On February I called to buy two domains and was encouraged by the sales person to buy a few more "bulk" domainsThe totals I agreed to were for $1,and $When I checked my checking account the next day there were additional charges for $and $that I didn't authorizeThat same day my checking account was hackedWhen I called Godaddy they said the latter amounts were purchased online, however, I nor my partner went online and made purchasesThe person I spoke with went all purchases, deleted more domains that did not have to be bought in bulk like the sales person had mentioned, and agreed the refund would be $1,When I checked my account today I still had not received a credit to my accountI called and they said a portion of the refunds had been made but my bank is showing no attemptsAlso, now they are renigging on the $and $refunds even though Seren O*** with the company included these amounts in the refund last week
On Feb I went to godaddy.com to host a websiteThey were doing $domain name special I was asked to put my company name to see if it was available, which it wasafter the process I was asked to pay for a yearly billing instead of monthlyso I cancelled the transaction My company was Registered last year with new york county clerk office and the company name is *** *** Now t's been stolen by godaddy and they asking me to pay $for it
I called them before filing this complain and still they insist I payThis company is a fraudPlease do not by to their idea of $special , it's a way of them stealing your idea while they profit from it
I attempted to send an Email on the evening of Sunday July at about 5:30pm Mountain timeThe service said that I had a corrupted email account and I would have to upgradeThe CSR told me that I had to pay more than $to upgrade my email accountI asked how that was possible and the CSR responded by telling me that I had to pay through the year I argued that having to pay through the end of the decade was ridiculous and after much discussion I was told that I could pay a little less than $per month and my email would be restoredThis was good enoughI accepted the arrangement gladly and was told that my email would be back up in about minutesMore than four hours later (10:30pm) not only was my email not working but none of my passwords or accounts could be logged intoAt this point I have spent more money for more service and I am receiving no serviceI have had a terrible time with this companyIt is a source of stress and it is now costing in terms of effor
On Dec 9th I paid Go Daddy $to build a web site for my company "*** *** *** ***"
They basically just cut and pasted over my existing website
In January I requested a refund because they were not truthful nor were they responding back with my previous concerns
they claimed they could only refund me 2/of my payment
I then requested a supervisor and was told that they would upgrade me to a better website and I would be very impressed
I supplied them with the items that needed to be on this new website over a month ago and nothing has been done nor was there any follow up
A phone called was made last week and they are refusing any type of refund and they are claiming they spent a lot of time, when in fact NOTHING has been done
Godaddy's website will not work to install anything on our hosting plan, such as wordpress or other apps - citing "Bad request"
When I attempted to contact through the help-chat, they tried to sell me hundreds of dollars of website design and finally said they couldn't help me(***)
In our business the time that this takes costs moneyWe are paying someone right now to sell products off a site that godaddy cannot get running to the standards we have paid for
We accuse Godaddy.com of fraudulent business collection practices after termination of services under Federal Law
Due to poor service & seemingly advertisement for renewal, Our Godaddy website (www.ward12democrats.org) & domain services were fully cancelled and not renewed before its contract ended on February 4,
We continued to get multiple Godaddy renewal notices after cancellation and was no longer able to use Godaddy services due to Godaddy shutting down the account at our request including the site and domain
On or about Feb2, after receiving another renewal notice we called Godaddy to reiterate our desire to cancel all services with them and declined Godaddy's renewal offer to continue any further services with Godaddy
We received a single notice from Godaddy stating that they billed our credit card $after they have shut down our website, and where no renewal offer to continue services was accepted by us and without our author
Warning to all #Godaddy future customers: #GoDaddy continues to disappoint me and many other small business owners I’ve talked toThis message is to warn you to beware! #Godaddy still does nothing to make amends with customers they mess over thru mistakes or employee errorsI plan to find a way to stop utilizing #Godaddy services when I can do it without negatively impacting my business and my customers/clients#Godaddy’s mistakes are extremely costly after years of my company paying money to them for the privilege of continued abuse and/or poor expensive serviceThe latest poor #Godaddy service is the fact that my website (***), after paying for a secure SSL, has been sending my visitors a message saying “my site is a threat to steal the customer's informationGo back to safety or advance at your own risk!” THIS WAS HORRIFYING! The site eventually worked within the 72-hours they said it would take to fix itOver the last few months, I have had people and companies mysteriously block my company (Scholarship Leadership Institute; aka SLI) b/c