Why would GoDaddy partner with Stripe, when Stripe has such a poor track record (see online reviews, see Revdex.com reviews)? Why would GoDaddy partner with Stripe, when stripe does not offer similar customer service standards (no contact number, no way to communicate complaints)? Why would GoDaddy partner with Stripe, when Stripe charges a chargeback fee on a transaction that is disputed (we did not have access to the information that Stripe had when Stripe gave the Green Light to proceed with the transaction)? Why would GoDaddy partner with Stripe, when GoDaddy does not seem to have the same "it's your fault for the chargeback", mentality that Stripe has?
I received an email from GoDaddy [email protected], on Saturday, March 18, at 5:a.mwith an Order Confirmation for Order Number ***, cr ***, for a ".COM Bulk Domain Registration" for "Domains" for "Year" in the amount of "1, I did NOT make this purchase!! I called GoDaddy at the number on the email and spoke to "Jessica" who repeatedly asked for the last digits of my credit card number or the PIN number associated with this account I have no PIN number, since I did not make this purchase, and therefore did not set up a PIN number for a GoDaddy account In addition, I am NOT giving anyone my credit card information, even if it is only the last digits of the card number!!! I did not make this purchase! I asked for a manager, and I was transferred to "Janelle", who fed me the same story They both said that "for the security of their customers" they only see a verification box that they are required to enter the credit card
My website hosting does not work...any files larger than about 1M cannot be accessedGoDaddy is able to reproduce this problem on their end
I asked for a ticket to be opened to debug it and they claim the problem is with my ISP
However...I have the problem (AT&T ISP), my phone has the problem (T-Mobile ISP) and of my friends have the problem (Spectrum and Verizon ISPs)
Additionally, *GoDaddy* can reproduce the problem on their end
So now 2mo into a 10yr hosting plan my website is unusable
I would ideally like the problem to be fixed, but if that is not possible then a prorated refund
I previously had a issue where I was auto charged for services by Go Daddy without my permission so after that I asked that Auto domain renewal and other services not be set to onNow somehow Auto-Renewal was activated and without my permission my debit card charged for not year as I would chosen but for a years termI Was told that all accounts are automatically set to auto renewal for years and once charged there is nothing I can doThey cannot refund registrationsI was also told that if I disputed the unauthorized extra year registration that my domain would be canceled and would be charged a fee to get it back
I had a recurring billing set up with GoDaddy for many yearsThey were charging an email product at $for yearsThis was the price when they auto renewed in And suddenly in they had changed that fee from $to $
I had not logged into my account until recently and found that I have been such an exobirant amountI asked Godaddy to stop subscription and refund me years backBut plainly refuse to pay my money even though I am asking the subscription to be stopped and is only asking for the unused amount backI know I am very late in asking for the refund but it is still my money and there is more years to go on the subscription and request your intervention and help
I CONTACTED GODADDY.COM REGARDING MY ALTERNATE WEBSITE ***, BECAUSE OF AN EMAIL ISSUE, MY PRIMARY ACCOUNT WITH GODADDY.COM IS *** AND WE ARE USING BOTH TO FACILITATE TRAFFICI FORGOT MY LOGIN INFORMATION FOR THE ACCOUNT, MY CREDIT CARD ON FILE WAS CHANGED DUE TO UNAUTHORIZED USE, I DON’T REMEMBER THE PIN NUMBER FOR THE ACCOUNT, ALL OF MY ADDRESS INFORMATION HAS CHANGED SINCE OPENING THE ACCOUNT, AND I CAN NOT PROVIDE THEM WITH A GOVERNMENT ID WITH THE OLD ADDRESSTHEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNT WHICH I HAVE PROVIDED ALL REQUESTED DOCUMENTS FOR WITH OUR CURRENT ADDRESSWHICH IS NOT WHAT THEY HAVE LISTEDI JUST WANT TO GET TO THE ACCOUNT SO THAT I CAN USE MY COMPANIES EMAIL AGAINTHEY ARE COSTING ME TIME AND MONEY!!!!
