Godaddy stole my domain
I got an email stating my domain 33fit.com was renewed for years and charged
So I called Go-daddy and informed them I did not make this transaction
They said the only way to refund was to cancel the domain, which I did not want to do, I only had the domain for months
I don't know how to resolve this dispute
I wish to keep ownership of my domain
Any help you could provide with this matter would be appreciated
Godaddy stole my domain
Godaddy sent me an email to renew my URLat $per year(***) (Renew Now button) I pushed the button and the price went to $(Bait and Switch) I called Godaddy and they said I must renew for years and pay a privacy fee of $ In September I found that Godaddy had leaked my private email, phone and address to the internet I checked their privacy statement and there is no mention of a fee I called them times and send an email and a letter and have not received a responseThe privacy fees are new and do not protect my privacy Godaddy did call last week for me to buy more products
Go Daddy is hosting a website called '***" After looking up this business up on WhoIs ***, absolutely no infois provided in order to file a complaint with the appropriate Revdex.com regarding 'usa people search' This goes beyond any privacy service I have ever seen on WhoIs IC I have always seen at least a city, state, mailing address, masked e-mails for admin., tech and contact...something indicating where to go with the Revdex.com or State Attorney General complaint This is how both Go Daddy's infoappears on WhoIs *** appears (this format) and also the website about which I most specifically want to complain - 'usa ps.'(copy & paste from WhoIs follows...)

I am a customer with GoDaddy for over years and currently own domains with them I am a collector of domains
GoDaddy has started added Microsoft Subscriptions to my domain purchases recently that automatically opts me into future billing I have informed them repeatedly that I do not want It is very annoying and costly and I am tired of arguing with them about it Today I called because I purchased my domains and unlike other options that are automatically set to no by default, this *** *** is automatically added to all purchases

We have been a client of Media Temple for roughly yearsIn January they moved our website to a new server and did not give us timely noticeWhen they moved our website they lost critical files and data causing our website to go downThey also lost all of the security setting, rules and configuration files exposing our information to hackers, they have been unable to and unwilling to fix the problem they causedIn a attempt to restore the site and data to a date and time the site was not affected by the move we requested the back up copy we have been paying Media Temple for every month be used to restore the siteDuring this process we discovered that Media Temple has been charging us for this service for many years but not providing this service Their actions have cause great harm In a nutshell they charged us for back up services and did not provide the serviceThey have been charging us for hosting our website since they moved it to a different server but they have
Godaddy is persistently sending SPAM, unsolicited, unwanted, junk, sometimes offensive e-mails All originate at Godaddy.com URLs and have responses at "sable.godaddy.com" The sending URLs are in the form of "*** and vary slightly each time But all originate not on a hosted registered domain, but on GoDaddy's direct domains - i.ecoming from GoDaddy All are addressed to a domain that I am the administrator for, all are addressed to a mail address that was scraped from a web site this has been going on for over six months, often several SPAMs per week sometimes per day
Complaints about each offending e-mail are sent to "[email protected]" with full headers; GoDaddy's online complaint form rejects any complaints that have a godaddy.com URL Calls to their support line has not met with success in getting the offensive e-mails stopped
Proper protocol is NOT to click on a SPAMs link for removal, but to complain to the ISP...in this case GoDaddy is both
Immediately after I opened my webpage my page was hacked and people would see pornography when they went to my webpage (my webpage was selling a children's book)I Purchased whatever was recommended to me at the time of purchaseAfter I found out about the *** I called back and additional services were recommended for me to purchasedI didThe *** came back and additional services were recommended for me to purchasedAgain, I did that and ultimately my site had to deleted and started overI was left with an empty webpageI am a nurse, I know how to save lives, not build web pagesI called for help building the webpage and was told again THERE IS A FEE FOR THATAfter all of the fees, frustration and time, you would think they would just tell me how to build the webpageNot even build it for me (that would be nice), just tell me howThey sent me a link that was more complicated than tending to patients post heart transplantsI don't know how much money I spent all toge
