I moved a few domains to a new account, and it didn't disclose in the help article that private registration would not transfer over
I called customer support and both the rep and supervisor were extremely rude and condescendingThey told me that there was a disclaimer about private registration, despite me having the help article open and searching for the word 'privacy' and 'private' with no results
I asked them to either refund the private registration fee or provide private registration in the new account for freeIf they refused I'd just do a chargebackI was told that if I did a chargeback for the cost of the private registration, GoDaddy would retaliate by revoking my ownership of the domains
Will be moving to a new registrar when this is up for renewalYour reps need training

I purchased a domain name in February 2016, for a full year In August 2016, my GoDaddy account was hacked and the hacker canceled my domain, then changed the email address on the account so I would not receive information on the cancellation
I discovered the issue, when my website was "turned off" Even though I purchased the domain for a year, GoDaddy would not activate it without me paying, again, for the same domain They also did not care that I was the victim of a fraud/hack that occurred on their site and failed to resolve the situation

Chad D or GIn the Arizona Call center was extremely disrespectful when discussing a matter with him on the phoneHe told me I didn't make sense and if I made sense to him, he would resolve my issueHis nonchalant attitude and borderline insulting tone is unprofessional and gave me my second negative experienceThe first was when my rep fraudulently charged my card with our my consent and upgraded me to website builderI received my money back however, morally and ethically that was wrong

Have a server plan with this company and have had nothing but issues I spent days addressing issues last weekend which they refused to address Supervisors would not get on the phone to assist other than thru another party to offer discounts due to the issues that are still to be resolved I have emailed my primary contact and still have not heard back from them I emailed sales, support, webmaster and anyone/everyone that I could along with phone calls I also have an open ticket for unresolved portion of the issues that still exist today

When going with go Daddy I didnt realize that if I dont pay the extra fee that means that they are going to sell my information and I am going to get a buch of calls from scam companiesThis is ridiculous

I had domains registered with GoDaddy.comI have been a customer there since Recently, I switched them to auto-renewSomehow, and unbeknownst to me, one of them, ***.com, was put on a 3-year renewal
When I got the receipt, it was for $78.85, not the $I’d expected
The receipt was dated 01/22/The next day, I used GoDaddy’s chat to inquire and protest the amount billedDuring the chat I was informed the company has a policy that will not let 3-year renewals be reverted back to 1-yearThe representative stated the only way I could get a refund would be to delete the domain
GoDaddy’s refund policy states:
Products purchased from GoDaddy.com, LLC may be refunded only if cancelled within the following timeframe:
Annual Plans+ - Within days of the date of the transaction
I preferred not to do any further business with GoDaddy so, not only did I delete that domain, I transferred all domains to another registrar
I was well within the days so I i

GoDaddy deceptively forced me to sign up for their auction programI did not want this nor did I ever use itWhen I called them they refused to remove the credit
This practice of silently signing up people for things they never use is deceptive and needs to stop

I believe there is deceptive business practicesI was quoted a price by a rep that appeared to be very informedI told the rep I would compare the price with another company and call backWhen I called back I asked for a managerThe rep refused to put a manager on the line & demanded that I allow him to help meAfter he assured me there was nothing else he could do to help & tried to discourage me from speaking with a managerI finally was allowed to speak with someone who identified himself as a B managerWhen I asked what that meant he just said he was a managerHis name was JasonHe then repeated what the previous rep statedI explained to him what the first rep quoted me and pointed out that the difference between percent and percent can not be dollarsI asked to speak with the original rep I had spoken to and was deniedIt’s very deceptive when you mislead a customer

On 8/13/placed order for a domain to be used as a forwarding to a web site it never set up correctly it says have days to request refund have tried since 8/16/to reach by phone as you have to phone in request for refundHave tried to reach repeatedly early evening mornings even 3am have used call back option am placed on hold every time for over an hour even using the call back option am placed on holdThis is not a company that uses fair business practices or provides any customer service that is reachable to help with customer related problems I would like a refund to my discover card for $and the domain and auto-renewal canceled I have tried to do this but cannot The domain is financialsuccessday.com Thank you for any help you can provide

On 4/18/I phoned godaddy to ask about their servicesI was sold a package of services I now understand consisted of domain name transfer, email address to match my domain name, and use of email marketingAfter the purchase, I had trouble using Godaddy's email building softwareI didn't understand that I had to take specific action to transfer my domain name to godaddyI phoned godaddy to verify the time period I had to cancel my servicesUnfortunately I misunderstood the time periodMy credit card had been charged on 4/19/and I called on 5/20/to cancel the godaddy services I had purchased but not used during that periodGodaddy confirmed the domain name hadn't transferredA supervisor gave me a refund of $for the portion of my payment that related to the domain name transferHe didn't explain to me that the "email essentials" package couldn't be activated without the domain name transfer, and therefore my $purchase is useless without the $purchaseI

