A Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS) representative has reviewed our customer complaintAfter doing a research our customer was able to speak to one of our case managers and has informed that Toshiba did not provide a loaner computer in accordance to the standard limited warrantyOur representative created a depot repair order for the unit and currently our customer is waiting for the box that they can use sending their computer to our depot repair facility to have it diagnose and fixed under FedEx tracking number [redacted] At this time we consider this matter closed

A Toshiba America Information Systems (TAIS) representative has reviewed our customer complaintAfter doing a research our customer spoke to one of our technical support representatives and performed troubleshooting to his computer over the phone and they found out that the unit needs to send to our depot repair facility and the representative processed a depot repair order with the order number TC- [redacted] and in accordance to the standard limited warranty; How to Obtain Repair or Replacement Service For A Product Purchased In The United States? How do they do these things and get by with it ?? Very frustrated and mad !!! Thank you [redacted] ***

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. They are trying to pretend they already had resolved the issue before my complaint. They hadn't. The complaint simply got them to return my phone calls. They then FedExd my laptop several days after my initial complaint to my home which I am not at because I have moved back onto college campus. I then had to wait another 2 days before I saw my laptop. Number one (1) the laptop was returned with scratches that weren't present at the time of shipping nearly TWO MONTHS ago. Number two (2) The computer is now slower and freezes at the "Toshiba: Leading Innovation" screen when I close it so it hibernates and upon start-up consistently Number three (3) there was another problem that occurred when you switched accounts where the screen turned black and then gave an error message. I told [redacted] about it and then packaged a picture with my first shipment. That picture is attached here. I called prior to the weekend and my receival of the laptop, and during this past weekend. I expected a call back today but didn't receive one. Additionally, I asked for documentation of when parts were ordered and when those parts were received so I could ascertain what could have possibly taken 2 months to complete a repair. Right now, it looks like my laptop was forgotten and then manhandled in the 2 months it was out of my care. This is absolutely ridiculous. Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I was finally able to reach someone regarding the issue I had with my Laptop, It took months to get in touch with the correct departmentThere is no simple way to file a warranty claim and now due to these delays my laptop is now out of warrantyFurthermore, the repair facility replaced my solid state hybrid hard drive (which is TB sized hard drive) with a GB hard driveThe representative stated that the mother board specs called for a GB hard drive, I find this to be a flat out lie because I bought this laptop BRAND NEW in the box with a TB hard driveI think they were out of the hard drive that was in my laptop and called and fed me a load of BS so they wouldn't have to order the correct sized hard drive and install itThis is the worst customer service I have ever receivedI assume they are going to do nothing about it so I have decided to also file a complaint with the [redacted] as well as [redacted] so I can notify other potential Toshiba Customers of my personal experience with them Regards, [redacted]

A TAIS representative was in contact with our customer on 01/24/TAIS has apologized for any inconvenience and informed the customer that their warranty expired on 01/09/Per the Standard Limited Warranty it states, “Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc(“Toshiba”) warrants that the Toshiba branded product you purchased for your end use (“Product”) is free from defects in materials and workmanship under use during the Limited Warranty Period.” Also, “How Long Does This Warranty Last? One (1) year after the date of your purchase (“Limited Warranty Period”).” Seeing as the customer has exceeded the warranty period they are now responsible for any repairs and or technical assistanceBeing as the replacement battery was purchased (01/21/2013) after the warranty had expired on (01/09/2013), the Toshiba product did fulfill the one year Standard Limited Warranty At this time we consider this matter closed
