Review: I signed on with Yodle over a month ago for a package thats worth $1500. I asked for a month to month plan to give a try after a very aggressive sales pitch. The person that I spoke with said that it would be $1200 or so per month if I would sign a 3 month contract but I did not want to go that route so we agreed on $1,500 instead which would be month to month. He said I would receive 30-40 calls per month off the adds. After 4 weeks in I have not received one lead. There where some calls mostly wrong numbers and telemarketers. Also about 1 week in I asked for a particular add message to be displayed on the addversite instead of the generic one they had for me and the lady said sure it will be done in 1-2 days. This never happened even after I emailed and asked again over 4 times. I asked to cancel my service and wanted a refund in which the person I talked to said I cant have that and was very condescending and rude saying that I signed a 3 month contract. When I know that I specifically did not want that and even payed extra so that I would not have any contract. I feel that I was forced or pushed and misrepresented to sign with Yodle and was not given the services that was informed to me by there team and videos that I was made to watch.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for my 1 month that I payed for and that my contract to be cancelled.

Dear Revdex.com,

We have worked with [redacted] to come to a resolution. We have refunded him and closed his account with Yodle. We're very sorry that he didn't have a good experience with a member of our team, and will look in to the situation. We wish him the best success in his future marketing efforts.

Thank you,

I'm sorry I got duped by this company. They talked me into an "adversite" that was completely useless. It was ugly and most importantly, did NOT get me new clients. It got me terrible phone calls and useless emails.
Then, after I canceled, they kept my site up for another 90 days without my permission. It received 1 (ONE) phone call in that entire time. What a waste. So now, that one caller didn't get a call back from my office which could undermine my reputation AND that fact that only ONE call came through after 90 more days is definitive PROOF that the site does not work.
I know the pitch sound great and seems affordable. But I know that it was a waste of money and a waste of my time setting up the site, then canceling and now trying to cancel again. Hire a real website company and avoid Yodel at all costs.

Review: I was sold that their advertising was the best and I would have outstanding results. It took over 3 months to set up my account and used my funds in the process with no results or refund available. Only asking for me to spend more to make there system work.Desired Settlement: To be refunded in full for my trouble and misrepresentation of product

Dear Revdex.com: We are very disappointed to hear [redacted] did not have more success with our services. We have connected with [redacted] about these issues, reached a mutual agreement and we have closed his account. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors and we greatly appreciate him bringing this to our attention. All the best, JM.

Review: Yodel's sales practices, guarantees, and customer service issues, high pressure sales tactics from Yodle, Inc. sales staff, I felt like I was high pressured to sign up before I fully understood the services I will get. In addition, during the sales presentations, I was told by staff about a guarantee of results from using the company services. Yodle offered poor performance of the services I signed up and paid for, such as lack of leads, no increase in web traffic, or incorrect leads/calls routed to my company. I am seeking a refund of the fees from the company and the process is very difficult and have to make multiple calls and send several emails. Over three months I do not think I received one phone call that was about what what I do for a living.

I think this is a scam.Desired Settlement: I would like my account to be credited in full.

Dear Revdex.com: We are very disappointed to read about [redacted]'s experience. We're committed to delivering the best possible results for our customers, and we're sorry that this wasn't his experience. After leaving a few voice mails and emails, we have been unsuccessful at reaching [redacted] but we are hoping to be in touch with him next week. We have every intention of resolving this matter amicably. He can reach Ron L[redacted] or Trevor B** at###-###-#### who will work with him directly on these issues. Thank you, Jessica M[redacted].

