I wanted go daddy to host my website, but after all of the confusion on how to transfer my domain, I cancelled the hosting and was refunded my moneyA week later go daddy decides to go back into my bank account for a retry payment, I called them and spoke with a representative named Steven and I informed him on what happened and he said go daddy did not go into your account because you do not have any business with us anymore since you cancelled your service, and I explained to him that they still went in my account, he said to me the bank must have went in your accountSo I called my bank and they told me that go daddy is the merchant who has access to your checking account to do a retry, and they were responsible for this transactionIts so disturbing how these people can lie to customers and take their money without authorization

My business website hosting domain expired, which resulted in my website and all content taken down and deletedI payed the recover fee to have my site go back online as it was beforeAfter paying the fee, they stated that they don't have the backup to restore my website, even though in there SOP they are to keep a full back up after a expired hosting plan for days which will be used to recover the customers websiteThey stated that they don't have it and its my fault because I didn't back it upNow all my business website and content is gone, everything! They are not willing to try and find the solution and or go back to backed up snapshot to bring my site back upThere is always something that can be done to restore content from servers, that is why they have a backup SOP and Disaster Recovery in place to resolve those issuesI have been a godaddy customer since and there has to be some time of backup that they can go back to for a restore

This company has a lot of fraud going on especially security for clientsAlmost every employee in Go Daddy seems to create rules and policies as they speak to customersThey will tell you what they think they believe and not the factsI had purchased separate SSL certificates and called Go Daddy customer supportI had to setup different kinds of SSL on different domains and I called go daddy I got connected to agent on the phoneI have to go through verification step system to get and give access to my account for security purposesThe agent asked my NAME, CUSTOMER #, PIN #, then TEXTED me a SECURITY CODE on my CELLPHONE to get into my account which is even when I try to access from computerOnce the agent verified my account I started asking about my purchase and the agent told you can defintly use the SSL certificates you purchased just REVOKE the SSL which is expiring and the standard SSL will be able to work on your DOMAINSo I revoked the SSLI called back to

In I asked to be removed from the account into remove my credit card informationIn October a renewal was placed against my credit card
I Tried to contact Go Daddy by email, but my email was declined because it was not on their whitelist
I have contacted Go Daddy by phone and they are telling me that I cannot be Refunded because my request was more than five days after the posting I asked the associate, Jordan R***, to escalate my case with management

I hosted my company website with Godaddy, I did not realize the account was not set to automatically renewThey sent me emails over the course of weeks, all of which fell into my Junk folder so I did not see themWithout any phone call (like the calls I get when they are selling me something or my domain is expiring) they proceeded to shut my website downWhen I called they said it would cost $to restore my website so I paid it, then they sent me an email that it was not possibleUnbeknownst to me as the rep did not warn me, that fee is non refundableSo then they proceed to tell me that they can manually "migrate" my website for me from my backup for $100, which I will also payI have yet to determine if this will actually work

I was planning to purchase a domain name through Godaddy.com
I went to the site and it said right away that it was for one year I put a domain name in my cart and it told me that one year would cost $
If I did two years, the first would be $
I tried to get help from the on line chat option The operator only claimed that I was finding a cached version of the site that must have had a promotion I asked them to send me a link to a page that would be correct I clicked on their link, same situation exactly I could not find any way to pay for the first year It really seems like a case of bait and switch pricing

I have had a number of issues with website "security" with Go DaddyThey blocked forms on my website from being completed by my customers and my notifications, claiming my site had security issuesThey said they would not allow me to use the forms to protect their servers unless I bought a security packageAfter I refused, my site, for the first time in the nearly two years I had the site running, was shut down by an "outside attack." Since I need my site to work, I ultimately purchased the security packageThe uptime and security reports never showed any problems, yet several requests to the security team removed literally thousands of malware and other attacks on the integrity of the siteI had been using other services in the previous 18-months to scan for attacks and protect my site without any problems at allI have spent hours upon hours on the phone on more than one occasion to get my site up and running again, after it went downOne time the rep insisted my site was running, when I was looking at the page and giving her the exact error message that showed on the screen when attempting to navigate to my siteThis had culminated in a chat today during which the representative kept rambling on and when I demanded the unnecessary chat stop and said I don't have time to waste, she disconnected the chatDO NOT USE GODADDY for your hosting or any other services - they do not deliver, they inundate you with sales calls, and do not deliver the product and services they claimThe only thing keeping me from immediately leaving is the time it will take me to secure hosting and transfer my website to another company

