I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.VIZIO did contact me to try and resolve the matter, but as I stated on the phone several times was it was a brand new 40" VIZIO Smart Flat Screen TV which had the registration card in the box and I filled it out did it online and never recieved any type of notice stating that warranty would be accepted or not due to the item being bought outside a retail establishment and infact the place I bought the TV brand new is a retail establishment. The two year warranty should be honored and the TV shall be replaced as a customer rep from VIZIO had told me several times that it would be not a problem and this rep knew that the TV in question was from a Pawn Shop and said that wouldn't be a problem, as long as I had the proper information that they requested which was proof of purchase and the model, and serial number from the TV and had all proper documents but then was told later by another rep and supervisor I'm out of luck and we can do nothing for me. The only resolution is a replacement Smart TV of the same size or bigger. It was told and promised to me by a rep of VIZIO and now they don't want to honor there word. What kind of service and business is this that take there word back on something, if it wasn't allowed then why tell a customer that it won't be a problem EVEN after the customer tells the Rep its from a pawn shop. The TV has white lines going through the screen and its only 5 months old. This has been a continuous problem by the company by reading online reports of the same issue and the company not wanting to cover the problem for some reason or other to avoid replacement costs on the company.

I do not have the receipt. This company has done nothing to help me. They want more money after selling me a defective item. This is unacceptable.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[ the tv was shipped about two weeks ago and I still have yet to receive my refund. Someone from corporate has contact me but there still is jo estimated time of when my refund will be completed. Vizio tried to blame the shipping company for why it took so long to pick up the TV and continue the process of my refund. Like I stated below I was supposed to be advised when the TV was received, and I will assume it hasn't because I have not been notified. Which I know they haven't even gone through receiving the TV, it hasn't been inspected, which will still take time for them to process the refund and then depending on how they send me my refund. A process this simple should not take longer than month which is the time frame I was given this should be completed, and it already has been past two months. This is unacceptable, especially from such a large company.]

VIZIO customer service again contacted us with the same useless "offer" as before. Seems like a poor deal for consumers to purchase a product in good faith, receive the product damaged and then be given the option to spend MORE money on their products. This is unacceptable. Why would any consumer want to continue their business relationship with a company that treats them this way?
The only viable solution to this is a refund (partial or complete) or replacement of the unit. Outside of that we are at an impasse, and VIZIO is not willing to negotiate in good faith. If VIZIO can't stand behind the quality of their products then I think their Revdex.com reputation should reflect that. Please file my experience with VIZIO products and customer service as a ZERO or an F or whatever grade can be given to warn off other potential suckers that might fall prey to VIZIO's predatory business practices.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and I AM WRITING TO YOU TO LET YOU KNOW THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED. I spoke with [redacted] on 01/19/2016 at 1:08 pm when he called my house. He is sending me a brand new Vizio 70 inch television to replace the defective television. It is a brand new television with a 1 year warranty on it. It is a less expensive television but at least I get a new television from Vizio. I am very happy that Vizio has ordered a new TV for me. We have been without a working TV since the previous TV died.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed After speaking with Harley at Vizio and expressing that I was not happy with his resolution either as he stated it would cause legal issues if I was given the refund as offered originally and I accepted I am still not happy with the response of legal issues being brought up if they gave me a refund as I was offered. What legal issues ? People go outside the warranty all the time especially if customer service offered it to begin with.I'm not satisfied with this resulition attempt by Vizio and would like to know who else I can write a letter too at Vizio.

A few years ago we purchased a vizio TV that a month out of "warranty" had back light issues. I was told that it was a back light issue and that was not covered by warranty. After months of argument on the Revdex.com, I was finally given a new tv. Visio lied to me stating it was a back light issue and it was not under warranty. This SAME issue just happened to my new tv that I believe I haven't have for barely a year yet. I called vizio and they stated the first time it was a chip issue (Lie) and that is why I was given a new tv. (Lie.) This tv it just so happens the "warranty" ended this month and now is having the same back light issues. This tv is worthless now and needs to be fixed or replaced! This tv is the brand new model that I received only after filing a compliant with the Revdex.com. I suffered a traumatic brain injury on two months ago and I cannot afford any more stress that I am already under. I tried to contact the customer service department through vizio only to be lied to and given the run around. Vizio is a terrible product and if there was a way to get a full refund I would in a heart beat to buy a different brand. I am suffering enough with the fact I almost lost my life in a horrific accident and already had to file a complaint with your company before. Now the new tv has the exact same problems? This is ridiculous and I cannot deal with this.Desired Outcome: At this point in time since this is the SECOND tv I have received that has obvious back light issues, I want a full refund for the cost of this tv so I am able to buy a different brand. Vizio has a problem with their back lights and if their new tvs have the same issue just so coincidentally after the warranty is up! I am requesting a full refund of this tv so I can buy a new tv that does not have apparent issues with the back light. You company has caused me agony long enough.
