Vizio Reviews (1844)

We bought a Vizio LED HDTV 70" months ago from Best Buy On Sunday night (6/28/2015) a thin horizontal line appeared covering 2/of the screen & another one pop out on Monday nightToday I contacted Vizio thru live chat to see if there are any recalls for my model# M701D-A3R because one of my friend also bought the same tv with us exact same model & his went black all of a sudden weeks ago Customer Service stated there are no recalls for it & no known issues Unfortunately, my husband did not extend the warranty with Best BuyI thought that I could have at least years with my TV before I start experiencing any issues! So, we are basically out of luck with $hard earned money down the drainMy calculations basically I paid for $122/month for this TV! The only offer Vizio would give is for me to buy another Vizio TV with them a $off than what WalMart or Best Buy would offer I google about Vizio TV and there are a lot of consumer on-line NOT HAPPY with Vizio products One site had 1,complaints, and a website dedicated to vizio.pissedconsumer.com with complaints costing OVER $70,000!
I contacted a TV Repair man to come & look at my TV He basically stated that he gets a lot of calls about Vizio TV right after the one year warranty! Hmmmm...Odd right? He basically just unplugged my TV, unplugged all the connections, re-plugged them, but never open the back of the tv to see what is wrong He stated he would need to contact Vizio first to see what would be the cause of it & I told him that the Vizio Customer Support had no explanation to me what would be the cause The TV Repair Guy basically was in & out my house in less that minutes He called me back in an hour & stated that it's probably the "Mother board" & will cost over $for the parts + $65/hour labor to fix it but it is not a guarantee that this issue will not arise again in the future
I am the 1,person Vizio consumer that WILL NOT BE BUYING another VIZIO PRODUCTS since the quality of their products are not reliable My personal opinion DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BUY VIZIO But if you insist on buying one, then extend the warranty for at least years minimum

Owning a 480iBfor prox 3years the picture would not come on but had soundFor a while I smacked the back of flat screen and it would come backFinally quit yesterdayhaving looked up problems on You Tube and having electronics background was able to re solder the offending pins on the connection point as shownAlso fixed wifi problem by reseating a small circuit board loosened by pounding tv to get picture to work
Vizio customer service was absolutely useless! If not for that guy on youtube I would have a useless expensive piece of trash that didn't measure up to quality standards

Models E701i-Aand E701i-A3E exhibit these display problems more often than other models of Vizio TVsVizio Inc knows about the problems and will not replace my 3-year-old TVThe offered to give me a discount for a newer model which is more than I paid for my mode E701i-A3EI want my TV replaced free of charge After calling CSR times even the managers were rude They said no exceptions could be made even with Vizio knowing its there problem

Contacted Vizio support regarding a malfunction of my tv on 5/30/Was told it was under warranty still and I would hear from a technician to either repair or replace the televisionSent in a photo and the representative told me I was good to go I received an automated phone call from the local technicians today saying I would hear from them within 24-today at 12:central time I just received another phone call saying my repair would be canceled because it’s not covered because someone must have struck the tvThe tv isn’t even a year old and we had no problems with it until yesterday when we arrived home it was not workingI was given case numbers *** and ***

Do NOT buy any #Vizio products, such as their TV
Mine started malfunctioning shortly after the ONE YEAR warranty ended! THAT IS CALLED Timed Obsolescence
We older consumers remember when we were kids and had those huge console TV's built with "unreliable and failure-prone" vacuum tubesThose TV's lasted seemingly foreverAs a kid, we had the same TV as long as I can remember
Not #VIZIO! They are DESIGNED with solid-state components, TO FAIL! That's the TV
The REMOTE CONTROL for it is DESIGNED To FRUSTRATE! The Remote Control is roughly 2-inches wide by 8-inches tall/longThere is a two-inch spot on the heel with no buttons, ok as it makes it easier to hold without accidently pushing a button
BUTThere are buttons on the remote that are useless and provide no functionI haven't found any way to program the remote to make them usefulThe Media button, one of the biggest buttons on the remote, is also useless — every device I've tried to use in the TV's Media USB port is not recognized by the TVUSELESS!
Most of the buttons that you normally use are MICRO-BUTTONS literally 1/8" square and crammed within the more useless buttons making them a challenge to press individuallyIf all of that wasn't bad enough, easily over half the time I press a button it either doesn't respond, responds with multiple presses, so if you're trying to enter a single "5", the remote double-taps entering "55" making me start over again or literally executes a different action completely, a common experience with this remoteWhen that happens, I quickly have to press the micro-last button twice to get the remote entry back to a starting point without the TV taking off on a channel it selects for youPushing one button only to have the remote execute an UNDESIRED action is common with this remoteEven when pushing up or down volume, sometimes it Changes Channel instead! Vizio is an EXERCISE IN FRUSTRATION!!!
I could go on, and on, and on!!! But the point is
DON'T BUY #VIZIO!!!
Oh, one more point I have to makeWhen I posted a similar message about 6-months ago, VIZIO TRIED TO "RECONCILE" MY WOES BY SELLING ME ANOTHER TV FROM THEIR OUTDATED/UNSOLD INVENTORYAt the same time they had a similar TV on sale at Walmart for a cheaper price!!!
DON'T BUY VIZIO!!!