I signed up for a monthly serviceImmediately after agreeing to the service I was told the service didn't meet my needs to asked to cancel the service and be refunded for the one month that I had paid forNeither was done and I was refused a refund when I learned it hadn't been done three months later
I own several domains with GoDaddy as my registrarI no longer have access to a GoDaddy account, but still own the domainsThe domains have my full name, address, telephone #, etc in the whois registryI asked Godaddy to assist me with moving the domains to a new registrar and they have refusedThey claim that I have to provide a copy of a business license or pin# to a paid account to get them to release my domainsThe domains are not registered to a businessWhen I registered the domains, I entered an unincorporated social club name in the "organization" name blockThis is NOT a business
Godady is using these arbitrary rules to avoid releasing my domains for moving
GoDaddy automatically renewed email services for a year term (~$400), but their policy changed and no longer allows refunds on partial usage(I was never informed of the policy change, and the automatic purchase never informed me that this was an non-refundable charge) The email service that renewed became unreliable and I was unable to access my email after months of usageBecause email services are critical to my work, I was forced to sign up for an alternative service and migrate my emailWhen I spoke with them on the phone they refused to issue any kind of refund, despite the service not working
So I paid for an unreliable service that I cannot use and they refuse to issue a refundI never signed any contract or gave permission for GoDaddy to make a non-refundable purchase on my behalfAll services that I purchased from GoDaddy explicitly stated that they were completely refundable for any unused portionAt no point was I notified of the change in the policy
I have had domain names registered with GoDaddy over the past years or soAt first, I was impressed with their service and pricing plansThey were helpful in setting up and transferring domains to my site hostsIn recent years, they have gotten worse to the point that I am trying to move all of my domain names from them
I had a domain expire over a year ago which I received no notification from GoDaddy (in the past, they notified me), and it was immediately purchased or blocked upon expirationI did some research and found out that it was actually purchased by a GoDaddy affiliate, and they wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to purchase it backNo thanks
This week I purchased a new domainThe day after doing so, I received about spam calls, about half of them robotic and about half from Indian people who were extremely unprofessionalThis never happened in the past when I purchased domains from GoDaddy
I don't know what has happened to this business to turn their business strategy to junk, but I'm finished with GoDaddy
The website that I purchased through GoDaddy constantly has problems Design elements do not work, and they change without me doing anything This results in my website not being professional looking across platforms (e.g., Internet Explorer, Chrome, and cell phones) GoDaddy tells me that when this happens, they have no interim solution, i.e., I just have to wait for them to try to fix things while my website continues to be held out to the public in an unreadable and unprofessional way I have also had to spend hours on the phone dealing with these issues I get inconsistent feedback from different representatives, and even escalating to a manager doesn't get me anywhere In the end, they simply force my business to suffer by being held out to the public in an unprofessional way Their website builder product is junk, and the sale of junk products is consumer fraud in Arizona where I live
Last month I paid someone to transfer my website from GoDaddy to another hosting companyI received emails from GoDaddy saying they were sorry to see me go so I know it happenedI can see the site on my new hosting company accountToday I see on my bank account that GoDaddy charged me for another months of hosting on a website that isn't even parked there anymoreI called and the agent said that it had been days since they billed me and they cannot give a refund!
When we go to do updates on our site, numerous times its down for maintnence along with our site in generalVery inconvienientI never seen or experienced this much issues with any other host provider
Ive done business with GoDaddy a long time and I have to express my extreme disappointment with their billing practice when it comes to their hosting services
I originally ordered and paid for hosting services in early February called within a few days to cancel the product and requested a refundI had to go someone else because of one of the settings of the server didnt allow for what I was trying to accomplish at the time
When I asked for the refund they denied it because it was outside of a hour windowI was really upset, I didnt want to pay for a service I didnt want to useI asked them to cancel and after a few not so kind words about greed etcI got of the chat
To my SHOCK I was billed again days ago for the same service that I havent even touched since I got itSInce I didnt notice this charge for days they are refusing to refund my money because its one day outside of their hour windowso I feel that theyve STOLEN from me which is just sc
Upon signing up for GoDaddy web hosting services, I attempted to create a serverThe process failed and I received an email saying my account had been suspended due to a violation of the terms of serviceThe exact nature of the violation wasn’t specifiedI contacted support four times, all to no availEvery representative I spoke to (Danielle, Mike, Joe, and Ed) told me to contact *** but that is an address reserved for internal communication only I was told that they would contact *** for me, but nothing has ever been doneThey have never attempted any further communication despite the promise of an explanation and resolution, yet they continue to bill me for a product I can't possibly use because they won't let me use it
The front-line staff, though very kind, are not trained to deal with my issue and (it appears) the place doesn't have supervisorsOn my final call, I was told it might be because of credit card fraud, but I wasn't a
Godaddy has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with, they kept me on the phone for literally hours yesterday and today another hour and halfI signed up with godaddy yesterday and the program they put me was junk, Then this agent said you need another program and she moved me She never mentioned a price differenceWell, I work on the site for hours and I notice the mobile site looks all wonkySo, I call to see how I fix itGuess what you can'tSo, the agent says he needs to move me to a different program and I have to start all overWell he changes and me he changed me back to exact same program I was initially onSo, I call back again and guess what he moves me back to the program I was building onHe said just turn off the mobile function and the site will show up perfectlyWhen I spoke with him I confirmed I was on plan which is a yearWell, today when I went to link my facebook to the page it linked my personal account rather than my busines
This company strings you along until you are outside of your cancel window to keep you moneyThey are only good for the user that does not know anything about web hosting, VPS hosting, etcTerrible company and I do not recommend unless you cannot afford anything else.Evidentally we were day past the days and they refused to refund us the months we are not using the servicesHorrible customer service
I have purchased a bunch of domains on GoDaddy through the yearsI was unaware that I was getting charged because of an auto-renewal on multiple domains that I never touched for years since purchasing themI requested for them to be canceled and refunded since I never authorized these renewals and they can clearly see on their backend that I never touched or looked at them after purchased years agoThere domains that I have been re-charged for without my knowledge
This is the second time this year their system failed and my email wasn't working properly Beyond my control and technical difficulties that cost me a jobYep a job that pays my bills because I wasn't getting my emails on time or at allI will be pulling my account and domain tomorrowI honesty won't bother to say anything because the company is so big,, and my account was so small, that it dosent really matter to themI will get the run around like beforeFirst time it happened was after I renewed my domain, but my website was still taken down, and my email was never put back on either, even after I called inIt cost me a lot then tooInexcusable when we rely so much on email to be accurate and consistent
I am a partner of a publishing venture Windmill Books LtdThe website https://guideshub.company/company/windmill-books-is posting information suggesting I am a retail bookstoreAs a result, my cell phone is bombarded with spam and robocallsI have notified GoDaddy but they have failed to respond I would like to have this web page taken downI cannot contact the website owner because the email link is a dead linkIt doesn't workI appealed to GoDaddy who hosts this website but my complaint has gone unanswered I would like to avoid the next step, filing a complaint in the United States District Court
