On December 22, I renewed (2) email accounts from GoDaddy's website On January 24, I viewed my credit card statement and noticed a large amount charged from GoDaddy I logged into my GoDaddy account and viewed the receipt and there were the following extra charges:
Mini Online Storage Renewal $
Personal Calendar Renewal $
Group Calendar Renewal $
Personal Calendar Renewal $
Personal Calendar Renewal $
Since opening a GoDaddy account in 2006, I have never ordered or used these services When completing the order on December 22, 2016, I did not select or authorize these services
On January 24, I called GoDaddy's customer support line and spoke with an agent concerning these charges He was aware that I had not ordered them but customer support agent did not have the ability to refund charges Because it had been > thirty days a credit for future purchases could not be applied to the account
Godaddy.com failed to notify me about the upcoming expiration of my domain name on Dec29th 2016, or that the domain name had expiredStrangely enough, the domain name wasn't suppose to expire for another yearsI had picked up this particular domain name about a year priorThe only explanation that makes any sense are the events proceeding the time when my identity was stolenMultiple charges were made on my Godaddy account, and Godaddy proceeded to remove valid purchases as well as invalid purchases from my account
This resulted in me losing access to products I actually paid for as well as the cancellation of my web hosting service for another domain nameAfter contacting www.godaddy.com customer support MULTIPLE times regarding the issue surrounding my identity theft and the random purchases made on my account, I was ultimately brushed aside
Considering the fact that I didn't have the time, nor the money to battle this out with www.godaddy.com customer support, I ha
I was charged $for a service I never used or signed up forWhen I called Godaddy to have the charge removed they told me that they had a two day!! cancellation policy on features they offer for trial and because I called two weeks later I would not receive a refundThe customer service was very bad and the manager was rudeI want my refund because I did not sign up for the service and never used itI only called two weeks later because I saw it on my credit card statement
Today, 01-20-at 12:PM every product I have with Godaddy stopped working due to an expired SSL certificate for their cpanel ***
I have spent over hours on the line being transferred from department to department being told that it would be an additional $for me to use a service is that is paid through 11-Godaddy has violated their 99.9% service uptime guarantee and when I ask to speak to a manager I get my call put back into the endless call queue just to speak to another rep
I believe discount email coupons Go Daddy sends to present customers, such as myself are misleading and induce customers to renew without Go Daddy applying the discount invoking similarity to a bait and switch paradigm I believe I was mislead based on my discussions with the customer service representative on August 29, when I renewed believing the 30% discount would be applied when I renewed this evening 9/24/before the 9/25/expirationGo Daddy refused to apply any of the email discounts upon renewal despite my discussions with the customer service representatives and supervisor ***I believe this bad faith issue needs to be brought to the attention of the news media, social media and the FTC, as well as other governmental agencies
I had requested godaddy years ago to shut down the account in question *** and they said I was already months into contract and could not get a refund of the difference like they used to do before godaddy was bought over

