I had a website hosting with the hosting being provided by GoDaddy.comIt was set to expire on October 29, We were going on vacation the week leading up to that renewal dateSo, I had renewed my web hosting with them for the upcoming year, October 30, through October 29, prior to going on vacationBeing nice to them, because I knew they wouldn't have kept the site online if I hadn't paid them until after we returned
On November 23rd I contacted GoDaddy.com about how to close out my web hosting and siteWith the plans of closing it out that day, November 23rdThey instructed me to make sure that all businesses that I use the email address I have with this web hosted website are updated with any new email address I will be usingBut said nothing to me that I had to ensure I closed out my web hosting account before November 29, to ensure I receive a refund for my unused months of web hosting already paid for in October
After ensuring all my email contact
I registered a domain with GoDaddy on 12/1/and since then, the domain has been stuck pending updateI am unable to use the domain even though I paid for it
I have contacted GoDaddy every day since the registration to try and resolve this issue, but the support reps have been unable to help, simply giving me new ticket numbers each timeThey refuse to release the domain and let me take it elsewhereThey also refuse to push the change throughI am stuck with no where else to turn since the company is unwilling to help me or work with me in any way
These changes have been escalated every time I called in to the "advanced support team." The advanced support team is this mythical group that I cannot contact and has not responded to any of the ticketsI have the follow tickets opened with the advanced support team:

The company is offering free Mini Storage and Calendar to its customers and then it automatically charges for it again the next year -- it provides no notice of the product or the yearly cost at the time you order (if you order another product over the phone) and then it provides no notice of renewal the following year and the company does not send any billing statement (as it does with other products I was charged $ The customer service representative I spoke with told me it is "a product that I do not need" The company also give you the impression that it is vigilantly notifying you about every product renewal or expiration (reassuring consumers about their account status), only to omit to notify us on certain products that we will not detect because we have never ordered them the first place -- all so that you get charged unknowingly It is extremely dishonestIt's fraudulent
