 I just wanted to let your company know that I will be considering reporting this incident to the attorney general because this is an illegal practice. You are not allowed to ding my credit card for more than I accepted to pay. This is completely unacceptable. I have never had any companies do this to me.

 I'm rejecting the business response for several reasons. I spoke to Alyssa yesterday whom was a nice customer rep and she advised me to take the lamps back to Marshalls to receive a merchandise credit.  I was okay with that until I realized that I would have find two more matching lamps again! I didn't want to take the lamps back and then be stuck with nothing. So with that being said, I decided to run to Home Goods and the other Marshalls here in Winston-Salem FIRST to see if they had some lamps that would be okay in our livingroom. That way, I could have the store hold the lamps, run to return the defective lamps, and then return to another store to purchase the ones on hold. Sadly, I didn't find anything at either store! None of the lamps that I saw were suitable for our livingroom area. And the ones that I did see either didn't have the other matching lamp or they were too expensive! This is the SAMEEEEE issue that I had the last time so that"s why I was so happy to find the two matching ones that I do have. So I'm still in possession of the original lamps and too eliminate this issue, I've decided to just take the non-working lamp to  a repairman whom said he can fix it. It's sad that I've had to go out of my way for this issue. I shouldn't have to come out of my pocket to have something repaired that should still be working. Only 4 months and the lamp just conked out on me. Now I have to pay the tab to get it repaired. I feel like for all of this trouble, the least Marshalls can do is issue me a merchandise credit to use. That would at least make up for the cost of the repair and the trouble that I've gone through with this. Hopefully someone from TJX Companies will call me again to discuss this matter further.
