoDaddy.comI pay for it monthly, and on July they deleted all data from one of my databases stating I went over the storage limitThey should have sent me a warning so I would have the chance to correct the issue, as stated on item of the hosting agreementInstead they just deleted important dataI've had this issue before and they send me an email, opened support ticket #and the issue was resolvedthis time, they just deleted all my dataWhen my password didn't work for the database, I called them and they had no idea of what was going on, they asked me to change the password and wait 24hs to have the issue resolved24hs later I called and they started telling me that the database was too bigand they had to delete it