Dear Dispute Resolution Consultant,

Hello
I had a old account which had domain hosted through Godaddy.com and I totally forgot about itIt used for one of my old clientsSuddenly I saw a charge in my credit and I checked with Godaddy and they digged and found it's old account under my name and it had domain with auto renewalMy card was there but fortunately it's expiredThey charged my old expired card for the auto renewalHow can they charge my old card with expired date and addresssThat's in correct and I tried to tell them that account is old and refundThey refused it
Account #***
I just find out, They were automatically charge my credit card every month for years, those options I didn't signed up for itGo to check your account under Renewal and Billing, Cancel everything you didn't sign up for it
I went to this website to start a web site There were only two ways to do it One was a web builder and one was a word press...there were no demos on what was involved in building each..You had to pay and get charged...and take your chances I was charged because I needed to get this website done When I started, this service was IMPOSSIBLE to use...nothing was intuitive and all of it was confusing I simply tried to make it work for a couple of hours I am an academic librarian and if I can't use it, my students can't I want a refund Simple as that
1) I had domain names, which I did not authorize payment for renewal and with no website or website builder ever orderedI did not provide an additional credit card even for the names to renewI was contacted by Go Daddy and I told them I did NOT want those domainsThe rep merged the domain account with an active account and without my consent charged me for 1) website builder, that I never ever ordered, and also charged me for a renewal for domains that I had requested to cancelI did not authorize verbally or in writing and also NOT set on auto renewal, Yet I was charged on the the domain to my bank accountThe charge for the website build due back is $and $for the domain namesGo daddy said they had processed the domain refund, but No re-fund was credited to my bank accountThe $ un-authorized charge for the names need to be RefundedI have other website so you would think they would be motivated to resolve this issue
If you receive a call to upgrade to the Go Daddy Go Central "DON'T DO IT" It's an offer for a special price extension, with the promise of new and great web hosting with a easy way to promote your web siteAfterwards, there is no access to your site, No return emails, Just unlimited "on hold" phone support
Go Daddy automatically requires domain names to auto-renewThe website makes it impossible to remove your credit card information from the site, even if you have cancelled the serviceWhen you try to select "delete payment method" the system claims that the payment method is still associated with a domain that is auto-renewing, even if you have cancelled auto renewIt will only allow you to replace with another payment method, not erase your credit card informationWhen I requested a refund, I was told that I had to respond within daysI had complained within business days, but apparently Go Daddy counts weekends as days
We purchase a VPS instance This allows us to remote into a desktop This instance broke and we were unable to remote into a desktop We called to Godaddy and was told "YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN" This is abreak on their side and we took the video NO help even after showing the video

I attempted to send an Email on the evening of Sunday July at about 5:30pm Mountain timeThe service said that I had a corrupted email account and I would have to upgradeThe CSR told me that I had to pay more than $to upgrade my email accountI asked how that was possible and the CSR responded by telling me that I had to pay through the year I argued that having to pay through the end of the decade was ridiculous and after much discussion I was told that I could pay a little less than $per month and my email would be restoredThis was good enoughI accepted the arrangement gladly and was told that my email would be back up in about minutesMore than four hours later (10:30pm) not only was my email not working but none of my passwords or accounts could be logged intoAt this point I have spent more money for more service and I am receiving no serviceI have had a terrible time with this companyIt is a source of stress and it is now costing in terms of effor
I have a number of URLs registered through GoDaddy
I set one -- *** -- not to auto renewand it just did
GoDaddy may say that the auto renewal date was Aug and because I updated the credit card number for my other URLs after August 9, they had a right to go back and claim itThis strikes me as really poor business form -- compounded by how hard it is to interact with Goddady, who locked me out of my account without great explanation and who only take customer service inquiries by phone
I will not receive a phone call but only written communication regarding this case
Although I received correspondence from the Revdex.com regarding my recently purchased, ***, and complaint #***, the provided response from GoDaddy to the Revdex.com stated, "If our customer is still interested in owning the domain they would need to reach out to the current Registrant found on the public WHOIS: who.godaddy.com or they may be interested in GoDaddy’s Domain Buy Service: https://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-broker.aspx."
This new complaint alleges that GoDaddy's suggested resolution to my initial complaint is to either contact the current registrant, which is GoDaddy, or to pay GoDaddy additional fees to act as a broker for my originally purchased URL
This offered resolution is insulting and unethical business practices
It has come to our attention that GoDaddy has double-billed for website hosting services since 9/From 7/2015-9/the hosting service was transferred to another company, but returned to GoDaddy in 9/Despite a two month period where our website was inaccessible, we were billed for each month during this period
After reinstating service on 9/18, the company begins billing each month in addition to each month
We spoke with them today, and they have agreed to stop billing the monthly charge that is in errorHowever, they have refused to address the previous fees that have been collected, as they state that their policy is to only allow a 5-day window for disputes related to billingThis is surprising, considering they have agreed that it is an error and that the service is not now or has it ever been in useThey admit that the services being billed for are tied to a website that does not exist
Company states that it does no matter
I started by trying to upgrade my company site for better performanceThe goal was to get switched from me current godaddy server to a better oneGoDaddy and their it techs managed to:
Shut down our email for HoursWe lost all those emails
Shut down our site twice for hours and counting
No person you speak to at Godaddy acts like they care
Waste hours of my time
When it was all sad and done, the new server had negligible impact on the performance
As a business owner, I have many better things to doUsing Godaddy is a bad business decisionI am now starting my search on how to get away from godaddyIf you are considering using GoDaddy - STOPUse anyone else
