I would not recommend GoDaddy to anyone! I've worked with them on several occasions because I'm a web developer and have moved many many clients away from themPlease do not get hooked into their services because they will try to suck every last penny out of you with addons that are always included in every other hosting company I've worked with! When you call in, they don't offer to help you, rather try to get you to pay for their development team to do the work for youI feel it's time for me to write my review after having so many bad experiences with them

I was charged monthly a fee of $for an email service I never signed up for, never wanted, never used and never once logged into over the course of years I called GoDaddy asking them to refund me for these charges that were wrongly charged to my account, and no refund was givenThe total amount charged to my debit card was $ I called numerous times asking for a refund, and was never given oneI was connected to a manager who illegally threatened me, stating that he would charge my debit card on file for $if I ever called GoDaddy again I have complained and called GoDaddy asking for an apology and a refund for this horrible treatment, but never got a call back or a response of any kind to resolve this issue

I own a web-site ( [redacted] ) that is hosted by GoDaddyI have been trying to cancel this website since 4/10/as it was scheduled for automatic renewal in May I have been the only person on this account since when my business partner and I separated At that time, we spoke with go daddy and changed all of the information to show me as the owner, use my address only, and charge all fees to my credit cardAfter a number of phone calls to cancel the account, I was told that my former partner is still shown as the registrant and I don't have the authority to cancel the accountAs requested I submitted several emails to the "protected reg" department after being assured this would fix the problem, I received an email saying I could not cancel the accountOne person in Tech Support suggested I use an invalid debit card and that would prevent them from charging my account I went to the bank and told them what was happening and they suggested I cx my credit cardI did so

The company refuses to refund a charge for a product I do not use $30.34 that they drafted from my checking account.

GoDaddy cut off my email I called to find out what the problem was and GoDaddy said my domain name had expiredThey would reinstate my domain name if they were paid a large penaltyWhen I asked why I hadn't received a bill or notification they claimed that they had sent several to two email addressesNeither address received the emails GoDaddy claimed to have sentI inquired if this was a business practice GoDaddy used to generate income, they said "no" and they would lower my "penalty payment"I'm not sure who regulates GoDaddy but if this is an ongoing practice , GoDaddy should be punishedI had this domain name for over years and was told if I didn't pay the penalty this name would be auctioned off at a possibly much higher price than the "penalty fee"In order to keep my domain name I paid GoDaddy's "penalty fee" with a terrible taste in my mouthIf you want a domain name you can keep without paying "penalties" don't use GoDaddy

I previously had a issue where I was auto charged for services by Go Daddy without my permission so after that I asked that Auto domain renewal and other services not be set to on. Now somehow Auto-Renewal was activated and without my permission my debit card charged for not 1 year as I would chosen but for a 2 years term. I Was told that all accounts are automatically set to auto renewal for 2 years and once charged there is nothing I can do. They cannot refund registrations. I was also told that if I disputed the unauthorized extra year registration that my domain would be canceled and would be charged a fee to get it back.

After being autorenewed for a service that I no longer use, I called multiple days and held an exorbitant amount of time requesting a refundThe people who I dealt with were decidedly unhelpful and wasted my timeI'd like this service cancelled once and for all and I want a refund of the products that I do not use

I currently have charges on my credit card totaling $116.61 for renewal of services I no longer have/no longer have access to and no longer need. After calls to Go Daddy customer service did not resolve this issue, I sent a certified letter on July 2, 2018 to Go Daddy and, according to the tracking data, the letter has been received. Please note the following: Charges were billed to my credit card by Go Daddy on March 21 ($65.42) and March 22 ($51.19). I was unaware that the account of TurnerNotaryServices.com was on an automatic renewal, as I no longer operate under this business name and do not/did not need the services/products at the time of the renewal charges. After challenging the charges with my credit card company, the charges were removed; but after my credit card company received information from Go Daddy, the charges were rebillled on May 9 and May 10. The web address and associated services for TurnerNotaryServices.com are not active and I do not have access to them

I asked to rename domain names and I said both domain names
The person or software running the chat session asked like that would happen as I asked
What actually happened was I was charged $ and other domain names, that were not due to be renamed until this coming April, were renewed
When I saw this had happened, I charged my phone and called Godaddy at (*** *** to talk to a person about this
I could not get the money refunded
And when I tried to renew the domain names I need to renew, my bank card was declined

I signed up for the free service for a short time, and when it became a fee every month , taken out of my bank account I canceled Then three months later they are still taking ii out without my permissions I just notice it in my bank account I never used the accountIt wasn't active at all but yet In being charged every month I want my money back

Upon purchasing multiple domains and services through Godaddy.com , customer #***, I started to create my sites and few days after I had set up my siteI received an email stating my account had been locked and all purchases had been closed/refunded due to fraudThis company took it upon them selves to close my account and take away domains that I purchased without even contacting me prior to doing soI am very upset and this is not ok for this company to do this to any customerI am highly upset about this and feel like this company taking advantage of customers and causing undue burdens on peopleThis is not ok!
