I purchased a website package from GoDaddy Incon November 10, The package included website migration, basic wordpress websites, office starter email, and BIZ domain transfer The representative requested me to get username and password for domain and wordpress information from current website provider JusthostI contacted Justhost several times because Godaddy continued to request additional username and password information from November 10th to 30thI provided Godaddy with the information and was told it would take to days for transfer to be complete
I received email on December 6th stating that the transfer was completeWhen I attempted to login to my website on December 10th the site was downI contacted Godaddy and they confirmed it was down and that they did not migrate the wordpressThe transfer was only for the domain and that the wordpress was a separate process and that the website needed to be up and runningThat was the first time that had ever be

I have a year contract I bought with Godaddy in August which is ending in August Godaddy had been sending me numerous email regarding a 25% discount for "new" purchasesI have been working on my website and had been shopping around for good deals on hostingI spoke with agent Barbara B*** on March as she was helping me with the migration for my site I had just paid dollarsShe had been going over with me about prices for renewals which to renew all would have been 1,which she brought the price down to I told her I would make my decision in May as had time to do shopping until August I saw the email godaddy sent me and I told barbara that I would sign up for the 25% discount godaddy sent me in the email as it included all of my renewals in thereI logged on to purchase and because I thought I was saving 25%, I went to purchase other products thinking I am having a good deal and on my check out it still showed the discount code at the check out

I signed up with godaddy months ago and from day to get them to correct the problems I was having with the lack of picture detail I needed at my online store
For months, they kept me trying different things ,some at more cost to me none of which worked
I signed up for a yr commitment and finally, after getting tired of the run around, cancilled allWhen I called for a partial refund, they said "oh,it is outside of our day window, sorry we do not give refunds after that
They strung me along long enough to keep me from any kind of refundBad bussineess practice at least
I want the remaining portion of my money refunded due to thier practicesNo one mentioned a day refund policy Someone should have instead of dragging it out when they knew full well that it would never work the way I needed it toWhy did they not just say so up front? One reason, to get me to be hopeful it would work and keep all of my money

I purchased my website and e-mail essentials through godaddy, and it has been one of the most regretful decisions of my business experiences/purchases so farIn the past month I have spoken via chat at least or times with someone and each time they seem to not understand or comprehend basic questions or statementsIn my most recent experience, I chatted with someone last week to add e-mail encryption to my email accountHe told me that I would receive an email confirmation to set it up in the coming dayA few hours came and went- no emailI opened another chat and the person assured me the email was comingFast forward to a week later (today)- no email, no encryption, but of course they were happy to have already charged meI wrote in and was told that the repupgraded my email account to business premium, but did not add encryptionI told them this was an UNAUTHORIZED SALE since I was not made aware that was what I was being charged for or added to my accountIt was stated several times by me that all I needed to do to my account was add encrypted email capabilitiesThe rep somehow took this to add a feature and charge me for $for something I did not need and was not discussed
The reptoday said there was nothing he could do so we chatted with a managerAfter hours of going back and forth, we finally were told they could work on fixing this and get me back to email essentials but would have to basically delete all my emails and re-set up my accountWe backed up the emails but now, while we wait for them and Microsoft to sort out account stuff, my new business email, which has several emails out and waiting for emails back, is just sitting there and cannot receive nor send emails to customers- the MAIN way that I make money and am able to run a competent and efficient business
Representatives kept telling us that they were sorry but did not seem to understand or comprehend how much it affects me as a business owner and, well, to spend hours of time talking to a team that really seemed to have an excuse for everything and was not customer-service oriented, it really ruined my way
As soon as my subscription ends, I will be transferring to a different companyI had heard reviews on godaddy before and how terrible it was to work with, but until I had an issues that was THEIR fault that cost me time, stress, and essentially money, I had no ideaI do not recommend them whatsoever

Godaddy failed to sufficiently notify us of an expired domain, then proceeded to put it into an auction with a company that they ownedWe were unaware the domain had expired and did not become aware until days after it was sold by their internal auction companyThey claim that the payment option associated with the domain was not workingHowever, there were multiple payment options available in the account and they failed to attempt the other methods which included PaypalWe believe that Godaddy has a conflict of interest because they own the company that auctioned off the domain when it did not renew and made more money from that than allowing us to renew

