We received an email from GoDaddy offering a 20% discount for the renewal of our domain hosting which, after reading the fine print, turned out to be a offerWe went ahead and paid the full price for renewal, since our hosting expiration date was nearThen we sent an email, to an address given to us by a GoDaddy customer service rep, requesting a 20% refund, in order to make the offer true, citing that the offer was deceptive
Our request was sent June 16th; it was not returned, so we conclude it was receivedThe request was sent before the discount offer expired and also before our hosting expired; we are still within days of the transaction, as stated in GoDaddy's Refund Policy
We have had no acknowledgement or response from GoDaddy as of yet

Godaddy has an auctions department that sells domains through an auction process similar to Ebay I placed a max bid of on a specific domain *** The godaddy system malfunctioned and put my bid as 22, I contacted Godaddy IMMEDIATELY prior to the auction finishing from both email and PHONE Godaddy General support told me that they didn't know what to do about the malfunction and this Auction ran on a Sunday and GODADDY auctions is conveniently NOT OPEN on Sunday The auction continued with the bidding continuing and stopped at $7300(ie my bid was overbidding everyone else because the system has my bid as 22,221) I contacted them through email (the only way the auction department seems to correspond) and they said there was nothing they could do I am long time member of godaddy have hundreds of domains, websites, been a premium member of the auctions sites, so I AM NOT a NOVICE and placed hundreds of bids over many many years This was system malfunction obvious

GoDaddy had me on automatic renewal on a four year basis for a domain name I have not used for more than four years because I moved out of that area When I saw the charge on my credit card, I called them immediately They told me that there was only a day grace period to cancil and I was calling (today) on the 23rd day, so all they would do is turn off the automatic renewal feature so that I would not be charged again four years from now (2020) I had no idea I was on automatic renewal from four years ago and because I called two days after their grace period, there was nothing they could do The bill was charged on my *** credit card on 5/7/and the statement date for my credit card is 5/20/and I received it on 5/28/16, but did not open it until today 5/31/16, so I missed the grace period by three days So because I missed the grace period by three days, I will now be paying for a service I no longer want, need or can use, but I am paying for it for four more years The

We got charged for a year of web hosting, and they refused to provide the service!!! We have another account with 30+ domain names that we will try to move to different domain register

