Signing up for a "Free Trial" "No Credit Card Required" and thought I was safeThe Company used my credit card from a PREVIOUS purchase that they retained on file (With or without my consent?) for the next years
I have a domain name registered through godaddy.comyears ago I renewed the account for yearsSomehow I must have checked a box that allowed them to renew my account automatically and was just charged $for another yearsI believe the auto-renewal must be a default option that I didn't notice, because I don't recall authorizing this chargeThis was my debit card, which comes straight out of my bank account and I don't think I would have selected that option knowingly I see that they sent me a notification of the renewal days prior, which I missedHowever, the e-mail stated that it was set to renew and quoted a rate of $14.95/yrIt didn't say anything about renewing for years
I reached out and asked if it was possible to credit the year renewal and instead charge me for just year or yearsThey have indicated that they can't do anything once the renewal has taken placeThey just charged my account yesterday, it's not like a charge from a week ago
I was automatically charged for another year When I saw my credit card statement I saw the bill$ I was contacted several weeks ago by a Godaddy rep and I told them I did not want their service as I haven logged on for over months The service did not work for me and I did not want to continueI called the customer service number and spoke with sacia on 2/3/@11:48am est She said they were not going to refund my$ because it was over days The charge on the statement was on 12/27/
How would I know I was charged within the day period This is deceptive business practice and I am looking for a full refund Thank you
On March 17th, I purchased and paid for a domain from GoDaddy The domain name was *** and it had a fixed price which I paid I agreed to the terms and conditions and paid Godaddy $
After purchasing the domain I spent a significant amount of money having a logo and banner designed for the *** website as well as articles all written specifically for the website and finally had a web designer build a custom made for my new website The cost for all the design work and article content was $
On March 26th the site designer had completed the design and was ready to begin adding in the articles, logo, banners etc so that the site could go live so they requested the GoDaddy information from me
When I logged into GoDaddy on Saturday March 26th I didn't see the domain listed in the domains that I owned and controlled so I called GoDaddy to inquire why it wasn't listed
The GoDaddy representative said that GoDaddy had refun
Worst company everEric the representative doesn't care and will shut you down the minute you get on the phoneCharela doesn't do her job at allThis lady took a backorder for me and never processed the order! Somebody shut this company downGo to domain.com and do business with them they are way better
Was charged over dollars for a product being renewed after a representative from go daddy told me they were removing the product over the phoneMonths later, another rep calls me and I tell them the issue and they tell me I'm responsible for removing things , which is what I thought I did when I spoke with customer serviceSo sick of having constant issues and being overcharged with this company I also paid extra for my website to be updated to a secure website months ago and went online today only to find my page listed as unsecuredWhat a scam
I paid for years worth of services up front in September of The services were for Managed Wordpress hosting I paid for the highest, fastest, most expensive tier they offer Over the course of the next few months I spent many phone calls with GoDaddy trying to figure out why the service was significantly slower than it should be; each page load time was taking 5-second page load times GoDaddy kept saying there's nothing they can do, and that it was my fault the site was loading slowSo after getting nowhere I decided to try a different hosting company
I migrated the site, 100% as-is, no improvements to the site: onto the new hosting company's servers and immediately I was getting a significant increase in speed and performance The page load speeds were only 2-seconds I was super ecstatic
There is no literature in GoDaddy's refund policy regarding a multi-year plan They only talk about monthly plans (which are paid every month) and annual plans, wi
I am a Web-designer and have been maintaining my account with Godaddy for yearsThrough this time I have referred hundreds of customers to Godaddy for domain registrationsGodaddy is now in the market of taking customers away from all Web-designers and setting up websites and selling products like *** certificates etcto themI was just on the phone with a Godaddy support tech and conferenced by her with my customer to ensure easy transfer of a domain in my account to my customers accountOnce the call started, the Godaddy operator asked my account number and security pin, that would have totally violated my security access to all my domains of all my other clientsShe gave me an attitude when I refused to provide it and gave me an email confirmation alternative without apologizingThen once we had the domain transfer completed, she started lying about the current html website status saying she informed my customer that it is not secure and it would not appear in Google searc
I bought Domain Buy Service for the domain *** from Godaddy and received no serviceThe status of the service was changed to "closed" while they took my money
- There is no update on the negotiation status on the contact with seller
- There is no transparent communication trail
- The status of the negotiation got closed immediately even though no service was provided
This is the laziest way of making money ever
I purchases a multi year hosting plan from Godaddy in that is good until I was informed that Godaddy changed their terms and services and was not cancelling my account and would not give me a refundThey offered to roll the money into another product but would not refund for the services I paid forTotal frauds at Godaddy, we spent major time moving our sites to another hosting provide after this issue due to the unethical business practices of Godaddy!