I received a charge for service I did not want to continue I have had numerous good experience and websites with this coover the years
I called to cancel this charge, on hold for minutes, they said Hi to me I said how are you, good, and then they hung up on me
I tried to do a live chat, which you have to stay on hold for almost minutes
They said I can only cancel within days, and ti was business days so I couldn'tI was not aware of a day return policy or that I was even signed up for a automatic renewal on the account

I have been trying to close out my full account including any auto renewal payments and added domain names and packagesI have called and tried closing my acct out for over two years with no success due to a run aroundAbout a year ago I was finally told to fill out certain forms on their website and then it would be all taken care ofI did do this but when one form asked for me to take a picture of my id and paste to forms through the site I did do so although with each attempt the screen went blank after adding my id to the requested formsAt this point it continued to deleat all info I had entered so I had to restart the processAfter trying this several times I gave upIn contacting the customer service dept once again they recommended I try tomorrow because there could be a glitch in the systemSame ordeal The next dayAt this point I contacted my bank in hopes to get help to resolve the matter without filing a claimI recieved a new credit card number butwas shocked t

Office e-mail not setting up despite saying it is for domain poundofbutter.caIt always only ever stuck on "we are creating this e-mail" but never actually createsI was on GoDaddy chat with Bery today and he was not helpful and said I would have to "wait" for it to set up - but it never ACTUALLY sets up, which is why I contacted GoDaddy to begin withI told him I wanted compensation for the service not properly working but he said in order to get compensation I would have to CANCEL my hosting plan with them, which I DO NOT want to do

Those people are pests! I am in the process of closing my account with them and they keep hounding me over the phone and via the internet--even though I have set my preferences to keep from getting ANY communications from GoDaddyMoreover, their customer service requires the customer to contact them via long-distance (as opposed to toll-free) telephoneOf course, customers may ask them to contact them at a certain time, but they never doI have received calls from GoDaddy at times when I am away from my computer or when I am doing something elseI am NOT GoDaddy's slave--I DO NOT work for GoDaddy

I am years old clients of Godaddy my cr is ***Unfortunately, over weeks ago while renewing some of products & upgrading the VPS a mistake took place when customer support asked to import the other websites existing sites from the cPanel that was about to expire on the 14th of MayThe mistake was that an empty folder was there and it did overwrite the laveranda folder on the VPS and there the disasterNot only my business website was gone but my e-mails and my staff e-mails were no longer functional
The customer support suggested a restore of a backup dated back to October As being the only option available since the company who developed the website was out of business for few months before I saw no reason why not going for itUnfortunately, I was not given all the details of the process and what it could involve nor had the full disclosure to think ofAs the restore commenced, the VPS is no longer accessible which is understood but for the e-ma

I purchased a simple domain name just to park it, and am now receiving 3-spam phone calls a day from one or another foreign "website design" companiesGoDaddy sells your contact information without your consent

As I have previously had discussions with the Godaddy Management team, I was sent e-mails to renew services, which I had no intention of renewing- since I never proceeded with business plan, did not need any of their services----these e-mails, over dozen, all stated my service would expire- I let them "expire" but not responding or renewing I later discovered they charged my cc over $for an "auto-renewal" of services which I never agreed to terms of service I have not received a refund, despite one of their reps validating I never proceeded with any use of the services I do not understand how their business strategy works, but I suspect a class action lawsuit has been tried, will be tried, or has been won-
I would like an immediate refund to the services I never enrolled in, never used, but was charged for-
Thanks

