We are very happy to say that this individual contacted us directly as well at the same time as they reached out to the Revdex.com and that we have been able to answer their questions and make progress towards their desired resolution. We are very sorry that they experienced a long...

delay between contribution and shipping, without an explanation of why that delay had occurred. We try to make our crowdfunding status clear in our advertisements and on our website, we are very sorry that in this case it was missed. As we were happy to explain to this individual, with crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money toward a great idea. The inventors take that money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the amazing people who supported us. Because crowdfunding uses the funds provided by our contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packages. However, we are happy to say that, after confirming this individuals shipping information, we were able to get their package in process and it will be shipped out right away. We will continue to follow up with them until they are completely satisfied with their experience. We encourage anyone who is concerned about their package or experience to contact us right away at [redacted].

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by thingCHARGER Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted].  The owner has sent me two emails, asking for more money to support some new scheme.  I have only replied to return my money.Sincerely,[redacted]

I ordered my Thingcharger in December as a Christmas gift. After inquiring about the delay of shipment, I discovered the "crowdfunding" concept. I received the device in late February and started to use it myself on my Iphone 6. Last week it stopped charging my phone and I started to get a message from Apple that the device was not compatible with my phone. I contacted the company and received an email instructing me to reboot my phone or download the most current software update. They also suggested reversing the tip on the charger. I tried all of these but the device still does not work; the last message received from Apple was that it may damage my phone. I will wait to hear from thingcharger to see if it can be returned or replaced. Not happy with this product at all.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution, a full refund, is satisfactory as to my interest and the matter has been resolved. I continue to be concerned about their advertising on [redacted] which...

makes it look like a product and not a [redacted] campaign.
Sincerely,

We are terribly sorry that this individual still feels that we have not addressed their concerns. We make it very clear in a number of places throughout our advertising and check-out process that we are a crowdfunding campaign. We also provide as much information as we can about our shipping timelines, given that we are working very hard every day to improve and speed that process. While in this case, it appears that the individual was unaware of crowdfunding at the time of contribution, we have made every effort to speed their shipment and accomadate their expectations.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

The concept of a CROWDFUNDING campaign was not fully explained when the product was originally presented to consumers (me). I feel that only after I contacted the Revdex.com did this company make any attempt to resolve the complaint. As to their claim that I didn't email them in January I can produce the email from my sent file if needed. There resolution to the complaint was in fact to ask me for more money for an upgrade to their product which hadn't yet shipped. I responded to their communication only to find out that addition payment was required in the form of shipping. The additional shipping was only $7 but it speaks to what upset me about their tactics. When all is said and done I just want to see the back of this company and NEVER deal with them again. They have claimed that after I paid them the additional $7 for shipping they would send me my product. I consider this issue closed even though I chose the option of (Complaint not resolved). I couldn't bring myself to respond that I was in any way satisfied.

This individual contacted us regarding their contribution on same day that they filed a complaint with the Revdex.com. We have arranged, with their permission, to ship their package immediately. We normally expect that supporters that contributed to our campaign some time ago fully...

aware of our crowdfunding status, but occassionally they are not. We are very sorry that this individual was not. With crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money toward a great idea. The inventors take that money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the amazing people who supported us. We are so excited to be a successful crowdfunding campaign that is shipping as quickly as we can to our earliest supporters. We are shipping in the order in which we received contributions to honor our earliest supporters for the patience and their incredible support. When we learned that this individual was unaware of our crowdfunding status, we worked to try to resolve this and appear to have been successful! They completed their shipping confirmation process this morning and their package will be shipped right away.

[They have not sent my purchased item nor have they offered to refund my money. At this point nothing less than a complete return of my funds would be satisfactory.[redacted]]

Revdex.com:At this time, I have not been contacted by thingCHARGER Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted]. Phone number online no longer works. Phone number on my charge card is for the company owner. He does not answer any calls. Sincerely,[redacted]

We are mystified as to why this individual has lodged a Revdex.com complaint. They first contacted us with their concerns and we responded the same day. As soon as the shipping details were confirmed these were boxed up and ready to ship. At the time of this posting this package is on it’s way to the...

individual. At the time of this response thingCHARGER is a crowdfunding campaign that has started shipping. I would like to explain about our crowdfunding status and why things feel a bit "different" with our shipping timelines, etc.  We would hate for anyone to misunderstand misunderstand what thingCHARGER is all about. We are a crowdfunding campaign that is now shipping after 2 years of development and lots of people cheering us on for those 2 years.  Crowdfunding campaigns start out advertising and developing at the same time, and once the development of the product is completed, then the new development (in this case our thingCHARGER) is shipped to supporters in the order they joined--so there is always a lag time between when a crowdfunding campaign bills you and when you receive your items.