I paid for domain buy service in July of I still haven't gotten a call or email or letter from go daddy with any answers or feed back I contacted them several times asking about it and what was they outcome and they had no answers for me it is now September this is not right not how you should treat your customers I was was very happy when I signed up with go daddy I had faith in them

Representative at godaddy changed my contact email address without my consent or knowledge therefore I did NOT receive a reminder email that one of my domains was expiringNow godaddy wants to extort $from me to recover my domain because of their mistakeOh and before someone at godaddy replies that I changed my email...there is zero chance I would do that since I not only have had that email address for 15+ yearsI have that email at almost every address i.eyahoo, hotmail, live, gmail, sbcglobal, comcast, charter, at&t, even at a domain I have with godaddy with the same nameThere is, and I repeat NO WAY I would have changed my email with godaddyIt simply isn't possibleSo since this is something godaddy did without my knowledge or consent I BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT! They should not only renew my domain without the $recovery fee, they should renew it for free as compensation for the inconvenience their error has caused meOh but wait that is something only a responsible customer caring company would do not a money grubbing profit before customer company like godaddy would do

I had websites hostedI had just finished putting dating scripts on and needed to move a file from my user folder to my root folderThis is simple, right? Wrong! I had noticed, I could never ssh into my root folder to admin from inside of this folderLong story short, I had given my password to the hosting tech support people since I didn't want it to be changed and knew they could always access the server at any time anywayApparently sometime later in the evening, I could not even access the user folder I had been working inAfter speaking with support, they told me I had been hacked and removed from the admin on the serverThen they suggested if they fix my issue, it would cost me $to do soThey went on and told me to backup my sites and destroy & rebuild my VPS and use the snapshot I had from three weeks backAfter trying to back up my websites and not having access to any cpanels, I then tried to restore after destroying and was amazed to find outThe backup

Very cool Really happy with the ease of use of their product, and the results

I pre-payed GoDaddy $1,to create a website based on my mock-upI provided the visual, which is pretty basicBrandon in customer service was professional and seemed to understand my needsThe designers, however, either weren't listening or weren't capable, because their design barely resembled my mock-upNervous, I contacted customer service for a refundBrandon wasn't there, but his coworker said that they could refund only $because of man hoursHe assured me, however, that if I stick with them, the design team could get it rightHe said that it could be a learning moment for their teamHe said he would assign my project to a different designer and also extend an extra round of revisionsConfident again, I stayed the courseThe second design just arrived miserably off the markTheir WordPress skills appear to be very basic, on par with my ownNo one on the team actually designs: It is clipart-onlyI'm filing this complaint not because of GoDaddy's customer service

I have owned a domain for many years which I purchased through go daddy Due to personal issues, I was not able to pay the menial renewal fee this year when the time came Trying to re-purchase it today, the domain was unavailable I was on live chat with a gentleman from go daddy for close to an hour, as he acted as though he had no idea why my domain, *** would have been purchased by a guy named *** *** who lives in Anchorage, AlaskaAfter I told him it had to be scam, I was told that I could PURCHASE the domain once again -- this time for $plus 20% brokerage fee
My name and my brand was now being sold to me at a higher price This is most certainly not the way it should be.k I am not sure if there is something I can do about this, but am hoping to find out It does not seem ethical

So, I did business with GoDaddy for quite some timeThey were actually barely tolerable for some time, but recently they have become very difficult with regard to service and billingQuite a few months ago, after a number of sessions where their customer service people jerked me around a number of times, I terminated my association with GoDaddyIt was extremely difficult to have GoDaddy stop hosting a number of my websites and to have them give up their hold on those domainsI received an e-mail long ago stating that I was completely done with themLately, they just decided put my billing back into operation (after supposedly purging it from their system) and to bill me $for domain renewal and Privacy & Business Protection for a domain that I don’t own and don’t host at GoDaddyWhen I called GoDaddy, they refused to refund the money to my card, wanted me to put even more security on my non-existent account (making it much harder to cancel), and then repeatedly refused m