The UX and UI are absolutely terrible Nothing feels streamlined, they charge for stuff you can get for free on other platforms, the support is largely unhelpful I really don't understand how they are still in businessI have never once had a client that used godaddy and everything went smoothlyThey should change or go out of business
My complaint relates to receiving an unknown, unapproved monthly billing charge for $on occasions
On 10/25/I paid $for the web hosting company's "Discount Domain Club Membership" (Order #***) which helped reduce the overall cost of multiple domains when purchased in volume over months This package included some bundled services including "Premium Cash Parking" (month term at $0.00), "GoDaddy Auctions - Membership w/ DomainAlertPro Monitoring" (year term at $0.00), "Auctions Membership" (unspecified term at $0.00), and "Pro Domain Alert" (unspecified term at $0.00) I did not renew this membership months later in
On 1/25/I noticed an $charge for "Premium Cash Parking Renewal" (Order #***) Reviewing my order history, I realized GoDaddy had also charged me for this $service on 12/25/(Order #***) and on 11/25/(Order #***)
On 1/25/I called GoDaddy to dispute these unauthorized charges
I made a purchase of website builder for a period of year under annual plan with the mutual understanding that I can cancel anytime before year and get credited for un-used term of the serviceThis was was reason why I purchased for year vyear or monthsNow Godaddy is claiming that there no such understanding or conversation like that and I am bound by 30-day refund policy onlyTo me that sound absurd, the purchase was for software services and a period of term how can it be that "you bought and it stuck with it"I would like a pro rata refund for the period I am not going to use the product or the service
I called the customer service a couple times from September because of my frustrations of not being able to accept email and can't login to their site until I decided to cancel all the service (office 365, search engine visibility and wesbite builder) except for the domains I thought everything's good until today when I checked my credit card bill and saw that I have charges from go daddy for the services that I cancelled They told me today that they cannot cancel, they can only stop the automatic renewal and that I need to do it in their website but I cant even login to their site I keep requesting to reset my password but doesn't work I spend my whole afternoon trying to get it resolved, talked to guys from the company but no one can help but my finally the last email I got to reset password works so I cancelled
I don't think that it's fair to get charge on something that doesn't work and wasted my time and made me frustrated
They charged me for the yearly amount
GoDaddy charged me for a recurring expense for a domain name But, I do not use it anymore so I called them to cancel and asked for a full refund the $they charged me They REFUSED to refund me as the auto-renewal for their service is "days" for multiple year, but is "days" for one-year renewal (see below from their website)
Why is a refund for an auto-renewal for multiple year vsone-year renewal be different (days vsdays)? This policy is very discriminatory in that it's a difference of days depending on what type of account you have? Their practices are not good business practices and they should be asked to update their policies
I was out of the country and so the days would not have given me enough time to get this resolved as I did not have access to contact Go Daddy during my time out of the country

I called GODaddy to obtain a web page domain September 22, and paid $and was told by the representative that it was a year prescription that I cancelled via the telephone with a representative in August of this year A GoDaddy representative called me today and I had informed him I was not interested in there products and in August when I cancelled my prescription I requested to take my number off of there soliciting list and informed I never used the services that I paid for due to there website was not user friendly and constantly would freezeThe representative then told me that they auto renewed the prescription and my debit card was charged $on September 23, I am requesting a full refund due to I never authorized GODaddy to take any money from my account, the prescription was cancelled and I never agreed to an auto renewalCr ***
I changed my checking account last year and inadvertantly failed to update my GoDaddy account I received a renewal notic email from GoDaddy in November informing me that my domain had been automatically renewed You an imagine my confusion when I received a collection notice, yes collection notice, right before Christmas I called GoDaddy and they advised me they use a vendor (Certegy Check Services Inc) to collect money from check accounts I never received any communication from this company at all They simply sent me to a collection agency and I had to figure it all out on my own I closed my account with GoDaddy as I have no desire to work with a company that choices their vendors with no apparent regard to how they treat customers Google now has my business and will forever
When I called to cancel my account they were more than happy to close it for me, no questions asked Apparently they have so many clients they don't care about the ones they lose
I am an outpatient that invested in a website domain, hosting, Microsoft software and other products/services as part of my healthcare plan to reach my career objectivesThe website I paid to have is not in service and the company kept my money and used me for more information without giving me anything worth my money, time or informationI am a licensed consumer affairs job seeker that tried to create a professional public relations site that I paid to have
