Dear...

[redacted]:This email is in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] with your office regarding SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Magazine, a Time Inc. publication.  I appreciate this opportunity to respond.I would like to explain that we do not enter orders without receiving what we believe to be the proper authorization to do so.  A review of our customer transaction records indicates that the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED KIDS Magazine subscriptions were a result of a special Finish Line partnership.  Once a purchase is made at Finish Line, a store clerk explains the complete terms of the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED KIDS offer to the customer.  At the counter, the customer is offered ten risk-free issues of the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Magazine and two risk-free issues of SPORTS ILLUSTRATED KIDS and if they want the offer, they sign up on the electronic pinpad.  The clerk also states tha the customer would be automatically charged after the trial issues unles he or she cancels. The customer is given a takeaway brochure, and it states that SPORTS ILLUSTRATED and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED KIDS will charge the customer's credit/debit card for the subcription after the trial issues unless we receive a request to cancel.  We also send a reminder notice to customers soon after an order is received, explaining the program again.  Both the brochure and the reminder notice list a toll-free number for any cancellations.  The toll-free number is also listed on the credit card statement that includes the subscription charge. As requested, the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED KIDS Magazine subscription was immediately canceled on November **, 2014, and a full refund of $24.95 was issued.  This refund will appear on [redacted]'s credit/debit card statement within 30 to 60 days depending upon his credit/debit card billing cycle.  On the other hand, since the SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Magazine subscription was canceled (September **, 2014) within the risk-free trial period, there was no charge for the order.I appreciate this opportunity to be of service.Sincerely,[redacted] for[redacted], Time Inc, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

My credit card was credited back although I would have liked to continue to receive this magazine and only wanted the missing issue really.  I did receive an issue of Entertainment Weekly by [redacted]  but it does not look like below although says Fall TV Preview double issue  so I am not sure complaint IS resolved & I see no way to respond to the message other than saying it’s unresolved. I am attaching a picture of the cover of the issue I have been trying to receive in hopes you can send this on as no one seems to understand what issue I am referring to.  Thank you nswer Here]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

You can see clearly that I signed up for a ONE-YEAR subscription. I was charged for 2 years, and the company automatically renewed me for 2 years, and immediately tried to renew me for an additional 3rd year on top of this. I signed up for one year only, and they charged me double, lying that I had signed up for 2 years. This is merely proof that this company is a complete scam.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

1. I did get a reasonable explanation regarding the mystery going on with my dad's address. The business blames the post service, but the post service obviously gets the address from The Times. Since I have provided the correct address, and the correct address was always available in the online account, it is not the post office that should be blamed, I suspect. especially because all the other mail has been delivered to the same address without problems for over a decade.2. In which form was the refund issued? It's pretty impossible for me to go through all my credit card statements now to verify that I in fact got the refund.3. I am constantly getting lots of advertisement emails from this business, so they have my email on file. But why was not I even notified that they cancelled my dad's account? 4. Where are all the missing issues starting from May 2015, as it was promised me by The Times' customer service when I called in August?5. If the business could not deliver the issues of the magazine before, do they really think I will trust their promise to deliver the "3 complimentary" issues now? And if, in fact, they can deliver those, why was it so impossible for them to do it awhile ago? This whole customer service attitude looks like a big fraud to me. With all my respect to Revdex.com, how can this business get an A in your ratings? Just look at the number of the complaint from people concerning The Times, this is unacceptable!
