I have used Go Daddy for many years for domains and more recently Outlook service for my business email The program crashed last week and I spent numerous hours trying to get help from them to fix it After having to uninstall it, do a fix and re-install it I find that all of my business folders with important information are missing Go Daddy tech support will take no responsibility and, in fact, continued to tell me it is all my fault I am not a tech person, I am a financial services professional I hire companies like Go Daddy to do the tech support and if there was something I needed to know about how to save my files, they needed to tell me BEFORE this happened and now take responsibility to help me recover the lost files Instead, they just tell me it's my fault Bad Business practices!
June 8, in the evening time I discovered that my *** website was down and the page said "Suspended." On Saturday I spoke with a GoDaddy Rep who said that I should have received an email but I did notThe first email I received was after that conversationI was then told to speak to the Copyright Dept so I replied to the Copyright DeptAfter several messages went back and forth they gave me the name, number and complaint of a MrAlan R*** who says he owns ***GoDaddy removed my entire website for one short paragraph where MrR*** claims to have a copyright on a few coined words that are used by thousands of people on the internet
I do not want anything to do with MrR*** especially after seeing his poor excuse for professing to be a ChristianGoDaddy handled this entire situation in a very unprofessional manner--> no warning to me, no email, no snail mail, no questions asked to me, no identity check on MrR***, and no proof of this
We had a website with godaddy ***) that we were paying $monthly to maintain our siteThe money was being deducted automatically every monthWe noticed today that our site was downWhen I logged into the site to see what was going on, the only alert we had was for renew our domain name for Our domain was paid up until 6/5/( I prepaid for year) I was confused, but thinking maybe that was the issue, I just paid itWhen I contacted them via telephone I was rudely told by a woman named Victoria that our usual payment method was declined on 11/7/and they sent us emails from that time alerting us that we needed to change payment methodsI received one email back o 11/7/that I must have missedThere were no further emailsThe credit card on file with them had expired and I was not awareI was told that it would be to restore our websiteThe was ONLY for the domain nameThe domain WAS good up until 6/5/Paying the e
I am a small business owner and have been successfully running my business for years My business relies heavily on website presence and we've been fortunate to gain new business from our website I have used GoDaddy for my website domain/hosting and email This past December came time for my renewal I was told that I had to upgrade to their new technology, but that everything would stay the same except for new technology After upgrading, my work email (including employee emails) and my website no longer worked properly I made multiple calls about the issues (in my non-spare time), and the email problem was fixed, however the website aspect was not, and still is not If someone tries to pull up my website in a browser that they used prior to the update, the website doesn't load properly GoDaddy's response was that the browser history would have to be cleared or someone would have to open the website in a new browser Let's be honest...the general public would not know
I recently unsubscribed my plan from wordpress to plex hosting as it came with free email as suggested by webchat,
after recent conversations on phone and webchat about how slow the website is performing compared to the wordpress as stated by an agentHe said I should of stayed on the orginal plan and not switched
Now GoDaddy refuse to refund credit to my account for weeks worth of hosting to switch over to the existing plan and want to charge more money again
Im asking for credit and ill pay the again but why should I be charged for a service that is not provided by host
Everytime I have spoken to support they are arrogant about the situationIts unacceptable that a company think its okay to mis-sell products and then refuse a credit to switch back to old plan and cancel the plan that was suggested that does not functionIts slow at loading on mb broadband and my webhost designer has said it was a mistake to switch over and is just as frustrat
On 6/23/18, I called into GoDaddy customer service as I began to notice I was being billed monthly in amounts from $8.99-$for Web Hosting I clearly know that I've purchased the domain name, and purchased renewals for it, but I absolutely did not purchase web hosting, because I've always had free hosting through my POS providerWhen I spoke to the customer service rep, he accused me of having purchased this web hosting plan in 2015, which is just not true I know that GoDaddy is notorious for auto-checking boxes for add-ons at the end of purchases, so I've been pretty meticulous in recent years/orders about ensuring that there are no hidden charges sneaking in my orders, but I absolutely did not order this service I have several domains with GoDaddy, and some email service ($4.99), but never needed web hosting The representative blamed me, and told me he would not be able to issue a refund for the serviceI was highly shocked He even knew that I had not used the service
I signed up a year ago on godaddy.com I shortly called and canceled this last year and was told it had been canceled and no further charges would happenWell I've received chargesOne for $and one for and some changeThese charges are unauthorized and you were not authorized any longer to charge my credit cardThis is theft and needs to be reconciled immediately
Standard website hosting package fees covers one-year of service forward Per godaddy.com CSRs, you must cancel within days to recoup any fees No pro-rating exists on godaddy web hosting services
This is a classic "bait and switch" offerI have attached a screenshot of the offerIt is complete and only my account information has been removed (black bars)Godaddy sent me an email offering, "20% off your domain renewals*" The offer said, "Use promo code ***" And, "This special offer is good for .com, .net, .org, .co, .info, .biz domains only." According to the email, the offer expires May 18, 2018." (Note: The expiration is more than a week from the date of this narrative
I went to renew my ".net" domain online at their website but, when I entered the promo code at checkout, it was refused with this message, "This promotional code does not apply to renewals AND requires a $minimum orderAdd $in new products to save 20%."
