Earlier this year, we began the process of switching our website from GoDaddy, it's then web hosting platformOn December, 2017, our web hosting was renewed by GoDaddy for years (months) for a total of $or $7.99/mo
When we decided to switch from GoDaddy to another web hosting platform, the first thing I did was reach out to GoDaddy and ensure we would be able to receive the prorated refund of the unused months of the that we purchased month priorI was told "Yes, you will receive a refund for any unused months"This conversation was done over GoDaddy's Chat Interface and GoDaddy has record, and has acknowledged the existence and accuracy, of this chatAfter this chat, I switched over to a new web hosting companyThis was completed on 1/22/

They continue to play games with canceling service with them They couldn’t cancel service with the first call I followed the slideshow they sent me and it still won’t work I called them back and they said I have to do it again and wait another hours This is absolutely ridiculous These guys will not stop the auto renewal and continue to make me wait and jump through hoops I will never do business with them or recommend them for anyone to do business with I am going to put a stop payment against them I have never had this much trouble stopping service with a company before This should be illegal I tell a company no stop service and they refuse I also spoke with a manager that told me I must hav made a mistake Had a huge wait on the phone and they say call them back Sunday I also informed them that my weekend time as a photographer is worth $an hour and I can’t afford to spend another hour on the phone with them They pretty much told me I have to if I w
Go Daddy removed $from my checking account on May 11, 2017, for what, I am not sure I called yesterday, June 11, 2017, as soon as I saw it I have kidney disease, am disabled and have been in the hospital for most of May The jerk on the phone wanted to argue tit for tat, saying they took it out on the 10th and that it had already been days, NO REFUND!!! I told him no, it was removed from my account on the 11th Regardless of the date, I never authorized any amount be removed from my account I'm disabled, been very sick and that was my grocery money for the month I need them to refund my money It's no longer about "the customer is right" or "making sure the customer is happy" It's truly sad what is happening to customer service at Go Daddy Revdex.com can you help this old, disabled lady that's on a very tight budget?
I would give zero stars, if possible I was charged $for a 5-year renewal of my website platform I called to see what options I had because I was not currently using the website; but I wanted to keep it for future use Their customer service agent suggested a cheaper platform ($for years), but said I had to move all my information over The agent suggested I go month-to-month on the old platform until I got my data moved over; but he also advised not to use their auto renew function because it would auto renew for years, not month-to-month (This little glitch in their system will subsequently cost me dearly.) He set up an appointment for several days later to help me move my website over to their new platform He never called I had no way to contact him directly So, I paid someone else to help me and he could never find my website on the old platform to move it over
I now need the website and called in to get assistance moving my data over I was told the account was canceled after month and the website was deleted GONE I forgot that I was advised not to put it on auto-renewal and assumed it was on auto-renewal Okay, I accept responsibility for all that, even though the agent is also at fault for not calling me on the scheduled appointment I asked for a refund of the $because I no longer needed the platform They said no refunds after days and it was beyond days I asked for contact info for someone I could escalate my complaint to and they said no $is a rounding error on any given day for a company the size of GoDaddy and this is the way they treat a loyal customer who's paid them thousands of dollars over the years? I'm now out $that I paid the initial website designer, $I paid for a platform that I have no use for now, and the dozens of hours I spent building my website AND, now I have to decide if I'm going to pay someone another $to rebuild my website I will never give them my business again Buyer beware!
I have been doing business with GO daddy for years and here lately I have had to call them at least times within the past two months
My concern is that I am now having them host my website and as a result it appears every time I call, I am being told that I need an additional product or service
To me it appears I am being Mis led and being bullied to pay money for products and services I don't need
Case and Point, I called them on Monday March 7th to request the free business website builder which is a product that states on my account is freeI was told immediately when I called that it was not free and the gentleman informed me that I would have to pay a fee of $although I had just paid $the week before for an additional space product that I did not need

Moving from different hosting to GoDaddy was the biggest IT mistake we have done
Constant problems with office email hosting and constant inability to fix the issue with their useless teck support unless we upgrade from standard cPanel packageAgain, not like their standard package doesn't offer some service or extras we need but it is simply doesn't workReady to pay for every email use? You should be because it is a special offer! Usually it is 79.95! Never had this issue before with other hostingPlease stay away from this company and their business practices
One of godaddy.com domains, actually two of their sites are predatory but they will do nothing and actually laughed at us when we tried to explain the fraudulent sites and how they ripped us offA customer representative named jeff said you would laugh at us tooWe understand that is not what you doWe have order numbers and receipts but they wound not listen and basically told too bad, that they represented them, but not reallyWe just want them to send us what we paid forNothing more, nothing less, or at least to pull these fraudulent sites so they won't rip off any one else.Thank you for your time
I manage two websites with GoDaddy and I just recently paid over $for the next year of webhosting and they have suspended my websites without notice stating that because I use an old web builder program that it is unsafe due to the harmless files this program creates, they will not un-suspend my websites unless I purchase security for the website, I have been using this program for many years and these files they claim are bad have been on their server for over years and now they claim it is an issue with no advance warning, if I knew a head of time I would have had time to cancel my products and change to a different company but now they are holding my websites ransom until I purchase additional products, and these website are for a City and that cities police department
I have been in the IT industry for years and scan my website data regularly with multiple corporate antivirus program and there has never been an issue, I offered to remove the files they CLAIIM are bad

I was billed $on June 30th, for some automatic year renewal for two websites I originally set up in I called today, July 6th to cancel the renewal, and was told that I was outside the cancelation time by ONE day You are only able to cancel within hours I was charged for a five year renewal for domain names, that I have had for ten years In the last ten years, I have been billed a total of $478.62, which is still less than half of what I have spent for this current billing of $541.40, which was for five years vs an entire ten years I called back a second time and spoke to a different customer service representative who stated that I can cancel the protected registration part, and receive a refund for that portion of the bill, if I first enable and complete the two step authentication process and then call and cancel it after hours This all seems entirely suspicious and dubious for a company as large as godaddy.com I never authorized godaddy to charge
