To whom it may concern:
I have been a loyal customer of GoDaddy.com for a number of yearsThey have recently charged my credit card for a service that has no value to me and I did not request to purchaseAfter numerous requests for a refund and contact from an attorney, they have refused to return the feePer their representatives, they have a policy to charge customers regardless of whether they have written or verbal confirmation
It's unacceptable for a company to trick customers into continuing to pay for a service they don't need and didn't consent to pay forHaving a policy to send a commitment to purchase a service and charging a customer without having explicit confirmation should not be legalI did not benefit from their product or actively use itTheir policy cheats their customers out of their hard earned money and profits in a deceiving and dishonest manner
Consumers should be protected from such business practices and I would like help from this agency

advertising by Godaddy They do not honor their advertised prices
Recently I was prompted by a godaddy ad to purchase domain names for $ I happened to need a couple, so I took the bait Each search I did from the goddaddy domain name search page said I could have this or that particular domain for $ I understood this to be for $the first year only, (not my dispute, though they keep trying to frame that point as my dispute)
I spent a considerable amount of time ~hr, searching for suitable domain names that qualified for the $ Each time I clicked to send to the cart, it confirmed my $price Then when I went to go checkout, I could not purchase any of the domains for the $price, as advertised, instead a wooping 400% markup from what was just confirmed before
I contacted godaddy sales, and they would not honor the advertised price, even though I had screenshots (and still do) of what was advertised, what was confirmed, and what they would not ho

Godaddy was the company I purchased my domain name fromUnfortunately, the domain expired and the contact info they had was not correct so I did not get the proper notifications to renew the domain
The domain expired on 03-02-2018, and was originally parked for expiration notification on 03-07-as DNS history trace showsOn 03-08-2018, the DNS was restored to my hosting provider, allowing my site to function and email to remain workingThis remained pointed at my host until 04-05-2018, when the domain was sold at auction to another personAt that time, my DNS for my domain was interrupted, triggering my monitoring to alert, and my email to that domain to stop workingUpon calling Godaddy they informed me on that date, that the domain had already been sold at auction to another party
However, Per ICANN policy, which in GoDaddy's terms of service they claim to follow, specifically section Post-Expiration Renewal, subsection 2.2.2, ICANN accredited registrars are require

I called Godaddy and nobody is able to help me with my issue and due to this im losing thousands of dollars a day , customer services answer is the cant help me and cant do nothing I have sent the the problem wich is in godaddy server I send proof backing this up 100% I even have recodings of how ignorant are the customer service

This couses practices designed to encourage loss of service to customers so that they can extort "recovery fees."
They then demand month payments for restoration of website when they know that their own policies allow for mohosting plus the $ransom payment for each site to restore sites to live active online status
They deliberately fail to provide proper notice to site / domain name owner when the customer's site is down due to billing issue such as credit card neededNo phone call, no clear email messageThey camouflage email notices with promotional offer messages and many other notices so the customer is not alerted to the urgent matter of their site being scheduled for "removal" and ZERO NOTICE AFTER SITE IS ACTUALLY "REMOVED."
They take actions that they themselves "puts you out of business." until they collect your ransomWhen you call to complain or dispute their lies and hostile actions, they do not allow you to speak with supervisors and refuse to answer

I was registered in August and purchased a number of domain names in GoDaddy.comIn May of this year I sold domain names, in June 16, I received their mail that the auction has been paid, totaling $But to this day I still haven't received the moneyDuring the period, I sent them a lot of mail, and asked them to provide payment credentialsThey refused to offerOnly to the beginning of October, they said my auction was frozen by OFACThen [email protected] sent me a OFAC link to let me fill inMy English is not very good, when filling in the relevant information, such as: Financial Blocked Funds,Remitter,Remitting Financial Institution, and so I do not know these content, I asked them to the informationThey also refused to provideI had to through their own grasp of the part of the information and query website, complete and submitted to the OFAC, and do not know whether it is completely correctBut it has been more than a month, and during this period I s

This company kept my credit card information and automatically used it (charging me) for a service I transferred over to another partyThis went on for yearsEven after my credit card expired, they had the bank automatically renew the credit card without my knowledge
I never received renewal notices, I never received information because I had transferred to account to someone else
In speaking to the company, they say there is "NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT." They say they have a DAY CANCELLATION policyThey are not even willing to give me a credit with the company

I contacted Go Daddy explaining that we were charged $for web domains we did not know we had by automatic renewal through our operating bank account last monthThe previous director of our chamber signed an agreement in for these domains with a year renewThat person left our organization years ago so we had no way of knowing about this agreementThe lady signing our chamber up for this agreement was Traci Norton, and the cr is ***Receipt number is *** for $We have cancelled these domains today and updated the previous director with my contact informationI am disappointed that Go Daddy would not work with us after such a long agreement that was paid in advanceI do not want our small town non profit paying for an unused domain for the next yearsI am asking that Go Daddy refund the *** *** ** *** $Thank you

