Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

When this individual reached out to us, we were happy to explain crowdfunding and our shipping timeline. Because crowdfunding uses the funds collected from our amazing supporters to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a long delay between the...

receipt of funds and the shipment of packages. This can feel like a problem to individuals who are unfamiliar with crowdfunding, but it is a normal part of the process. We are terribly sorry that in this case that lag time caused concern. Our records show that this individuals package has been shipped and is in transit at this time. We truly hope that they will reach out to us with any further concerns they may have.

Never received my order, all I got was a link for delivery details that has been "under temporary maintenance" for almost 11 months. Tried to reach out to the company via email and phone several times, no response. CROOKS AND THIEVES.

Not only do they not make it clear that it is a crowdfunding site but I bought 3 and got a forth one free but the 4th one did not come with an apple tip, so after being totally ripped off it cost me $15 with shipping and handling to make the 4th charger worthwhile.

I am so upset with being sucked in by these people. It is not just the money.

Do not do business with them they are complete and total rip off artists and make themselves sound so friendly and cutting edge.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.  The company did contact me via email and did offer to ship my product, although there was no estimated ship date.  I'm going to assume that I will receive it before the end of this month Jan 2015 compared to the current original ship date showing on their website as June or July if 2016.  If I don't receive it in a reasonable amount of time (before Feb [redacted]) I will file another complaint with Revdex.com.
I heard about Thingcharger from pop up while playing in the "Words with friends" App.  At no time did the video that was presented about the company or during the purchasing process did the company say they were a crowdfunding company and that I would need to wait almost 8 months for my product.  If this was made clearer in the video that was created to market the company, then I would not have had an issue with my order.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

We are so sorry that this individual did not receive a call back when they left a message on our answering service over the holidays. We are incredibly sorry, but our voicemail service encountered an outage and some messages were lost. We sincerely apologize. We are also sorry that this...

individual was not aware of our crowdfunding status when they first contributed to our campaign. While we try to make our crowdfunding status clear both in our advertising videos and on our website, we are sincerely sorry when it is missed. As we were happy to explain to this individual, with crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money toward a great idea. The inventors take that money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the people who supported us. Because crowdfunding uses the funds provided by our contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packages. When we learned that this individual had not understood our crowdfunding status, we attempted to explain and offered to try to meet their expectations. However, they were uncomfortable with our final checkout process and have stated that they initiated a dispute with their credit card company. When this happens, the credit card company puts a hold on the transaction, and we are not able to place funds back into their account during the investigation.Once we receive the notification from the system on the status of the charge back we will go from there. If the charge back was accepted, then there is no further action from us as they will have already received their funds. If the charge back is declined, we will happily process a refund for them.We hope that we can assist them in resolving this to their satisfaction by offering them a refund and ask that they please contact us directly, by returning our email to them or emailing us at [redacted], if they believe that their credit card dispute is no longer active, so that we can begin that process.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The concept of a CROWDFUNDING campaign was not fully explained when the product was originally presented to consumers (me). I feel that only after I contacted the Revdex.com did this company make any attempt to resolve the complaint. As to their claim that I didn't email them in January I can produce the email from my sent file if needed. There resolution to the complaint was in fact to ask me for more money for an upgrade to their product which hadn't yet shipped. I responded to their communication only to find out that addition payment was required in the form of shipping. The additional shipping was only $7 but it speaks to what upset me about their tactics. When all is said and done I just want to see the back of this company and NEVER deal with them again. They have claimed that after I paid them the additional $7 for shipping they would send me my product. I consider this issue closed even though I chose the option of (Complaint not resolved). I couldn't bring myself to respond that I was in any way satisfied.

