I have been with been a customer of Godaddy since 2001!! I remember when their customer service was top notch and they did try to give you their best serviceThe past few months I have noticed a decrease in fair serviceGetting good service is so inconsistent with Godaddy these daysI spent over hours trying to migrate a site from SiteGround to GodaddyGodaddy sent me videos and information on how to do it, however when I followed step by step instructions it still failedThey suggested that I pay for a migration at $to get my site transferredI purchased their migrationLater after they said "migration is complete", the site looks nothing like it use to look likeI called to complain and they said "Migration is only to migrate the contents (files)"Then they told me that by purchasing the migration, I agreed to the AS IS NO GUARANTEES policy in their fine printThis is what an actual Supervisor told meHe told me,"You have two options": A"Pay for the premium service" OR B"Do the work yourself"The simple effort of taking my files that I zipped to them and putting them into my account is pretty much the same place I was to begin with
Here is a great analogy of their service that they provided:
Let's say your cars transmission messed up so you call a tow truck to pick up your carYou watch the car being carried away by the tow truckWhen the car arrives, it is in a thousand piecesThe tow truck driver says,"I got your car back to you, there were no guarantees that it would arrive in one piece and there are no refunds"Next he tells you that he can put it back together for a "PREMIUM SERVICE CHARGE (godaddy)"I don't know about you but this should be illegal, no matter how many pages of fine print you want to hide behind
The company lured me in with an offer for a cent domain name, it found the domain was available, and offered to sell it to me for centsin the shopping cart the price was now I contacted support, who told me to check the promo code in the URL, and use it to get the offerThe promo code in the URL and the one what was applied in the shopping cart were identical (***)in the shopping cart, the code is only for 20% off of I believe this is bait and switchThe customer service agent kept informing me that there was nothing else he could do
I created a website from Go DaddyHowever, the domain was purchased earlier from a different vendorSo I had to transfer the use from that vendor to Go DaddyThe first question I got was about why I hadn't used themAfter I created the website, I decided not to use itThat's when the problem startedI gave Go Daddy my credit card informationBut there was no way to access my own credit card information in order to cancel the website serviceAccessing your own credit billing is a basic for any business to customer relationshipThey don't have it because they want to trap youBottom line is I couldn't cancel itThey have a 45-day cancellation policy, but there is no way to cancel itI did get all of this down in an online conversation I had with their chat service personI am not allowed to show it here, but will provide it upon requestI am filing a consumer complaint with the Federal Communications Commission
Those people are pests! I am in the process of closing my account with them and they keep hounding me over the phone and via the internet--even though I have set my preferences to keep from getting ANY communications from GoDaddyMoreover, their customer service requires the customer to contact them via long-distance (as opposed to toll-free) telephoneOf course, customers may ask them to contact them at a certain time, but they never doI have received calls from GoDaddy at times when I am away from my computer or when I am doing something elseI am NOT GoDaddy's slave--I DO NOT work for GoDaddy

I purchased the URL *** and received an email from Go Daddy that it was time to renew, with a grace period During the grace period, I tried to renew four times, but each time, there was a problem with Go Daddy adding extra charges, locking the charges on, and receiving help from their online support teamThe extra charge was for privacy, but Go Daddy put some type of LOCK on it so that I could not remove the extra charge without speaking to a chat person, and both times the chat person left me hanging for so long that I had to leave and go to workThe fourth time, I received an email from Go Daddy saying they tried to charge my card to renew it, but couldn't because I had a new card, so I went immediately to the website and a customer rep named Chino came on but didn't reply after I wrote "hello" a couple of times, so actually it was the fifth time when I disconnected, reconnected, and got David P I went through the same thing, with the extra charge locked onto my p
GoDaddy is my DNS (Domain Name Service)Even though I had already renew my subscription for years, I was contacted by that organization telling me that it was time to renew my subscription They misled me and they charged my credit card for $and with this amount my subscription according to them my subscription has been extended to the year I am a senior years old and I doubt that I will be alive in that yearI had long conversations with two agents of GoDaddy and both alleged that their system does not allow to issue a refund for the subscription period to To renew my subscription until the year is I believe unethical and illegal since they knew that my subscription covered me until the year
In I asked to be removed from the account into remove my credit card informationIn October a renewal was placed against my credit card
I Tried to contact Go Daddy by email, but my email was declined because it was not on their whitelist

I tried to get help from the on line chat option The operator only claimed that I was finding a cached version of the site that must have had a promotion I asked them to send me a link to a page that would be correct I clicked on their link, same situation exactly I could not find any way to pay for the first year It really seems like a case of bait and switch pricing

I have upgraded my hosting early on July and the NIGHTMARE startedThe websites would not show, or would point to some different business, or shown as parked
Also every few days an old version of the site was uploaded (so I would have to have my developers CONTINUOUSLY UPDATE) as GoDaddy would upload Mar 18, version! IMAGINE THAT!
And when you would call them they would try to sell you maleware and SSL (even though I had both) and I was a subject to telemarketing twice a week
I can't trust GoDaddy as the issues continuedI have now transferred my services to a different hosting and all of the sudden (SHOCK!) EVERYTHING WORKS!
I also want to take my domain names as GoDaddy is tampering with them but I am getting :
"Transfer domain away from GoDaddy (disabled)
Transfer available on 18-09-05"
Holding me hostage for days from the purchase meaning causing CONTINUOUS SEVERE DAMAGE TO MY BUSINESS
I am tired of my sites being shown as 'parked' or show steaks
I own a web-site (***) that is hosted by GoDaddyI have been trying to cancel this website since 4/10/as it was scheduled for automatic renewal in May I have been the only person on this account since when my business partner and I separated At that time, we spoke with go daddy and changed all of the information to show me as the owner, use my address only, and charge all fees to my credit cardAfter a number of phone calls to cancel the account, I was told that my former partner is still shown as the registrant and I don't have the authority to cancel the accountAs requested I submitted several emails to the "protected reg" department after being assured this would fix the problem, I received an email saying I could not cancel the accountOne person in Tech Support suggested I use an invalid debit card and that would prevent them from charging my account I went to the bank and told them what was happening and they suggested I cx my credit cardI did so
I wanted go daddy to host my website, but after all of the confusion on how to transfer my domain, I cancelled the hosting and was refunded my moneyA week later go daddy decides to go back into my bank account for a retry payment, I called them and spoke with a representative named Steven and I informed him on what happened and he said go daddy did not go into your account because you do not have any business with us anymore since you cancelled your service, and I explained to him that they still went in my account, he said to me the bank must have went in your accountSo I called my bank and they told me that go daddy is the merchant who has access to your checking account to do a retry, and they were responsible for this transactionIts so disturbing how these people can lie to customers and take their money without authorization
As I have previously had discussions with the Godaddy Management team, I was sent e-mails to renew services, which I had no intention of renewing- since I never proceeded with business plan, did not need any of their services----these e-mails, over dozen, all stated my service would expire- I let them "expire" but not responding or renewing I later discovered they charged my cc over $for an "auto-renewal" of services which I never agreed to terms of service I have not received a refund, despite one of their reps validating I never proceeded with any use of the services I do not understand how their business strategy works, but I suspect a class action lawsuit has been tried, will be tried, or has been won-
I would like an immediate refund to the services I never enrolled in, never used, but was charged for-