I have used GoDaddy.com and have been a proud and loyal customer for many years while having spent thousands of dollars with themI am very frustrated by the lack of care and professionalism displayed by this company in this past week costing me time, money and energyAs I'm on a fixed income and on full disability as per the order of the Social Security JudgeI'm dealing with a severe medical condition needing undivided and pressing attention by my doctorsAlong the way, since the beginning of 2018, I have always paid and renewed on time my domain name with GoDaddy for my website, paid for search engine visibility, website privacy and even more products I just purchased with them this past weekendI truly have loved my relationship with GoDaddy and have felt as they have had my back in the past as my website hosting (and other products I have with them) company
Now the bad newsAs I'm dealing with my disability/medical issues the past several months, evidently my credit

Go Daddy renewed a hosting product for 2x the original price on a personal debit card that had expired My web tech and I have called GoDaddy several times after the charge occurred and was referred to my bank The bank has referred me back to GoDaddy each time because it is a vendor dispute

Hello, I bought a domain name from Godaddy on Dec30, I selected the registration through Facebook, in which I thought I was only just signing up to get an account with itI ran into issues because my official Hosting Company needed to validate my company information before my company receives it's Extended ValidationBut when they looked in the "Who Is" which is a website verification site, my Facebook email address came up as the register and along with my name, BUT when I brought the product from Godaddy, I entered my company address, my name, my Organization Name and company phone numberBut Godaddy ignored what I put and put my companie's name, which is a Limited Liability Corporation All of this happened because Godaddy fail to tell companies that they SHOULD NOT use a Facebook Account as login in information
I tried to correct this with Godday different times and still nothing has changedI was told earlier in the week to go into my Godaddy Profile and update

I'm a client of GoDaddy (GD) for years now and I have acquired several domains and services in the past from GDRecently I bought a new domain and with less then hours, I started to receive emails from logo makers, web developers, website marketeers etcthe new domain is public, however for spammers to get to know about the new domain and check the WHOIS in less then hours, this makes me think GD is either selling this info to third parties or dumping the info somewhere for people to benefitGD is contributing for people to get SPAMMED

After canceling my hosting plan they still charged me $for something I haven't been usingthen the lady I talked to said yes she totally understand but it is too late to issue me a refundi asked or store credit at least and she said that she can'tafter asking to speak to the manager she came back and told me the manager is offering me $in store credit! I asked$instead of $you took from me? doesn't sound like a fair deal

I have all of my domain names registered with GodaddyWhen it is time to renew, they do not tell you the number of years that you are renewing for, It is not put into the email they send youIt is not available on their web siteIf you have automatic renewal, they bill you for as many years as they want and then tell you that you can not lower the number of yearsAVOID doing business with themThey are sleazy, dishonest and not forthcomingAny honest business would tell you the total they are selling you when they send you a renewal reminderAn honest business would also display the number of years of renewal with the domain name information and make it easy to changeNOTE: There are almost complaints against them and take warningDO NOT do business with themThey are a rip off Why they have an A+ rating with the Revdex.com is beyond my comprehension

I had disabled the discussion and comments function on my websiteI had no idea that it had been enabled at a later time (exactly how and when I do not know)Pornographers and other adult content had flooded my comments section which I only recently discovered was visible by visitors to my siteThis sickened me for, for years I had been targeted as a forced recruit by pornographers also involved in prostitutionI did everything in my power to report of these individuals and their activities to law enforcement officialsGoDaddy did remove the offensive content and again, disabled the comments section on my websiteThey would be providing a far greater service to their customers and to the community at large if they ceased hosting pornography websites altogether

The GoDaddy Technical team is not showing interest to restore my cPanel Account from the Full backup from my sideThey don't give the option to restore it from the customer's end they tell to contact the support to do the sameBut while contacting, they are not doing it for me saying they don't have the resourcesThis costs me more day by day and my bills are getting higherThis is not resolved for many daysThe backup is in the file directory

While employed at a previous company I had paid for a SSL certificate for a web siteWithout informing me GoDaddy retained my credit card information and then charged me a renewal of $without my consentI contacted GoDaddy and they said without the account information they could not refund the moneyBecause I no longer work for the company involved I do not have that account information and GoDaddy will not release that informationHowever they did bill my credit cardI have numerous emails to/from GoDaddy in an effort to resolveMy final conversation was with a Dan W on 2/1/at about pm Eastern who told me there was nothing he could do

I do not need to sign on to my Go Daddy (my web hosting company) account frequentlyHowever, whenever I do (perhaps once every six months or so) my customer ID # and password do not workNaturally, I've thought I was responsible then, I realized what they were doingThey want their customers to call them, their sales persons (tech support and sales are one and the same) in order, not only to reset the password (which actually really was correct) but, this gives them a one-one-one sales opportunityIn order to identify the caller during the initial automated phone call process they ask the customer for the last digits of their credit cardThis is so the customer has the credit card in hand at the time of the phone callI have tried to sign onto various analytics and web browsing tools and search functions and they can never identify me as the owner of my site because Go Daddy does not recognize my customer ID# or passwordWhat they are aggressively after is for the customer to call them then and get them to purchase their very expensive SEO services, or other products