Upon using Godaddy's app for my website domain name renewal, the app caused a pop up that had a confirm payment button right where I was clicking to adjust the length of renewal termI tried to cancel this renewal, and received a confirmation that the renewal was canceledI then purchased the correct length of time of year on each domain and resubmitted my renewalThe prior renewal was never canceled and I was billed twiceUpon discussing this with their customer service, I was told they would only cancel everything and give me a full refund, but that I would lose my domain namesAll I wanted was to cancel the accidental payment caused by their app's pop up payment button, but they were unwilling to cancel the extra renewal onlyI would like the $additional charge refunded and my year domain name renewal to remain for the $purchase
So, I did business with GoDaddy for quite some timeThey were actually barely tolerable for some time, but recently they have become very difficult with regard to service and billingQuite a few months ago, after a number of sessions where their customer service people jerked me around a number of times, I terminated my association with GoDaddyIt was extremely difficult to have GoDaddy stop hosting a number of my websites and to have them give up their hold on those domainsI received an e-mail long ago stating that I was completely done with themLately, they just decided put my billing back into operation (after supposedly purging it from their system) and to bill me $for domain renewal and Privacy & Business Protection for a domain that I don’t own and don’t host at GoDaddyWhen I called GoDaddy, they refused to refund the money to my card, wanted me to put even more security on my non-existent account (making it much harder to cancel), and then repeatedly refused m
It's a scam that the Revdex.com rates this company has an A+ when they scam every customer they get their hands onIf it wasn't for the promo code that I was able to acquire a slightly less yearly cost for a domain name because I'm a cheap ***, I would never touch this horrible institution for anythingThey sell your information as soon as they get itIn fact, it's practically automated!! Sell all customer information for more greedy corporate dollars as punishment for not paying an extortion fee to privatize it! $7.99/year for privacy protection? WHAT A RIP OFF! As an insider, I know it costs them literally NOTHING to automate an email forwarding addressNOTHINGThey are making a 1000% profit on this scam, and a 100,000% profit on selling your information if you don't buy into itYou will be slammed out the *** with automated fishing scams and phone calls from their ring leaders over seasTrust me, they will lawfully rape you to the fullest extent of their ability
Here is a copy of the email I sent to the godaddy.com headquarters an email address I was given by their customer service representative to resolve my complaint
Good Afternoon,
My name is *** and last week I spoke with your three of your customer service agents about a problem I am having with your company
In I opened two separate accounts for different business ideas I had which I didn't end up usingIn when I saw the charge on one of my credit cards I called customer service and cancelled the account, during that conversation I told the customer service agent that I opened another account and I would like to cancel that one as wellHe searched both of my cards and I gave him all the information neededHe said that I did not have another accountAt that point I thought I might have been wrong and maybe I didn't open the second account
Fast forward to when I realized this month that my debit card had indeed been charged for that accountI immedia
So I went on line to buy a few domain names from Go Daddy I successfully bought the domain names and proceeded to checkout All of a sudden "Free Trial buttons" appeared offering various services I inadvertently, click on these buttons About days later, I noticed on my bank account a charged from Go Daddy in the amount of $ Horrified, I immediately, call my bank to report that there was a fraudulent charge to my account The bank later reversed the charged later stating that Go Daddy had provided them with screen shots of my information for these products I advised the bank that I never received an itemized invoice from Go Daddy with these charges I telephone Go Daddy and they advised me that I had clicked on the Free trial buttons at least times, and I had to opt out after days and if I didn't there was a pre-checked box with automatic one year renewal once one failed to unchecked the box The problem with that explanation is there was no visible pre-chec
On May 15, I contacted GoDaddy customer service to renew a domain name that had expiredThey let me know it expired because I had an old email addressI paid the extra $fee to them to renew it after expiration because that was my fault for having an old email I no longer usedI had them also update the email for me
I have since then been getting communication from them on my new email account and never had any emails cause any concernToday I went on to use one of my domain names and to my surprise the domain name was no longer thereThey informed me that the domain name had expired and they send emails to my old email account that the renewal failedUnfortunately I did not get those emails as the email account was not workingFirst issues was I was told my email was updated for proper communicationSecond they have chosen to email me on this new email address and have been unwilling or unable to explain why they would choose to send those emails to my old accou
I am paying for a domain website at:www.rebeccaconstruction.com and I have notified lost of times by chat for goddady and it seems that I have been talking to mental rs because no one knows how to make sure my web site is workingI have been told that they will re-set it but it has not been working for the last three monthsI have requested their CEO email and those mental rs do not even know who the CEO is
Website builder for *** has a "contact us" form that is NOT functioningRather than looking into the problem or escalating it to the proper people who can resolve this, (as there is NO WAY 1st tier can do anything) I get a "try using another email" blah blah blahThat is NOT the way to resolve thisThis exact problem arose when they changed servers on me
The girl I spoke too was clueless on how to resolve anythingVery sadThis must have been the 20th time I have called and had no assistance whatsoever I have cancelled most of my domains/host and am planning to run as soon as the acapulco domain expires
I do NOT expect this to be resolved and I will continue to badger your what you consider support until someone does their job! I think your business model is pathetic and borderline illegal
After years of being a client of GoDaddy total businesses subscribed, our companies have reached the end of the ropeGodaddy has failed over and over to provide the correct performance platform for our website, and always blaming technical outside reasons for their "overload" of sharing server environments
Two weeks ago, they offered me to switch to a new dedicated server where performance is superiorand even though the agents are always professional and well spoken, the fact is that they were moving one of the domains only, and disregarded all other companies we had online, charging me an extra premium and migration fee to move, and allowing the old server to expire and close Only when our directors and clients complaint that our websites were down is that we noticed that there was something really horrible going on During my call today, they explained that they had only moved one domain name (because that was the reason for my previous call) and assume that all other companies did not need to be online, so they close the old server as it didn't receive payment
The lack of customer service by Samuel and supervisor Steve today shows how important is to have the proper education and knowledge on handling a delicate company decision like thispenalizing customers with extra charges to reinstate their websites, after up-selling premiums for a new server that can perform better
It is obvious to us and many others I read in the Revdex.com website, that a massive operation is being manipulated by GoDaddy to up-sell services, servers and transfer feesIt is also obvious that after almost a decade of being a client, and numerous transfers of server platforms where all our business websites migrate together, Godaddy will assume that we will let our other enterprise websites just die and go offlineThat alone tells us that they are pushing to up-sell services by tricking customers without proving full disclosure
