Per the phone call that I recieved on 5/12 at 11:16 AM, I was told to contact [redacted] directly to change the address and that it is scheduled to deliver tomorrow. After two different phone calls with [redacted] they have informed me that I cannot change the delivery address or make any changes to the package delivery (with the exception of holding at the [redacted] facility in [redacted], TX) because I am the recipent. Per the shippers' (TJ Maxx) instructions, the shipper is the only party authorized to make any changes to the delivery being made.

I feel the issue was not resolved I'm still hurt and humelated on how I was treated because the color of my skin the district manager was not at all concerned about the issue at hand it was like he did not have time to address my feelings and the employee associated with the hate of a differennt race because of the difference of my skin color.  No empathy in his words at all

Dear Revdex.com and Mr. [redacted], I am writing in response to Complaint # [redacted], which was filed by Mr. [redacted].  TJX regrets that Mr. [redacted] did not have a positive experience in our T.J. Maxx store.  We and [redacted] (the issuer of our TJX Rewards Platinum...

[redacted] and our TJX Rewards Credit Card) have been communicating with Mr. [redacted] in an effort to resolve his concerns.  Please be assured that – contrary to Mr. [redacted]’s complaint – T.J. Maxx already has procedures in place relating to the credit application process that (a) prohibit our store Associates from acting in an unfair or deceptive manner toward our customers; and (b) protect our customers’ personal information.More specifically, the Store Associates that are authorized to assist customers in applying for one of our credit cards participate in a formal training program that makes it clear that they are not permitted to be unfair, deceptive, or abusive to customers. The training walks the Associates through the steps that must be taken to secure the customer’s consent.  The application form, which must be viewed and completed by the customer, makes it very clear that the customer is applying for a credit card with [redacted].  Among other things, there is a statement just above the section the customer needs to complete in order to initiate the application process that says:     “By applying you agree that, if approved, [redacted] may provide you with a TJX Rewards Platinum [redacted] or a TJX Rewards Credit Card.”This statement is written in bold font and set in a black box in order to stand out to the customer. The essence of that statement is repeated for emphasis just below the section where the customer must write his or her Social Security Number, and the form further states:     “…you agree that: You are providing the information in this application to SYNCB and to The TJX Companies, Inc. (and its affiliates)….”Additionally, as part of the application process, the customer must sign a Customer Verification slip, in w hich he or she “authorize[s] TJX to electronically submit my credit application (emphasis added)” and acknowledges that he orshe has “provided my application information to both [redacted] and TJX and agree that each of them may use and share my information with each other as provided in their privacy policies.”As for Mr. [redacted]’s request that we delete his Social Security Number from our files, it should be known that T.J. Maxx does not retain customers’ SSNs as a part of the credit application process.  The customer writes his or her SSN on the hard copy application form and passes it to the Store Associate, who enters the SSN into the register so that it may be electronically provided to [redacted] for their consideration of the customer’s application.  Then the Store Associate returns the hard copy application form to the customer by hand; if a form is left behind at the store, our employees are trained to give it to their manager for secure disposal.  T.J. Maxx’s systems do not retain customers’ SSNs as part of the credit application process.I hope this addresses the questions Mr. [redacted] raised in his complaint about our credit application process.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at 1-800-[redacted] should you need any additional information. After receiving Mr. [redacted]’ latest reply, we obtained a copy of the verification slip signed by Mr. [redacted] at the time his credit card application was processed.  This slip discusses thefact that he was applying for a credit card with [redacted].  We also spoke with the Store Associate who assisted Mr. [redacted] with his transaction.  She emphasized that her process is to explain to customers that the TJX Rewards Credit Card is a credit card, and that a social security number is required because issuance of the card is subject to creditapproval.  She emphasized that customers fill out their social security number on the hard copy application form, and that once she has entered the information from the form into the register for transfer to the card company, she returns the hard copy application form to the customer so that the customer retains his or her personal information on the form.