Since the email offer clearly stated it was for renewals I re-entered the promo code but it was rejected with the same messageI called their support numberI spoke with MichaelHe told me the promo code was not good for renewals I p
I purchased a VPS plan in October through GoDaddy, primarily because it included a CDN and WAF (through ***)A week into setting up my server, I began to realize all the problems that existed with the serviceGoDaddy support referred me to ***, who referred me back to GoDaddyBoth would refuse to help claiming it was the other's responsibility
The service itself had limited control, sometimes missing entire sections necessary to use the productThere was no way to purge the cache, and the temporary solution was to ask GoDaddy to ask *** to purge the cache when I needed to make changesAs a developer, this is unacceptableThey finally addressed this issue by manually upgrading my account to a different service so I could see the necessary functionality to use a CDN
Since then, there have been many problems with domains not being verified, problems with SSL certificates, sites not being scanned, notifications not being received, and the dashboard becoming unr
Beware of GoDaddy they will lie and do anything for a sale but leave you in the rain when you need helpEven after acknowledging their mistake, they offered no remedy so they just lost my business after years, moving hundreds of domains and SSL certificates today
First, they broke our website by selling us the wrong SLL certificate, then they upsold us a $dollar solution that was promised to fix the site within hrsAfter it was still not fixed the next day, I was told it will take at least 24-72hrs
Meanwhile our website is down and we are losing thousands of dollars a day
GoDaddy has totally disappointed me I have had an email account with them for years and have experienced a 239% increase in costs over that period That is, in my opinion, an unreasonable and ridiculous price increase And in addition, I am trying to downgrade my service due to the costs and they tell me that there can be no credit issued when I request the downgrade -- I am stuck with the current price for the remainder of the year, even if they complete the downgrade today I feel ripped off
I wanted to speak with a supervisor because your representative couldn't help me and he said no because he didn't know if I had an account with go daddy or notI asked him times to transfer me and he was a complete ***, rude, and disrespectfulHis name is Joao and he was unprofessional and really didn't know know what he was talking aboutI am livid and pissed the *** off because anytime a customer wants to speak with a supervisor they should be able to no matter what
I paid to renew a domain I own for two years
I was billed twice for this transaction
I was charged for two transactions at each
I contacted Godaddy who promised to refund the second charge of for additional years of registration that was not requested or authorized
after days with no refund, I asked my bank to revoke the paymenti supplied them with screen shots of the promised refund and billing information showing the double billing
Without contacting me, Godaddy Cancelled the registration of my domain, despite the fact it was valid, registered for two years from the first payment
I was contacted by a client saying my website was no longer in existence and because of that the board of is association chose another contactor
I contacted godaddy who told me I had to pay an fee to get my site back on, despite the fact the registration was valid and never should have been cancelled as the first transaction of was valid and had no i
The most dishonest billing practices I have ever seenGodaddy uses hidden charges, deceptive and misleading ways to make you pay for something that you don't wan't or need and if you ask for your money back they will threaten you with loss of one or more domain nameDo yourself a favor and use another registrar
As a Godaddy customer since the late 1990s, I have many services from GodaddyI am a Pro Reseller with GodaddyWhen their phone rep solicited me to renew my Pro Reseller account between 4-weeks ago, I instructed them that I'm happy to have it renewed on scheduled for one yearThey indicated this would be noted and changedToday, I was charged for yearsI called the company to ask them to correct their errorThey refused after keeping me on hold for minutes and transferring me from one person to the nextI was not allowed to speak to a supervisorI then sent an email outlining the issue and requesting they correct their mistake and issue a refund for the years I did not requestThey again refusedThey charged me for a renewal that I clearly told them I didn't want and refused to correct this even though I called in to report their error within an hour of it occurringThis callous and deceptive behavior is completely unacceptable, especially since I've been their cust
I purchased a hosting plan on Dec29, 2017, order # *** with email free for yearbut today I asked for help to setup email account, I was told that there is NO email plan for this order, so I called the support, and she is treated people as aliens, and say I dropped the email plan after order! what a ironic responseand offered to pay for new email plan as the order was bought as is nowi told her I have proof what we ordered that day, and I do not need anything else but original order, not the order now that you changed after we purchased! it is terrible practice like this, you changed the order and take the product from your package and now ask for more money, which I totally reject she and ask her to connect to her manager, and she refusedso here I am to ask for justice and tell the story to othersBe careful with the company like this, and keep your recordso she can't lie and hold her reponsonsibility!
get the proof, then I call you, okbut too much time
I purchased GoDaddy WordPress managed hosting and supportThe changes I've made to my site won't publishGoDaddy says this is a "content" issue, not a functionality issueI disagree, but even if it were a content issue, I purchased Wordpress managed hosting, not just hostingIs it too much to ask for the managed Wordpress site I've purchased to actually publish? I don't need a developer to help me build my site for a fee, which is the only solution they offeredI'm perfectly capable of building my own websiteIt looks great on my screenUnfortunately, the site that shows up online is the one I built the first day
When you dial GoDaddy's tech support, one of the phone options is "For assistance with our website builders, press 3" followed by "If you need help using one of our aapplications, like WordPress or Joomla, press 2." Should it say "...but only if your problem is really simple"?
I had purchased a website builder service and e-commerce store from GoDaddy I had multiple issues with the service that I had called them for I was interested in upgrading my service, if need be to get the desired service She told me that if I cancelled, I would have to "start from scratch" I had weeks worth of work into my website I found it very frustrating that the person who took the call was, essentially, the only person I could speak with about my complaint She told me I could speak with a Supervisor, but that person would only answer to her performance I had expressed my dissatisfaction with the service and mentioned, if their suggestions didn't fix the issues, I would then cancel I asked the representative how long I had to cancel She stated days I asked her when that would be and she told me I had until May 25th to cancel I was getting nowhere with the use of this website and decided to cancel and not run it until the 25th When I signed onto my acc