Had a Vizio E600i-B60" TV for year and monthIt's now a worthless piece of junk that works for 5-minat timeThe TV is defective and shuts itself off while viewingAll auto-off settings are disabledI have contacted Vizio and they were no helpThey told me to reset the TV by holding the power button on the back, and said that this is all the help they can give as the TV is over a year oldThis issue began a few months ago, after only months of modest usage, but it was not a problem as it took several hours before it shut offNow it has rendered the TV unusableWe didn't even know it was an issue with the TV itself, until it was too lateI have tried resetting multiple times, resetting TV settings, using different inputsNothing helps, the TV is defective, and Vizio does not support it
Also the fiber optic audio input is not seated well on the board as attempting to remove the cable from the TV ripped the fixture right off the circuit boardWithout excessive forceI'm extremely disappointed with Vizio, and the unbelievably poor quality of this TV
I'm even more disappointed in Vizio's apathetic customer support and their unwillingness to help They repeatedly told me it was not a known problem, and that they would provide no help even though it was only month after the 1yr warranty Even after providing them with online statements from Vizio themselves about recalling TVs for the exact same issue
The picture is great, but it will not lastVizio will not help

I purchased a inch smart tv 2/Last month (9/2014) it began randomly shutting off and making a loud, terrifying screeching noiseNow it does that every minutes or soI called vizio and they stated because I'm outside my warranty by months there was nothing they can doA tv should not fail to operate after less than years, vizio clearly does not stand behind their product

Purchased a VIZIO E60-Ctelevision from the store roughly a month ago or a little lessit was the last one in stock and I was waiting for my tv furniture to arrive before unboxing the tvlast night on 8/4/i had unboxed the tv to find out it had a internal cracked screen due to VIZIO's inadequate packaging so I proceeded to contact Vizio's customer service and spoke with Aaron, I had told him that the screen looked cracked and that there were lines all over the screen and that it had some bleeding on one end and he said first lets do a power reset just because its protocolafter doing that he informed me that yes indeed the screen was cracked and asked me how long ago I had purchased the unit and I told him weeks to a month and he said basically what we do is in a case like this since it was damaged in the box we would ship you out a replacement so you dont have to deal with the store and all that and then proceeded to send me an email to send the receipt with pictures and

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I received an email from Vizio offering a paltry discount on a poorly reviewed televisionI rightly refused this offerWhy would I spend more of my hard-earned money on another product from a company that will not accept responsibility for it's defective merchandise? I will not be stuck with another expensive, yet disposable product that will conveniently fail as soon as the warranty expiresThis particular model I currently own was part of a well-documented recall, but Vizio claims my television isn't experiencing the same problem as others from this series even though my serial number is within he recall parametersI have read many complaints online of customers experiencing the same issues as I have who had their products replaced by Vizio under this recall, but am conveniently told by their customer service department that my problem is not the sameAn infrequently used television should last more than two years, especially when the average lifespan of the average HD TV is at least 1000,hoursThis tells me that what I am experiencing is a sign of a greater problem that Vizio refuses to acknowledgeI was told it was not economically possible to repair it after they viewed the pictures I sent, but they never explained what was wrong with it, or how the problem could have occurredThis is the suspicious behavior of a company that is trying to avoid the expense of replacing another faulty product after they obviously lost money in an attempt to satisfy thousands of other unhappy consumers who also purchased defective merchandiseI placed my trust in the Vizio name and the company's reputation when I made my purchaseI would have become a loyal customer, and gladly purchased additional products in the future even after the failure of my television if their response to my complaint had been differentTheir continued excuse to every attempt I have made to rectify this situation is to hold up the expired warranty, rather than address why my television has so rapidly degraded beyond repairI simply had the misfortune of keeping my television stored and unused
for many months, or this problem would have most certainly occurred much
sooner before the warranty had expiredRepeatedly bringing up the expired warranty at every turn by Vizio further solidifies my belief that this company is hiding behind this excuse to avoid taking responsibility for a defective productI am disappointed in you, VizioYou could have set an example for how an honorable company conducts business, but instead you decided that money was more important than your customersA company that lives by that set of values is doomed to eventual failure

I can't begin to describe how utterly disappointed I am with this companyI will never buy another one of their products or recommend them to family, friends, or enemies for that matterI purchased a 65inflat screen TV on Black Friday as a ?Christmas gift to my husbandmonths after we started using it, it completely stopped working (thats one month outside of the manufacturers warranty in case you were wondering)I had to speak to multiple people before they agreed to send someone to fix it because I didn't purchase the extended warrantyWell it turned out that what was wrong with the TV is not "worth" fixing and if I had purchased the extended warranty it won't be covered anywayVizio offered to sell me a replacement TV for $off their sticker price (so around $800)So for anyone keeping track that would mean that in months I would be spending close to $on televisionsNo thank you!!! Have a little integrity Vizio and stand behind your product! I am talking about months! If we had gotten year out of it I won't be nearly as upsetHow can a company in good conscious charge almost $for a product that barely lasts a yearNEVER AGAIN!

On Feb 13, I experienced a problem with my sound bar that it would randomly turn off, and required rebooting After contacting Vizio, the technician advised I should do a hard resetThis bricked the device I contacted Vizio, and since the device is under warranty (I provided proof of purchase), I was asked to return the device in their provided box, which I did within hours of receiving the box I have not heard anything about a replacement unit (I was assured they would send out a NEW (not recertified) unit via ***)
In the meantime, my TV is also randomly dimming (this happened within hours of the sound bar dying) Resetting the TV did not fix the problem, and Vizio recommended that I replace it, as it too is under warranty Vizio claims that they contract with a third party to remove, replace, and install customer televisions I asked for the company's information and the technician's certifications before I allow this stranger into my home/work on my AV equipment,