Outrageous misuse of our credit card and auto billingPurchased a standard SSL certificate$for yearsIt was automatically renewed with a 439% increaseThe billing was for $for three years without any notification

GoDaddy sends e-mails saying it will automatically renew at a certain price per yearHowever, when the date comes, GoDaddy automatically charges for two yearsWhen I log in, the only choice is to auto renew or notIt does not give a choice of number of years or warn that the default is two yearsAlso, despite all the advanced technology at GoDaddy's disposal, it maintains that once charged, it is impossible to changeIt cannot refund for one year nor change the length of my termI feel they are being intentionally deceptive and saying they are unable to make changes to my term are ludicrous

I was billed for year renewal of registration for a domain nameAfter payment and acceptance, I transfered the name to another registrarAfter transfer, the year did not transfer with the nameGoDaddy is now refusing to provide the year that was paid for and refusing to refund the money paid

I've bought services from godaddy to host my websiteAfter three weeks time, I started to experience significant slow-down of the site, it started to crash/be offline, which in communicating with them, it was recommended to buy more servicesAfter buying those services, the site continued to crash and be offline, and more services were recommended by godaddythe site continues to be slow, crash, and pornographic material has been shown in its placeThis has caused us additional IT support a number of days of the site being down , when I have approached godaddy for resolution or accommodation comparable to the expense that I have encountered for their faulty services, they refused to do so and provide me with contactinfo related to their customer service manager

The WORST! I have used Godaddy since for multiple domains and will be transferring my domain elsewhereAt first, they seem user friendly and reliable since they offer services for less than the competitorsMost people fall for lower fees but in reality, Godaddy makes most of their income thru other services that you do not need or even requestThey will charge you for fees that are unnecessary and they are very shady about incorporating themThey never refund me; instead, they give me a "credit" to use with themAs of this time of writing this, they have Negative and Positive Reviews

Had the domain *** for yearsThis domain was renewed when I renewed *** - They sent me an email saying my domain is canceledOnly one and now I can't get it backI have been a customer for yearsThis is an error and they need to fix this problem immediatelyIf not, I will be going to court because I know for a fact this domain was renewed

GoDaddy.com has been charging my credit card for a monthly (auto renewed) subscription of $since without my consentI do not own or have a web domainI do not even know what this isThis website apparently hasn’t even been up and running for over a yearI called Godaddy.com and they said they could not help meThe transaction did not look fraudulentThey were not very helpful and the man I spoke with was very rude

After 10+ years of paying for service, GoDaddy changed my permissions to my folders on my website WITHOUT my knowledge I am a web Developer and now my customers are down I was on the line for hours and still cannot get my clients websites online GoDaddy's customer service is a total waste of time After many years of payment GoDaddy doesn't care about the customers, they only care about the money they get each month
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Use any other company
I WILL be suing them for breach of ToS

I contacted Go Daddy in October for my business needs, I paid for a website in OctoberMy account was charged again for a website that I did not authorizeI made it clear that I only needed one account and broke down the charges to the sales person on the phone during our initial callI was assured that I would be charged $annually and $monthly and no more
When I told them that I never authorized them to charge me twice and that brought to their attention that they had been charging me since OctoberTheir explanation was it was my fault and they will not refund my moneyI have contacted my bank and notified them and filed a police report

This is the second time this year their system failed and my email wasn't working properly Beyond my control and technical difficulties that cost me a jobYep a job that pays my bills because I wasn't getting my emails on time or at allI will be pulling my account and domain tomorrowI honesty won't bother to say anything because the company is so big,, and my account was so small, that it dosent really matter to themI will get the run around like beforeFirst time it happened was after I renewed my domain, but my website was still taken down, and my email was never put back on either, even after I called inIt cost me a lot then tooInexcusable when we rely so much on email to be accurate and consistent

In July 2016, I purchased a year web hosting plan for my wordpress website In May 2017, I added a year SSL plan In May 2018, GoDaddy parked my domain for no reason, which took down my entire site It took phone calls and 16+ hours to bring my website back up In that time, I lost ad revenue, affiliate income, and all my social proof I worked hard over the years to achieve
When I moved to a new, more reliable and supportive hosting company, I requested a pro-rated refund for the remaining years of hosting and year of SSL I was told it is their policy not to provide any refunds It took hours for me to research their refund policy to find that you have days from initial purchase to receive a refund for future services
So, as it sits, I'm out roughly $because GoDaddy apparently believes they can retain money for future services just because you don't have issues within days? I'm still trying to figure out how they can keep money for services that wil

We have aacquired a company and called godaddy to update their records about the acquisition and moved the account to the parent company with all the informationGodaddy charged the account for year renewal and was charged to the seller company without our consent either by email or phone, solely by their discretionWhen called they say as per initial term we have right to renew the same periodBut when questioned about us calling and informing Godaddy about the acquisition, they say it is our responsibility to check the account fequently for charges, These charges were charged to the seller company and we have no information for the sameThey say it is beyond days so we cannot refund the moneyits huge amount they have charged the account renewing all the services for year periodwhich we do not need it