Review: I am a reverse mortgage advisor in Jacksonville Florida. I agreed to pay Yodle Inc. for "organic ad placement" in 3 major search engines on March [redacted], 2014. I was promised the ad would appear on the first web page for searches using keywords like "reverse mortgage" within 3 months of my contract. They gave me a website ([redacted])that would attract people interested in this product. I was told that the keywords would bring people to this site for people with ip addresses in the Jacksonville area. On 8-*-14 I searched "reverse mortgages" nothing came up on the first 7 pages. Nothing had been done since 4-**-14 to bring traffic to my site. Although they kept billing me. I called [redacted] to see what was going on. He admitted that the results were poor and something was wrong on [redacted]. He gave me a free month to see if new "indexing" for [redacted] would improve traffic. I waited until a few day before another billing and On 9-**-14 I again put in "reverse mortgage" in each search engine - I gave up on each one after not being on the first 5 pages. I spoke to [redacted] on 9-**-14 and he said sometimes the city has to be typed in the search - this was news to me. I was told the ip address would take care of this. This is a Federal HUD program and people are searching for reverse mortgage information not city reverse mortgage programs. I asked for a refund, but [redacted] would not budge - instead he said to give it more time and bill me for it. I can't afford to keep putting money down the drain. I would never have signed up if I had known that Jacksonville would have to be typed into the search engine because people are not going to search a city for a federal program. Again I was told the ip address would drive traffic to my website. On 9-**-14 I told [redacted] to cancel my subscription Yodle failed to meet their end of the agreement in 6 months. I want a full refund of $1496.00Desired Settlement: If Jacksonville has to be put in search engine to get traffic this will not work for me. Yodle did not deliver their promise in 6 months let alone 3 months. I wish a full refund for the $898 initial set up and the 2 monthly billings of $299 each in June and July. The total is $1496.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: Received a call from Yodel thinking that they were part of Website building project that a friend of mine was working on for me. It turns out they were NOT. They explained what they do, had me watch some videos and wanted to immediately set me up with their marketing plan. I told them that I wanted to ask my friend about this since she is an expert of Website building and Search Engines. They were being extremely Pushy and wouldn't let me have the time to look into this. They kept passing the phone to one another and doing the old " let me talk to my Supervisor a moment. " and the old ' Discount Deal ' that was only good for that moment. I trusted that the Revdex.com review on this company was trusting, and after a very long time being kept on the phone being pressured, I agreed to give it a try because of the Revdex.com review and the discount. As it turns out, Yodel is actually charging me for what I already have. This is why they didn't want me to talk to my friend who is doing this work for me. In other words, I'm having to pay DOUBLE and even More for what I already have. I'm a one person disc jockey business and I'm doing just fine with the Website marketing I already have. I only do business in a small area, not all over the State. I don't need Yodel, or their High Price Monthly Fees. I just want my money back.Desired Settlement: No More trying to talk me out of this, or trying to give me the runaround. No putting me on hold, No more pressured long phone conversations, Just give me my refund to my credit card and let me go on running my business with a marketing program that my friend put together that is working just fine.

Thank you.

I don't think Yodel should get a rating of A+ They should get a lower score for pressuring people. It's a Wrong way of doing business.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com - we're sorry that Yodle's marketing program isn't what [redacted] was looking for. We have contacted him to cancel his account, we just need to finalize the paperwork. We should be able to completely resolve this issue as soon as we have the paperwork back from [redacted].Thanks,[redacted]

Review: Our complaint of this company is that we have had several calls over the last 2 years and we keep telling them to take us off of their calling list and they continue to call us. I spoke to another representative today and not only was she rude she hung up on me when I told her that we have asked multiple times to be taken off of their list. This is not the first time they hung up on me when I told them not to call anymore. Not only is this company unprofessional but they do not listen when you ask them to lose your phone numberDesired Settlement: I would like this company to stop calling our office.

Business

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,

We have looked in to the situation with [redacted] and have reached out to him to apologize for the lack of professionalism he experienced from our sales team. We have made sure that his phone number is on our do not call list and have provided him with a direct contact to reach out to if he experiences any further problems. All our sales reps are required to fulfill “do not call” requests and we’re sorry that did not happen in this case.

Thanks,

At this moment we are not happy with Yodle, the original conference call seemed fine until we realized we were mislead after only signing up for 2 months to start, NOT 6 MONTHS. So they took it upon themselves to withdraw money from our account every 2 months, without our consent and its not written in the contract, otherwise we wouldn't have signed with them. I would also like to add, that I should have been put through to a manager right away, and not have to wait for a call back. When we signed up a manager came on the phone and was available, so why not when we had a complaint. We are currently working on getting reimbursed until that happens they will get a bad review.

