We appreciate the assistance of the Revdex.comAfter researching, the Division policy states Rain Checks are only to be offered for out of stock products that are advertised in our Ad FliersThe Assistant Store Manager MsHwas following properly policy and procedure by not offering a Rain Check
for an item that is not advertised in our Ad FlierIf other Store Management wants to issue Rain Checks for items not advertised in the Ad Flier that is the decision of their own store as we allow Store Management to make changes to Division Policy that best suits the daily working of their storesBut we do expect our employees to treat our customers with courtesy and respect even in tough situations and explaining policy I've documented this customer's concern regarding this employee's behavior and I will forward their comments to the Store Manager Michael Rso he can address this issue with MsHin order to prevent this poor behavior from happening again in the futureI want to apologize to this customer on behalf of the Kroger Company, the store and MsHAll of the appropriate parties have been notified and all of the appropriate actions will take placeRegards,Kroger Co.Ref # ***

I spoke to the store manager where the incident happed for *** ***A message was left but the customer is not respondingIt was explained that the customer has to go back to the store and speak with the store manager due to the nature of his concern. I have spoken to the pharmacy directlyI have called customer service numberI've emailedI've not gotten a suitable answerWhile I appreciate the quick response, Kroger has sadly not chosen to settle this complaint.My next step will be filing a complaint for a HIPAA violationKroger is insisting that these were "new" prescriptionsAccording to Kroger, pharmacy staff obtained a "new" RX from our prior pharmacy when the number given was for an "old" RXThey were only given permission to obtain information about the two RX numbers givennot any additional RXs at the other pharmacySo, either they did simply transfer a prescription over and my coupon was valid, or, they used the information given to obtain additional information that they weren't given permission to access.Really, the pathetic thing about this situation is that our family spends hundreds of dollars at Dillons each monthWe also fill two medications each and every month at our prior pharmacyI was hoping to be able to transfer the meds and have convenience of picking up medications while doing my grocery shoppingThe intent of the coupon was to get current loyal Dillons customers like me to give their regular pharmacy business (medications that are refilled regularly, not those written for acute conditions) to DillonsInstead, I've seen a shady business practice from what used to be my favorite storeDillon pharmacy will absolutely not fill these medications for us going forward, and my grocery shopping there will be limited as wellI'm very disappointed

You have had, for some time, the necessary information to figure out who is telling the truth. I am calling your integrity as an organization into question. It is easy to have integrity when everyone is watching and you have a PR disaster that you need to clean up, but integrity is about having courage when no one is watching and when no one has power over you. If you are not willing to be the check and balance that holds companies accountable, then you have given the compaines absolute power, which we know corrupts absolutely. *** *** once said, "Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency."

The response is not acceptable because the problem is not resolved. I feel that I have been discriminated against because I live in Texas, which in my opinion is not a good reason. I am certainly willing to appear in a store with the proper ID so that they can confirm that I am in fact a senior. I cannot imagine why this isn't good enough for Kroger.