We are so sorry that this individual was unaware of our crowdfunding status and unhappy with address confirmation process. We have spoken to them and are refunding their...

money. That address confirmation process is a little different looks so different because it was designed for our earliest supporters. It is a place that allows them to add on some of the upgrades and types of tips that we developed, at their suggestion, during the two years that we have been working on making this idea into a reality. Additionally, during that development time period, many people have moved, so we ask our supporters to confirm their current shipping information. We are very sorry that it seemed as though these upgrades and tips were not available until a later date as we do have them and are shipping them as fast as we can confirm addresses. We will continue to work with our team to improve communication with our supporters and make sure that they are explaining the process, and why it looks so different, in cases like this. And as we begin to catch up to shipping to our newest supporters we will be looking into better ways to allow them to confirm their shipping information when needed.

At the time of this complaint thingCHARGER is still a crowdfunding campaign and we are proud to say we began shipping our beautiful product in September and continue to ship as quickly as we can.It seems that the individual did not realize this and we apologize for the confusion. Prior to this...

complaint being filed we had been in contact with the individual and a refund had already been issued.

We are very sorry that this individual is feeling frustrated and finding it difficult to communicate. Looking through our email log, we find that every email that they have sent us has been answered within 48 hours (including over weekends), so we sincerely hope that they are receiving all of our...

responses to their inquiries. We have made our expected delivery timetable available on our website and offered this individual an expected window for shipping the first time they contacted us. We have offered to ship within this time window. Although this individual is frustrated by the cost of shipping, we are not asking them for any money beyond the actual cost of shipping their package to their location in Canada from our distribution center in Nevada. The amount that was included in their initial contribution towards shipping has been added as a campaign credit towards the cost of shipping. As a small company, we cannot subsidize the cost of shipping, but we also remain committed to earing zero profit from shipping. The shipping fees that our supporters see are added on by the shipper itself, not us. We cannot change the shipping fees. We have emailed this individual and offered them several possible solutions and are waiting to hear back from them as to which they would prefer. We are committed to working with them until they are satisfied with the outcome.

At this time thingCHARGER is a crowdfunding campaign that has started shipping. We value you as a supporter and appreciate your feedback. We truly do listen to our supporters feedback and have made adjustments to our overall design. One such instance is the adjustable tips that many of our...

supporters asked for. We now have fully adjustable tips that can accommodate a many of the device cases on the market today. We do strive to let get the information about our crowdfunding status to anyone who visits our website. At the top of the website is a video with Amy and Seymour asking the viewer to contribute to our campaign. In the FAQ's we explain that we are shipping at a much later date. At the bottom of the web page we have a disclaimer stating: [redacted]"I would like to know more about how you came to our website as I am perplexed about the payment button you mentioned. This button is marked "continue to payment" with a disclaimer below stating:  “Contribute now to our pre-launch campaign and receive thingCHARGER(s) as an awesome thank-you perk from us when we ship.”

At the time of this complaint thingCHARGER was a crowdfunding campaign. We started shipping in September of 2015 and continue to ship as fast as we can. Our records...

indicate that the thingCHARGERs have been delivered to the individual. The [redacted] sales were part of a market test that was made possible through a special donation. While for a large market distribution they were limited in quantity, their production allowed us to order from production in larger amounts that actually enabled us to produce thingCHARGERs more quickly and ship to our contributor’s sooner. It's counter-intuitive, but ordering more items means using a larger factory and allows us to get more thingCHARGERs, faster. With regard to the 30 Pin Tip and charges for it, we were excited to be able to offer the 30 Pin tip. Having it allows us to offer charging capability for older devices. It isn't included free of charge because most often it is not needed by our supporters. Because it is needed in much smaller quantities, producing it is much more expensive. In order to off-set those costs, we are sad to say that we do have to charge a fee. We don't typically mention this in advance because for most of our supporters it isn't necessary. They simply don't need the 30 Pin tip and offering them information on it wastes their time. When we are asked we try to make the fees for additional tips clear. I am very sorry that wasn't done here. We are sorry to say that we do not yet know exactly where these units were acquired, and who placed them on [redacted] or [redacted]. We have fulfilled a good number of contributors from earlier in our campaign, and it is possible that someone decided to attempt to resell theirs.