I purchased a company in January of who already used GoDaddy for a website and hosting When purchasing the company I was not informed the need to pay for an additional three years of website domain, hosting and migration fees to update the owner of the business until trying to change the responsible party for the website I had to pay out of my pocket that day to "migrate" the website from the past owner of the company to me Then I had to purchase software called SiteLock due to an issue with migration and files the previous owner had in storage that contained a virus Then more hosting for three years, migrating, domain fees and such = lots of money out of my pocket I wasn't expecting I had no choice I now owned the business and needed to move the website over
Here we are three months later and after getting the company information all moved over and finding a much cheaper and easier website and hosting company where they actually help you without wanting you to pa

cr *** we initiated a transfer of domain, then declined it
company charged the card but did not refund the amount back
this company ended their customer support email, their chat version of customer support is virtually impossible to reach and last time I talked to them, they were telling lies over the phone including supervisorswe spent hours over the phone only to have the issue non-resolved

I have my business domain hosted at Godaddy, and without my permission Godaddy changed the DNS records of my domain - taking down both my company website and company email

they are stealing my moneythey blocked me out of my account after I was forced to get a new cell numberi have no access to my account even after sending them additional personal information and previously verbally tell them that I am cancellingTHEY ARE UNETHICAL AND CROOKS PLEASE GET ALL MY MONEY BACK!

I recently discovered that Go Daddy deleted my website without my knowledge or approvalI was ready to post an important article on the election and noticed my website was goneI called GoDaddy and they said they sent me a noticeI get hundreds of emails and didn't see itAlso, when a domain name is about to expire, Daddy always calls me on the phone to let me know in time to renewThey only sent one email about the renewal and it did not even have the name of my website, *** in itOther renewal notices of domain names have the namesDeleting an entire website I have had for many years is far more seriousThey should have made sure I approved before deleting itThey said it was not retrievableThey should have called me or sent more than one email, and put clear information in the subject line so I would know what it was about
I have chronic fatigue and some neurological impairment form toxic mold exposure, and no income now - so it is stressful for

Negative
I have been a Go Daddy customer for more than years now and I am very very unsatisfied with their policies and their serviceThey are always looking to make money in every way possibleTheir policies are very unfriendly to small business and they should be ashamed of itOne recent example I give is about my email hosting plan
I was a subscriber or their old 'Website Builder' for almost years now, however limiting, expensive and frustrating it was, I was putting up with it as I am a one man small business and with my limited time and resources, I never felt that it was worth my time to spend more time criticizing itSo, when they offered their new "Go Central" plan, I signed up and it seemed way more flexible and had much better UIWhile switching, the rep never told me that the email plan I had was linked to my old website builder plan and that switching from that would make me lose my access to my business email and email address itself
Thankfully, I called up again and the new rep clarified this and made me sign up for another stand alone email plan for $for years - basic email etc - I wasnt too happy as I had free email before and now I was paying for this separately as wellI still went ahead as no business can survive without an email - so you Go Daddy got me here - v clever
If this wasnt enough, I called them again with an unrelated issue when I was told that the email plan I had just bought was an old email server that they were planning to retire and in order to migrate to their new server, I would have to pay another $t keep my emailsI mean - "Seriously" !!!!! Since when did consumers start paying for email server migrations ?? Isnt this supposed to be something the business is supposed to provide the consumer as an ongoing infrastructure support??
I asked the rep as to what would have happened if I had not called up and known about this - how would you have charged me and he answered that it would have showed up as a pending balance in my next statementSo I pay for their new website builder, I pay for basic email and I also pay for your server migrationsI asked if all existing customers on email plans have been consented to this migration payment and he said that they have to agree to this while accepting terms and conditionsie it is all hidden in the fine print that no one ever reads and here is the golden opportunities that GoDaddy looks forShame on You
You are a total rip off - taking advantage of busy small businesses who are trying to survive and stay afloat already
BTW - GoDaddy always offers discounts on new services ONLY and never on renewals - once you sign up for one, you are screwed because when that comes up for renewal, the next time around - you will never see a discount again
Stop your advertising Go Daddy- you are not small business friendlyUtterly and deeply regret my decision to having bought the domain and the web hosting plan with you