GoDaddy extorting money from us (IMHO)
My wife and I own a small consulting business (SJSConsulting.com) We have had that website for years GoDaddy was hosting the site We have paid every year, for their fees for hosting the site, domain name, and email service We received emails and other marketing materials from GoDaddy We received two emails for invoices and paid those for email service and web hosting service Somehow, amongst all the other emails from GoDaddy, we missed the ones for the Website domain The amount was small, maybe $ Today, we find out that GoDaddy released the domain name, even though we have paid for the other two services
When GoDaddy releases the domain name, companies, who GoDaddy will not disclose, buy the domain name Those companies work with GoDaddy to extort monies from of the original domain holder so that we may “buy” the name back for $ Now we have to pay GoDaddy $to get the name back from the domain name “opportunist
GoDaddy.com didn't just autorenew my account but added on some bogus services that I never usedIt's impossible to get help via chat so you need to find time to call and wait on holdThey added services to my account that I previously turned off and had the nerve to charge for themThis is really a SCAM! They should not be allowed to do this and should not be trusted with payment infoI canceled my account and services immediately and need to work with my credit card company to get a refund
I was charged $for a service I never used or signed up forWhen I called Godaddy to have the charge removed they told me that they had a two day!! cancellation policy on features they offer for trial and because I called two weeks later I would not receive a refundThe customer service was very bad and the manager was rudeI want my refund because I did not sign up for the service and never used itI only called two weeks later because I saw it on my credit card statement
Go daddy was monitoring my phone well I wasn't logged into their account I was reviewing Different options for the name of my handyman service one option was or ended up to be a premium selection I did not want that somehow it ended up in my cart I was doing this on my phone and sometimes buttons get pushed on the tiny little phone that aren't meant to be pushed It was we fix it handyman.com they wanted a $to sign up for it I believe but then it said there was a premium package I thought that maybe that included a website I didn't read the fine print then I logged in to my account about minutes later deciding to look for another I found Arizona handyman connection and I check that and it said years for I believe When I check out somehow they added the other selection to my count as well in charge me $which I did not have in my checking account and I would never bounce a check I didn't authorize that transaction I was only trying to purchase Arizona handyman connec
I noticed today a charge from Go Daddy on my credit card statementAfter some research I figured out it was for a domain name that I haven't used in years that should of been taken off auto renewal at the same time my former woodlandinsperations.net account was deactivatedI call your customer service line for assistance on the matter and they were no helpBasic were sorry can't help you and confirmed it is no longer on auto renewal
I've been with Go Daddy since They have gone downhill Big TimeThey have Very Poor Customer service the past few yearsThey have unethical business practices and sneaky pricing that they do not discloseI bought an SSL that would not appearAfter weeks I called and they said it was another $for them to install itWHY wasn't this disclosed upfront?? I would not recommend them and can hardly wait for my products to expire so I can go elsewhereAnd I'm seeing complaints regarding transferring domain namesI think a Class Action is in need here!
I attempted to purchase a domain through GoDaddy, and added it to my cart to see the priceI did not complete the purchase, but now the domain name is no longer availableGoDaddy has registered it, as of the same date I added it to my cartI do not believe this is a coincidence; I believe it is a case of domain front-runningWhether it is GoDaddy directly registering the domain, or someone else trolling their site and registering the domain,I would like to resolve this issueThis issue seems to be affecting many people, and I have no doubt that GoDaddy, whether directly responsible or not, is aware of the practiceI would like to be able to secure my domain, and for others to not encounter this same problem
I was trying to transfer my domain away from GoDaddy.com When I went to transfer it would not let me unless I updated the ICANN Once I did that, GoDaddy refuses to transfer my domain and sent multiple rejections I have emailed *** without any response My domain is expiring on 2/23/and GoDaddy wants to get more money from my account