of this crazy spam message! I have sent out email campaigns to over potential customers twice w/extremely poor resultsI have made bids on contracts for $17,000,and they went to the siteI'm saddened that these potential clients/customers probably saw that spam pageLastly, I purchased specialty ink pensI couldn't add "https://” to the URL due to space limitations so I added "www" thinking it would still default to my secure website, as I was toldTo my shock and horror, the vendors (i.e., ***, ***, **, ***, ***, etc.) from the recent conference I attended in Austin were probably also sent to the spam page! This is unacceptable! Then I got a response from #Godaddy during the call indicating they see the problem and planned to expedite the matterThey promised to send me an email when the problem is resolvedIf I could come up with a value of "business loss" to sue #Godaddy for, I wouldBut I'm too frustrated to even deal with #Godaddy right now#Godaddy made no attempt to give me any compensation for my troubles, mistreatment, etc., or knock off anything from my expensive SSL bill for services that I didn’t even have unless people typed “https://“So they eventually fixed my SSL certificate correctly like they should have done months ago, while not compensating me or doing anything to make me feel like they value me as a customerI'm not happy with their service so I plan to share my dissatisfaction via email, social media, and on stages all over AmericaThis is no way to treat their valued customers who exclusively use their company and I told them as muchIt’s gonna take a while, but I will eventually find other companies who won’t take me and other small businesses for granted! I don’t know how much money I have lost over the last few months due to #Godaddy but I will spend the rest of my time on the planet letting people know about my experience with #GodaddyIf they haven’t made the mistake of using #Godaddy for emails, domain, or website services, I will advise them to RUN! #Godaddy is not the company you think they are AND they take business owners like me for grantedEnough is enough! They still haven’t told me the results of what happened or if can happen againI’ve wasted money running *** Ads, email campaigns, etcand they haven’t even apologized for what they did to my business! I wrote most of this on a #Godaddy email survey after my call complaining about the SSL issue and haven’t heard back from them at allI’m not sure why I expected it, but #Godaddy will continue to hear from me until they do right by me and my companyI promise to warn as many businesses as possible about my experience and poor #Godaddy customer service experienceI gave them a 1-rating b/c I don't know how to leave a 0-ratingIf they respond to this and say they have reached out to me, they will be lying! I've checked my spam, overflow, etcemailNOTHING FROM GODADDY even after they promised to contact meCrappy customer service!
I would like to make a statement in regards to Go Daddy's business practicesI was a customer from until when our website was abruptly closed by go daddy with very little explanationWe always paid up front for the servicesWe were ignored and we then created a new website ourselvesIn my credit card showed that a transaction was put through with go daddy and they are very hard to get a hold of and when I did speak with salesperson or account person they gave me the run aroundI contacted my credit card company to put a stop on any transactions from go daddyThere was a second transaction tried by go daddy and they sent me a e-mailed note that this payment did not go throughI phoned them back again and asked what am I paying for in the first placeI have not used go daddy for a couple of yearsI demanded a statement from them again and that was finally sent to meVery bad business practices
If you receive a call to upgrade to the Go Daddy Go Central "DON'T DO IT" It's an offer for a special price extension, with the promise of new and great web hosting with a easy way to promote your web siteAfterwards, there is no access to your site, No return emails, Just unlimited "on hold" phone support
Unless you purchase their “privacy” product which they charge you monthly product for they will sell your email to everyone, I literally have my email, and cell phone flooded overnight with “offers” sales pitches, was even included in some ridiculous chain email who no person knew who the other people wereMany of the sites with “offers” when trying to unsubscribe showed a MalWare warningGreat job strong arming your customersHorrible customer service and protections, the chat person told me I have to but their privacy for it to take place in 2-weeksNo where on the site does it say anything about this and further more, this was after my 3rd domain purchase in over years, this purchase is the only one I had this problem with so they have certainly changed the way they do business
Although I received correspondence from the Revdex.com regarding my recently purchased, ***, and complaint #***, the provided response from GoDaddy to the Revdex.com stated, "If our customer is still interested in owning the domain they would need to reach out to the current Registrant found on the public WHOIS: who.godaddy.com or they may be interested in GoDaddy’s Domain Buy Service: https://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-broker.aspx."
This new complaint alleges that GoDaddy's suggested resolution to my initial complaint is to either contact the current registrant, which is GoDaddy, or to pay GoDaddy additional fees to act as a broker for my originally purchased URL
This offered resolution is insulting and unethical business practices
