Hello!
I was told in the clearest terms that I could cancel my multi-year contract at anytime for a full refund to my credit card
When I actually made the cancellation, I was informed that the refund would only be made to my GoDaddy account
I was told that this was in the 'fine print.'
I requested a full refund to my credit card and was refused
Thank you,
Robert Orchanian
Called to inquire about charge on credit card statement Told that I had enrolled in auto-renewal program for annual payment for monthly web and email services Explained that I had not used services at all and wanted to cancel They cancelled services but denied refund, even partial refund Expected at least a refund of or months of the fee, given that they had cancelled it Said that I had to cancel within days of auto-renewal date Said that they had sent email to me about auto-renewal, but I did not see charge until it showed up on credit card
I purchased services from GoDaddy (GD) several years ago I ended my business, canceled my GoDaddy products & turned off the auto-renew option years later, GD charged me for the services I canceled I contacted GD and was told that even though I canceled my services & turned off auto-renew, there was an added protection on my account to "prevent any cancellation mistakes" For years I believed that my account had been closed, and all services had ended, but it turns out there was a hidden "security protection" on my account that prevented me from actually closing my account This Protected Registration allows GD to treat your account as if it had not been canceled, but without customer awareness A quick Google search on the issue shows this to be the number one complaint against GoDaddy, and countless other customers have been tricked into auto-renewals of products they too had believed they canceled Last Friday, I was told by a GD rep that I would receive a full
We removed our Credit Card from GoDaddys auto-renewal to host our site over one year ago and deleted our non-profits credit card information from their service GoDaddy charged us without our approval or knowledge on September 11, $
Being a small non-profit, it took us time to organize our IT personnel, webdesigner, and finance coordinator to figure out this charge was not authorized and not part of our hosting with GODaddy When we reached out to GODaddy, they confirmed we had been removed from auto-renewal
They also confirmed this charge was for emails they were storing for us We never set up or approved an email account with GoDaddy, and customer service claimed this was a promotion and out account was set up with a default to receive emails We were never
even informed we had an email, so our IT personnel and webdesigner went in to manually retrieve all these lost emails we had no knowledge off When we asked customer service how they got our Credit Card
In May I was contacted about renewing my domain with GoDaddy, I have been a customer for well over years There was a hiccup with the website and my *** account was charged twice When I contacted GoDaddy customer service, I was told that they just applied my payment as a second year When I explained that's not what I want, I was told there was nothing I could do So I contacted Paypal, and fought the second charge GoDaddy never responded, and *** credited my account Yesterday evening I received an email stating that a payment had been declined and that GoDaddy was deleting my account (mind you the original charge is still there, and paid, this is just for the duplicate charge.) I contacted customer service where the rep told me because the charge was reversed by the banking institution (paypal) there would be a dollar charge and an additional dollar (the original duplicate charge) to unlock my account and reinstate service I would take my business somewhere e
We received a credit card statement of years of email service totaling over $1k billed 3/I was made aware of the charge from our billing one week later than the day refund policy of GoDaddyI have had great experiences with GoDaddy in the past and asked them to do an exception to their policy, being that it is only days past the policyThey would notI once thought the customer service and support of GoDaddy was top notchI recommended them and advocated for them many timesNot nowAs soon as our indentured stay is over, since we are locked in now to years, our association with them is overWe were not even trying to cancel everything, but to just go to one year so we can better financially handle thisI am still astounded that not one single person there would not make the effort to make this happen That's not customer service
I have been a customer for a few months I was dissatisfied with the service that I was receiving so I transferred my domain to another web-host provider Go Daddy failed to allow me to transfer successfully They held back pertinent information that I needed to input to allow me to perform this process I had to call and speak to the supervisor, which advanced me a little bit They seemed to have taken me as a joke The emailed me certain information, but they failed to send me the correct information I( went back and forth from website companies where they seemed to be working together to halt my business practices I finally spoke with someone who was not an american who seem not to want to block me but help me and I got a little closer to transferring my email This process of transferring my domain and my email services have taken nearly months where I lost business opportunities
Dear Revdex.com of Arizona:
I am writing to file a complaint against Go Daddy, an Arizona based corporation, for mis- managing my email hosted account The customer service personnel and management have been uncooperative in mitigating a situation they perpetuated through neglect and lack of information to both myself and my technical advisor
In my attempt to remedy the situation, I reached out to the customer service repeatedly but they have been uncooperative and their management has been equally unwilling to escalate this to the executive offices to get a resolution For this reason, I have had to retain an attorney to write a demand letter to Go Daddy to get them to reactivate my email account and repopulate the emails they claim were purged from the service They are lying by stating they do not have the ability to retrieve the emails
If this is not rectified through the demand letter I will subpoena the emails and file a lawsuit against Go DaddyI r
I purchased go daddy products a little over a year ago and used them on a website for my small businessI have decided to close the business and intended to let all relations with go daddy expire, because I don't need a website for a business that I will no longer operateI unchecked a box that would bill automatically for the next years servicesI received a credit card bill notification in my email in the beginning of November and thought nothing of itIt was due Dec 2nd and when I went to pay it a few days ago I discovered that I had been billed by go daddy for the next years servicesI called go daddy, who told me since it was outside of days (even though I had not used the product) I could not ask for my money backI do not want their product and do not intend on using itI apparently only unchecked the domain name box, so I have essentially purchased a website builder for a domain name that I no longer ownIt doesn't make any sense
