June 18, 2018, GoDaddy billed (private registration renewal & domain renewal) of domains I have paid for since 2011, SIX MONTHS EARLY WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR PERMISSION GoDaddy then on their own set the renewal term for five years, charged my credit card over $1,and sent me a renewal receipt after the fact I was told that either I pay up or I could cancel the domains I have paid for since so they can be resold and GoDaddy can profitTheir unauthorized action of charging my charge card prevented my client and myself from determining the renewal me from selection the time of the renewal which is offered from one to ten yearsI canceled my domains, one I may have to get back, and my client is very upset (was screaming) that GoDaddy took away his option to renew for less than five years I have called GoDaddy back time and time again and was told that it was ICANN's policy that once purchased time cannot be reduced or refunds givenThis is a lieI called
I purchased a domain a while back The business use is no longer valid as the business never got under way I was charged a TEN year renewal service for a domain name that I have absolutely no use for I asked for a refund and was quoted some small print pilferage justifier I the asked for a reduction to a year renewal and was again referred to the small print I was not afforded a copy of the small print and was directed to their website to look for it on my own This is highway robber y at its most classic
domain = gocleland.com
I recently purchased a domain from godaddy.com, at which time I was prompted to pay them to "protect" my personal information When I did not pay extra for them to "protect my personal information they presumably sold all of my personal information to every scammer in the world I see they have a 96% rate of dissatisfaction here with the Revdex.com yet the Revdex.com has them rated at A+ I think both the godaddy.com and the Revdex.com have some explaining to do
Since renewal of website our business website has been down or listed as unsecure due to SSL isseusGoDaddy was contacted and the SSL issues and site availability was supposed to be fixed within "minutes"Over a week later and the site is still down with SSL issuesEvery day the site is down is lost revenue and GoDaddy does not seem to careWhen customer service was contacted I was routed in a loop for over minutes then had to wait on hold for over minutesIt took several hours to get "it will be fixed within minutes"Issues are still not resolved
I'm so tiered of wasting time with GoDaddy that I don't even want to put this complaint together, but feel it is necessary to warn others to do their do diligence before doing business with said companyI've been with GoDaddy now since 2006, which is when I first purchased my original domainYear after year they continue to increase their rates just to keep me as a loyal customerI'm in the process of moving sits and domains to an alternate providerI'm disgusted with their bait and switch type business tactics They don't even care enough about their loyal customers to spend a few minutes and give a tailored response to complaints or issuesInstead they copy and paste canned responses like the one below
We thank you for sharing your candid feedbackWe are currently reviewing your concerns with our Customer Care managers, and will be addressing any training opportunities that may existIf you have further concerns we can be reached at [email protected]
Paid for the domain "buy-service" and was told that $max offer was good weeks later, it was suggested to raise the bid a few hundred dollars to better my chances Never received any emails or phone calls over the day period My phone and email log show the numerous attempts at reaching the unstaffed "buy-service" department Only once did I receive a call and that was after repeatedly telling the main office that nobody works in the buy service dept
Lastly, I just spoke with the owner of the domain I have been supposedly bidding on, and he even said that he didn't receive anything close to what I told him and that I just got scammed This is not good business practice by any means and my payment should be refunded
I was a customer with godaddy for several yearsI purchased all of my domains through the website and hosted all of my websites on their serversI was in the hospital for a few months due to a health issuesDuring that time, I was also a victim of identity fraudSomeone got a hold of my debit cardsMy cards were cancelled but the autopay was not updated for several of my service providers including GodaddyWhen I was finally released from hospital, I was shocked when my websites were no longer liveI called Godaddy and they said my websites were deletedI asked to speak with a manager and they transferred me to Andrew G***He told me my websites could be recovered but I would be charged a $recovery feeI explained my situation but he was extremely nasty and condescending through the entire conversationRepeatedly saying it was fault and how didn't I have a backupHe was like why should I waive the recovery fee for youI told him I was a customer with godaddy at this point for at least years and spent 100's a dollars with them for hosting and etcI think asked could I speak with someone else, he told me that Joe Louison told him that he wasz more than qualified to handle a customer complaint and would not speak with himAndrew concluded the conversation by saying pay or I would lose my websitesOver the past few months I tried to speak with other people at godaddy but your customer service is completely nonexistentI dont understand how a company could treat a customer so bad especially when they have been a faithful customer for yearsI no longer will do any business with godaddyBeware when using this company!!!
We have out web sites hosted with godaddy and annually obtain web site hosting and security certificatesLast week (may 2017), a representative from go daddy contacted me to inform me that godaddy actually shares server space and despite the fact that multiple websites - if not hundreds of thousands - were on each server, that godaddy will now not guarantee these servers are secure and is demanding payment from each hosted site for additional securityIf these fees are not paid I was told there is zero security and anyone can hack their server and change the information or destroy my web siteThe representative told me if I did not agree to pay for a security fee on top of my security certificates that my site could now be hackedI asked several questions - one was why if all the sites on a single server are using the same software to monitor traffic in, they why was each customer on the same server being demanded to pay money when the software obviously will blanket cover all clie
I find charge for $from GoDaddy on my *** *** *** statement from on July 20th I call Godaddy on July 20th to inquire about the charge The agent at godaddy is unable to find the transaction in it's records and recommends that I charge back the transaction with American Express I file a dispute with American Express on July
I receive a letter in the mail from American Express on August 24th with information identifying the transaction and related information The letter contains all of the information I would have needed to cancel the service from GoDaddy and receive a credit
When I call Go Daddy today, I am told that since it's been more than days, they will no longer refund my charge There was no possible way for me to cancel within days The fact that I filed the dispute regarding the unidentifiable transaction with GoDaddy with American Express within days of the transaction date made no difference
That's crazy It is an unfair b
I hosted *** with Godaddy.comWhen my hosting/domain name were up for expiration, I was contact and told that I needed to renewWithin days, I responded- however the customer service agent said that because the expiration was overdue, they would not allow me access to my content: historic family pictures and writings that I had put on my hosting accountWhen I asked that I be given temporary permission to my content to back it up, he refused and said that I had to pay a $"recovery" feeWhen I asked to talk to a supervisor, he refusedI explained that I was disappointed in the service and their lack of accommodation for my needs and that I had done business with the company for yearsI requested that they make an exception for me so that I could access my data, as I was not aware of their policy to hold the data hostageHe told me he would not do anything for me except pass my disappointment alongI made a copy of the chat with the agent
For years in a row GoDaddy has allowed my domain *** (and several others) to expireMy cr is ***I have owned this domain for 8+ years and have everything from my business tied to the email associated with the domainThey then ask for a redemption fee (last year they wanted $400)
This year was much worseFirstly they only send emails to tell you to renewNo phone calls, and no letter in the mail
Secondly they allowed the services to continue as if nothing was wrong after the domain expiredI had no clue that the domain expired because they allowed me to use it for almost days after it expired! If they would have shut it down at the expiration date I would have known something was wrongAfter days of expiration it goes into redemptionThen was sold days later to a domain squatter who is now trying to extort money from me
I have contacted GoDaddy and even though they can see that the domain is breaking the regulations of
$249.99/yr
On sale - Save 16%
$299.99/yr when you renew