Review: I was verbally harassed and abused by a salesperson/customer service personnel. I called to gather information on the services the company offered and the price. I asked questions and was told I didn't know what I was talking about when in point of fact I did know what I was talking about. The salesman [redacted] suggested my questions had no validity when if fact they were legitimate questions I was entitled to have answered. Moreover, I tried to complete the call by thanking the salesperson [redacted] for answering my questions and I would get back to him at a later date and let him know if I would use his companies services. He used guerilla tactics attacking me at each turn and refusing to let me go from the call. He told me that this was not a maybe situation where I could think about it and call back, but either yes or no. He refused to let me go without physically hanging up on him. He was getting into my personal business, asked about my budget and personal things he was not entitled to know. I eventually had to tell him politely I had to go which he refused to accept. Rather he kept accosting me talking for another ten minutes after I walked away from the phone.Desired Settlement: I request a black mark against the company noted by the Revdex.com. The firing of that salesman who I believe is [redacted] whose direct phone is ###-###-####. I also want a call from the CEO [redacted] to explain what happened and receive an apology any compensation he thinks I deserve.

Dear Revdex.com-

[redacted] addressed my technical problem thoroughly and effectively.

Review: Well I started with them back in august to setup for advertising and leads for more customers to contact me for work , which I was told if all my info was added I would get more customers calling me with in a 3 month period . I have been with the company doing exactly what I was told to do to bring in customers to my website and search engines , but nothing has happened and they still deduct money $149.50 from bank account which is overdrawn due to them taking payment for customers not received . asked 2 times to cancel account and return my moneyDesired Settlement: expect refund of all fee's and charges for all the work I did to get customers . they did nothing but take my money

Dear Revdex.com: We are very dissapointed to hear Nancy did not have more success with our online marketing services. We have been able to discuss these issues with Nancy, close her account and reach a mutual agreement. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors and appreciate her bringing these issues to our attention so we could help find a resolution. Best, JM.

Review: I expressed repeated concerns with the level of service I was getting from the beginning. I heard from another agency that they were duped into using their service as well with no results.

They had a sneaky sales tactic to get me to return their call by saying they had information about a private pay client. I still have the voicemail.

However, I looked past that because they said they were a A+ rated by the Revdex.com.

I wanted to end things after the first week because they didn't call me to setup my account and things were mishandles and had billed me and already as an active account. In trying to resolve my initial concerns they offered a discount and said it would all go towards ads. I don't believe they did that and I don't beleive they have the expertise in the home care industry that they assured me they had. They did not come close to what they promised as a service.Desired Settlement: Refund $997 for total paid for service.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: In April of 2015, I signed up for services with Yodle for my company, [redacted]. I was told that I had to pay 6 months in advance for services with Yodle, which was over $1,600.00 dollars. When I initially signed up, I was told that it would take about 90 days for me to start getting any "leads", (phone calls, emails, etc.) as they call it, from prospective customers. A few days after I hit the "90 day" mark, and still hadn't received any calls or emails from customers looking to hire me, I had my daughter, Michelle, call the customer service number at Yodle to inquire as to why no business was being generated by them. Michelle spoke with a woman named "DD" who informed her "to just give it a few more days", that I should be getting business soon through them. After waiting about a month, and still receiving no leads, phone calls, or emails, I sent them an email telling them I wanted three of the six months that I paid upfront refunded to me. I sent that on August *, 2015 and as of today, August **, 2015, I have yet to receive a call, email, or refund from Yodle.

My other complaint with Yodle, and one that I expressed to them in my email, is that my daughter and I had to do most of the work that they should have been doing, especially after I paid them over $1,600.00. I'm curious as to what the employees there actually do considering me and my daughter had to send out all the referral emails to prior customers, post pictures onto my website (which was not in the least bit "user-friendly"), as well as quite a few other jobs that a company like theirs should be doing.

I will gladly explain in more detail over the phone if need be as to any other grievances I have with Yodle.Desired Settlement: I would like at least three of the six months that I paid upfront refunded to me. This would be $801.00 dollars. I would also like to cease any and all business with Yodle.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,We have spoken to [redacted] about his concerns. As a result of talking to [redacted] about what's going on with his account, he has decided to remain a Yodle customer. We hope to have a successful and productive relationship with [redacted] for many months to come.Best,[redacted]

Review: During the course of selling their product, sales person [redacted], [redacted] T/F: ###-###-#### [redacted]: Yodle www.yodle.com [redacted] mentioned that Yodle would correct any "incorrect information" found on various websites, and, then he showed me a list of websites which had information which was incorrect.