Revdex.com:In reference to complaint ID [redacted], after you processed my Complaint, I finally got an email response from the company only they requested more money to ship my order and tried to act like it was a donation.  I refused to give them more money and after being told...

my refund was being processed and I would have it within 48 hours, which was today and I didn't show it was even processed, I Then contacted my bank and asked for them to dispute the charge on my card.  I explained what happened and they are in the process of contacting the company now.  Right after they contacted the company I received an update stating that the refund is being processed tonight.  Hmmm.  Wonder what happened to them processing it 2 days ago, per the email they sent me.  Anyways, this company is not trust worthy at all and really seems to be a scam.  I cannot say that I find this satisfactory, until my Bank hears back from thing charger and I have my money back with no dispute.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

When this transaction occurred thingCHARGER was a crowdfunding campaign. At the time of this writing this individual has received their thingCHARGERs.thingCHARGER is currently a crowdfunding campaign that has started shipping. Crowdfunding has become more and more popular in recent years--Americans...

are enjoying getting behind new ideas and helping small start-ups succeed.  Crowdfunding works a bit differently than a typical "direct sales" and we are shipping out in the order that people supported us.Some people joined us many months before we had our product available and so we are working to send their thingCHARGERs to them first and then working our way through our newer supporters.

confusion. It seems that this individual was not aware of our crowdfunding status. While we try to make our crowdfunding status clear in our advertising videos and our website, we are sincerely sorry that this was missed. With crowdfunding, many people contribute a small amount of money toward a great idea. The inventors take that money and turn it into a fantastic product, which we can then ship to the amazing people who supported us. Because crowdfunding uses the funds provided by our contributors to create, manufacture, and ship our products to our supporters, there is often a delay between the receipt of funds and the shipment of packages. At the request of our early supporters, we have chosen not to send out mass emails about our progress. Instead, we offer a weekly live hangout where we tell ou supporters about what we have going on and show our progress with production and shipping. Those can be found at [redacted].We have reached out to this individual via email to explain and to attempt to resolve this issue to their satisfaction. We look forward to hearing back from them and will continue to follow up until they are satisfied.

We are so grateful that this individual contacted us directly at the same time that they reached out to the Revdex.com. We are thrilled that we were able to help them resolve their frustration and that their thingCHARGERs are...

on the way.   We’re very sorry that the shipping cost was more than the pre-paid shipping credit. While that happens in some cases, we also find it frustrating. We are very glad that the additional cost in shipping was not as high as this individual originally saw and we were able to help them get their package on the way.   We are very sorry for the frustration that this individual experienced regarding the delay in receiving their thingCHARGERS. It seems that they may not have been aware when they selected their perk package that thingCHARGER is still a crowdfunding campaign.   With crowdfunding, an inventor takes a good idea to the internet. There, many people contribute a small amount of money towards making that idea into a reality. The inventor then takes that money and uses it to create, manufacture, and ship the product. When the product is ready, it is shipped out to all the people who supported its creation, as a thank-you gift.   Because of that process, there is usually a lag between when contributions are received and when perk packages are shipped. This can feel frustrating, but it is a normal part of crowdfunding.   We are so excited to have reached the shipping stage and we know this individual will be thrilled just as soon as their thingCHARGERs are delivered.

At the time of this writing thingCHARGER is still a crowdfunding campaign. We have been shipping our beautiful product since September and continue to ship as fast as we can.It seems that perhaps you did not realize this, and we apologize. I would love to make this right. Please check your...

email for a message from us asking you to confirm your shipping information.Below is a little information about crowdfunding:Crowdfunding is a platform where inventors can launch a new product by asking for the funds upfront. Once we have your thingCHARGER made we send an email asking to confirm your shipping details so we can send you a thank-you gift of thingCHARGERs for your generous support.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I am frustrated that thingCHARGER continues to put blame on the contributor for what he or she didn't do or didn't understand. Whether it wasn't watching the weekly updates to be informed of the status of the product or not understanding what was included with the thingCHARGER or what additional charges the contributor might incur, somehow it was always the contributor's fault or responsibility.  That said, the following list details what I would like done to rectify the situation and make things better with me: 1) Receipt of the second tip for all 4 thingCHARGERs purchased. 2) Return of both 30-tip adapters and replacement with 2 appropriate tips for my iPhone 5s. I was incorrect in thinking I had an iPhone 4. I apologize for that error. It was labeled incorrectly in my settings. 3) Either a reasonable explanation of the additional $6.95 charge or credit of that amount to my credit card. The figures in my receipt do not add up. Please see attached receipt. The receipt that was sent to me recently from thingCHARGER WAS incorrect. 4) A credit of $25.90 for 30-tip adapters purchased which were offered for free when I activated my thingCHARGERS on-line. 5) Shorten weekly tube updates to make more customer friendly and e-mail links for weekly updates to contributors. Don't expect contributors to remember to check for these updates week after week.