During initial conversations with their "Sales" team, GoDaddy really portrayed themselves as a company that had a vested interest in being a true 'partner' on the backend (website, hosting, design, etc)However, once I forked over more than $3K, that service level came to an abrupt endFirst, I had issues with the design teamThe communication was lacking, and when I wasn't happy with the final design/build, I was told I would be billed for any changesThe first draft was completely amateurish, and if you aren't literal and specific in your reply as to what you would like different the first feedback you provide, expect to pay more for them to make it rightNow my MAIN issue (the one that is costing my new business daily)I had GoDaddy activate my site weeks agoAfter MANY calls in to their "support" team, the most very basic and simple function of my website is STILL NOT WORKINGThe entire point of my website is so that customers can request to receive a quote for our serviceAll of these request are ending up in my spam folder (if they are received at all) and show up as "spoofing" I have literally spoken to ten different people there, and they WILL divert you from being able to speak to a managerTrust, I ask every timeAnd every time am told that "while I am waiting for a mgr to get off the phone, they will take a look at my issue"Of the ten reps Ive spoken to, by the end of the conversations, I have received ten different answers as to what my technical issue is, and that lo and behold, they have found the solution, and all I have to do is give it hours to take effectGuess what? The basic email function that they paired to my Outlook Office 365, STILL isn't working properlyAnd now when I ask for assistance, they provide me links to "How To" websitesYes, they are now suggesting ways that I am supposed to try and fix the website's functionality (that THEY were paid to design) on my own, even though they have never provided one that worked as it was supposed to since signing up with themThis is what I gave them a good amount of money for! GoDaddy IS NOT fulfilling their end of the agreement I entered into with them
I called spoke to a customer service representative on Oct 2, regarding recent charges to my credit cardIt was explained hey were annual renewal fees on my productsAgreeing, I explained there were products that were never utilized in the years that I had been paying them and wanted to cancel those specificallyThe representative agreed and stated he would proceed cancelling those specific products and issue two credits back to my credit cardOne for $and the other for $I only received the crew under for the $I called godaddy back to inform and was told on their end it shows up as both being refunded and I need to contact my credit card companyI called my credit card company and gave them the amount of $and reference number and explained that It was supposed to have refunded back per godaddy on Sept24thThe refund for that amount never came throughI was advised to wait business days to see if the refund would push throughIt never
I have an account with GoDaddy AuctionsI have sold a domain name on May 6th and have received payment for it for the amount of $after commission feesLater on, on May 26th 2016, I have sold another domain name for $- and have not received the payment for it - although the domain was transferred to the buyer - per the agreement
GoDaddy claims that they have sent out two payments for $on May 19th and May 20th - but I have received only one payment
GoDaddy refused to pay the proceeds from the second domain sale
I would like to make a statement in regards to Go Daddy's business practicesI was a customer from until when our website was abruptly closed by go daddy with very little explanationWe always paid up front for the servicesWe were ignored and we then created a new website ourselvesIn my credit card showed that a transaction was put through with go daddy and they are very hard to get a hold of and when I did speak with salesperson or account person they gave me the run aroundI contacted my credit card company to put a stop on any transactions from go daddyThere was a second transaction tried by go daddy and they sent me a e-mailed note that this payment did not go throughI phoned them back again and asked what am I paying for in the first placeI have not used go daddy for a couple of yearsI demanded a statement from them again and that was finally sent to meVery bad business practices
I have paid for domains for the past years
I have my account set up for auto-renew
On 12/30, I got notice that my account was all set to renew
Then, on 1/19, I notice that my emails aren't going through -- my website is down, and business partners informed me that they have been sending me information
I dig into my spam folder within my Google account, and see a warning message from Go Daddy that my account was set to renew on 1/4, there was an issue with it, and the next bill date is 1/
I call Go DaddyAfter a lengthy wait -- to the tune of 20minutes -- I get someone on the phone who says that the expiration date on my credit card no longer matched -- this is despite the fact that I got an email that I was "all set" on 12/30/-- and we process paymentTHEN, I learn that the data lost while my account was down was unrecoverableI get angry and ask for (1) the date when my account was shut down, and (2) a supervisor, and the person passes me off to a "superviso
I am filing this Revdex.com complaint because of Godaddy hijacked my domain namesOn June 27, I noticed that three of my major domain names no longer connected to my serversTo my surprise, when I called Godaddy customer services, I was told that for some reason they decided to take away my domain names due to the wrong whois recordsI was also told that I was contacted by Godaddy via email on several occasionsWhen I looked at my email box, I only found commercial solicitation emails that are sent to me on the daily basis from Godaddy, but not a single email in regards to updating whois records on the domains that Godaddy simply hikecaked from meThe domains Godaddy took away are: PHENOBESTIN.COM, MITNUTRA.COM and SHOPPHARMACYCOUNTER.COM, of which “PHENOBESTIN” is my registered USPTO.gov trademark!!!! These domains is my family's incomeI’ve been operating PHENOBESTIN.com for around years!!! My registration expiration date for the domain is in 2022!!! Godaddy shady practices are
Recent customer of Godaddy and my website went down due to a software error the company has acknowledged as their faultTechnical support will not help and are requiring a $payment in order to recover my websiteI had (5) backups done for the website and mysteriously the archive files for the backups on Godaddy' server have disappeared, leaving Godaddy to explain that its an error they have no control overAs a customer, I would have expected a company to manage my complaint better, rather than demand additional money when their software goes badIt took months to complete the website and it was used to sell my productsNow I don't have a website and feel I am being held hostage to either pay them more money or start from the beginning
Had a bad experience with this godaddyJohn a supervisor Refused to escalate my complaint because of my race and told me they don't speak with the general publicCustomer service was nasty