I was well aware of these websites having incorrect information. The incorrect information, they had my fax number instead of my phone number, all occurred rather suddenly, and, my fax machine started ringing. Next thing you know, Yodle calls me and wants to sell me their product, for $250 a month, and, they explain how they have a relationship with all of these smaller advertisers and search engines, like [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], and how, among other services, they can fix all of these errors.

Only an agency such as yours could expose such a criminal act. And, the A+ rating you have given them, may be completely unwarranted, do to extremely unethical business practices, possibly, criminal in nature.Desired Settlement: I would like someone to investigate whether or not Yodle is purposely using their relationship with these other agencies, inserting wrong customer information into the search engines and advertisers websites, which they can do "with the click of a button" as [redacted] told me (in his case, to fix all of the errors), for the purpose of coercing possible future customers to pay for their services. Since, they, unlike other companies, have a system which incorporates a relationship with all of these other agencies. Yes, they have great power to advertise, but, they also have the ability to screw over people, like me, and then blackmail them into paying them to fix all of the mess they created when they put the wrong information into the system.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,I left a voice mail for [redacted] but have not heard back from him. At this point I thought it was best to follow up with you to address [redacted]’s complaint. With all due respect to [redacted] the accusation that he has made against Yodle is totally unfounded and untrue. As a company committed to supporting the small business community Yodle would never engage in an unethical business practice of inserting fax numbers on directories in order to gain a sale. We do not know the specifics of what happened with [redacted]’s directories but it’s worth noting that many directories pull information from other directories in order to boost their listings. Once [redacted] had one directory with his fax number the likelihood is that the other directories copied this.We wish [redacted] well in resolving this issue. However, we are unwilling to provide any compensation for the time that he spent on his sales call as we are not responsible for the problem and were trying to demonstrate how we could help him.Best,[redacted]

Review: I agreed to an internet marketing campaign with Yodle, Inc on Aug **, 2014. On August **, 2014, prior to Yodle, Inc setting up said services, I cancelled said services via email, as I found customer reviews detailing the failure of Yodle, Inc to provide anywhere near the business leads that they claim in their sales' calls. In spite of my cancellation and never setting up any of my information with Yodle, Inc., Yodle, Inc. apparently set up an internet marketing campaign after my cancellation. I received no calls/emails/leads during the alleged marketing campaign. Yodle, Inc. did provide me with a bill to my [redacted] card for $999 for these services that were allegedly provided after my cancellation, as my cancellation did not comport with Yodle, Inc.'s 5 page contract for services, which is in extremely small print. [redacted] (###-###-####) is the sales representative with Yodle, Inc. that claimed that I would receive between 30-60 leads in a 3 month period. Thus, I should have received at least one lead in the month that Yodle, Inc. supposedly ran their internet marketing campaign after my cancellation. However, I received nothing but a bill from Yodle, Inc.Desired Settlement: $999 refund.

Response:

Dear Revdex.com,We're sorry that [redacted] didn't have a positive experience with Yodle. We have been working closely with him to address this issue, and should come to a full resolution within the next couple of days. If you have any further questions or would like additional information once we have fully resolved this issue, please don't hesitate to contact me at [redacted] or ###-###-####.Thank you,[redacted]

We had contracted yodle for advertising and marketing for us and they have done nothing to better our business. We are a roofing contractor and they have us misclassified as a door and window company. They hear what we are telling them about our company but they do not listen.Total negative experience with this company and would tell anyone that is remotely interested in their services to look for another reputable company instead of this scam.

They are pretty presistant in trying to garner business. I found that a turn off, even when I declined their offers. Pretty pricey for services, most of which I can do myself. Also, coming to the Revdex.com site and reading all the other reviews solidified my decision to not go with Yodle. I tried to ask for demographics for my particular area code but all I was shown was rubbish. Ok so the area I live gets x amount of search hits. But could they tell me how many of those hits followed through like they are promising. Oh, and the agent kept on about the A+ rating with the Revdex.com well he didnt mention the 39% unsatisfactory rating.

When dealing with Yodle employees they seemed very confident with what they were going to do for my business. Unfortunately they never understood that I could only sell to clients in my state!!!! All I received from leads were out of state callers, there were so many it took away from my time and hurt my business. I had to cancel the order with them so stop the calls. I wrote one business for a profit of $250 and spent more than 10 times that amount to advertise in a 3 month period.