I was attempting to renew my online store website on GoDaddyI entered a coupon code (CJCCOUP30) for 30% offA green banner popped up stating that I entered a valid code. The discounted price ~$was reflected in the check out areaThis was correct and I clicked “Complete Purchase,” paying with my *** account GoDaddy already had on fileI was then redirected to a confirmation screen stating that I was successfully charged ~$I was absolutely shocked as this was ~ $more than I originally agreed to pay when I authorized usage of my *** AccountI contacted customer support immediatelyI spoke to Kevin via web chat who told me “You never entered a codeWe can refund your money, but we have to delete your website and you will have to start all overOr we can restore your website for a fee.” I then spoke to his supervisor Christian who just apologized for my displeasure at GoDaddy’s solution - I expressed my frustration further and did not receive a response after some

Godaddy claims they have a website builder that is easy to use for freeOnce you give them your information they say its only free for the first daysI proceeded since the website also claims it can post photos for artistsWhen I try to add a photo - it cuts most of it offDue to work obligations I waited but proceeded three months later to build the website and get helpGodaddy says that I have to edit each photo to size before uploading it but could not tell me the size only the pixelUpon changing the pixel outside of the software it made the picture quality and or size all wrongUpon asking for assistance - they were unable to help
In other words they advertised a simple software that cannot be used for artists even though their website advertises to artists

Four days ago, my website domain name '***' was transferred out of the account '***' to anther account
I received an email which at the bottom stated 'If you would like to reverse these changes, please email [email protected]'
Within hours, I sent an email to [email protected] informing them that I would like to reverse these changes, and I want the domain sent back to the old account '***'
The following day, I received a canned response from the GoDaddy undo department, advising me that 'It appears you entered into a third party agreement regarding the domain name(s), and nothing could be done furtherTHIS IS FALSE I never mentioned anything about a third party agreement so they just made this up per their canned response - probably pasting this message to every single email
This is UNACCEPTABLE, as the email clearly stated that if I wanted the reversal done, I would have every right to do so simply by emailing them What also ma

So I have been working with GoDaddy for a month getting a new website developedI call and ask for a status update I hear nothing for days (no call back when any other time I get a call the same day) and then I get an "email" from the developer I was working with telling me she is "not going to start building" the site until she has "everything"In over emails I sent everything that was requested and even more when it was requestedSO now I have to wait WEEKS more (OR FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS AND FIGHT TO GET MY MONEY BACK FROM GODADDY) to get the siteIn the meantime, they are about to get paid a second time and HAVE NOT CREATED OR EVEN STARTED! IN WEEKS THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING FOR ALL THE MONEY I PAID TO THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have paid them OVER $2,AND THEY HAVE NOT DONE A THING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS WAS THE WORST DECISION I COULD HAVE EVER MADE!!!!!

this company pushed into my cart a item that I have no use for and refuse to refund
I have never approved the payment of this item

On 2/I saw on my credit card account (ends in 001) a charge for $from Godaddy dated 1/I called the GoDaddy Customer Service number and was told that this was a monthly maintenance fee for a web site called *** I have never heard of this website beforeI was further told that this was an ongoing maintenance fee that had been charged to my credit card account since August of I disputed thatRather than give me an immediate credit the representative told me to call my credit card company American ExpressI did, asked them to dispute the charge, and had them verify that no other monthly charges have been billed to my accountThe representative said he could only refund the $within two days of a billing; frankly, this refund policy, particularly when the charge is erroneous, is outrageousMost people, including me, do not look at their credit card on a daily basisI believe GoDaddy at best is guilty of poor customer service by providing erroneous

Two years ago, I had a domain name of (***) with go daddyThey took my renew payment of out of my atm/debit card, which caused my account to be hit with overdraft fees at the bankI called go daddy to complain about what happened and they did not assist me in resolving the issuesI told the representative that go daddy should at least warn their customer when their going to put a charge through the bank to give me time to deposit money into the accountWhen I called the bank to reverse the charges because I did not authorize go daddy to take the funds at that timeGo daddy turned around and tried to put additional fees on my account which made the billing issues worsego daddy has been holding my domain name for ransom for the past two years and will not release it back to the registrar to be hosted by another companyI do not want go daddy to host this account anymorebut like I said their holding it for ransom until I pay the entire debt that t

Godaddy mistakenly charged my credit card instead of using in-store credit, then charge me admin fees, not only that they are not making any sense to delete my email box *** that I used for a long time for the error they made and lying saying cancelled my domain, they actually hid it and not let me to access the DNS zone file and charge me for admin fees
