Salesman lied and put us on a contract we never knowingly agreed toWe specifically stated we did not want to be in a contract
About October, we took over our business from our deceased father and decided to use the same credit card processor he was usingWe specifically told the salesman we did NOT want to be in a contract because we were unsure if the business would be successful without our father running itThe salesman assured us that we would not signing any kind of long term contractWe signed a multi-page electronic form and a contract agreement was placed there after we signed itI read over it carefully and it was not there when we signedAfter four years of using the service and cancelling, and returning the equipment, they still continue to charge our accountWe are currently going through the dispute process with our bank

We purchased a business that was using First Data Merchant Services and part of the purchase was taking over their lease agreementAlthough we filled out the necessary paperwork the day we took ownership of the company it took almost months for First Data to start processing everything through our new businessWe recently sold the business and the new owner wasn't interested in continuing business with First DataWe contact our rep who tried to "sell" us on the benefits of forcing the new owner to use First DataWe wrote back that he wasn't interested and we just want everything closed out and we'll pay to break the leaseWe were told to call leasing and we paid over $and returned our equipmentWe were then charged for two and a half more months of services, how can we receive services for equipment we returned?? Upon contacting them I was told they can't refund usWhen I asked for clarification on the charges they kept referring us to the statements, which didn't match the charges withdrawn from our accountI know this review won't solve anything for me with First Data but hopefully it will help others stay away from this company that obviously could care less about customers based on my experience and over 1,complaints made on this website alone

First Data has processed my credit card transactions since my grand opening in I had batches that were held do to a legal issue and were in "holding"The hold was supposed to be released on Thursday, February 16, With that being said I would have received my deposit into my business account the very next dayThe lady promised thatNO FUNDS AGAIN! I called immediatelyHer response was "the hold was just released today (2/17/17) & funds will not be available until Tuesday, February 21, 2017." I am furious at this pointI can NOT run a business with a negative account balanceNeedless to say I was transferred to different people before I got an answerThey said their was nothing they could do before the following TuesdayI was told a day prior to this that the funds could be wired to my account before 3pmWhy can't this happen today? We are now to the point where the lady will not return my phone callsWORST customer service I have ever dealt withI am now facing

Avoid First Data Merchant Services at all cost
On September 25th, called the number to terminate the account one month in advance the representative inform me that I should call back closer to my renewal date (October 26,th, 2015) to cancelI called back on October 13th, to cancel the account a representative inform me that I need to call back in few more daysCalled back on October 19th, to terminate the contract I was informed that someone will call me to initiate the terminationOn December 4th, a was charged on our business accountCalled the company back on December 28th to ask for the charges and was notice the account was not canceledSo after complaining they told me that someone would call us back to cancel the account On January 5th, still no one called us backFinally I called back on Monday January 11th, and asked why my account has not been canceled and no one contacted us, they told me they would submit my request and someon

Hi I opened a business in 2015, while shopping for a merchant services, Bank of America, offered to get an equipment that will help maintain business records and accept credit cards, which would be through First data global leasingAt that time the sales agent didn't disclose that the lease can't be cancelThe amount to buy an equipment is $999, but to lease it will be more then $3000! Now I closed my business at this time and not able to cancel this lease, and this business keep charging my account automatically, because that's the way they take paymentsI don't use the equipment and can't cancel it! it is really frustrating to deal with this kind of situation

Dear Friends, please do NOT USE THE SERVICES OF THIS COMPANY , we have been scammed and we wanted to save as they offer cheaper services, but it turn to be they are cheap , very very cheap companyWe deeply regret for using their services
Hopefully we sort out our issue with our clients, not to loose our reputation, then we will take legal actions agains this company who is supposedly "Bank of America Merchant Services"

I was told by the rep that clover by first data was capable of meeting my needs The Rep showed me all the wonderful aspects of the system and then touched on what I need it do I trusted him Over two years later, I am still operating out of two and paying for systems because it does not meet my needs as a service provider I can see how it works great for strictly retail but not ideal for booking and tracking services I was so bummed and of course years ago I was told I could "buy out" the lease for over $3,even though I was lied to about it's capabilities Fast forward to no longer being able to deal with having to work out of two systems, I called again I have months left and they said I could return the equipment and pay the remainder of the lease Return it so you can re-lease it to another sucker and still charge me the remainder of the lease??? Is that even ethical?
I have never left a negative review in my life! I am sick over this Making this poor decision because of a shady sales rep has cost my small business just over $2,and counting By the end of the lease it will double I will never use first data or clover Poor business practices

I was using a first data credit card processor through bank the card processor worked fine for several months then wouldn't accept payment from my customers,,I called first data they sent another machine that worked about a week,I called several times trying to resolve the problem meanwhile I couldn't take credit cards it was killing my business not able to accept credit cards first data basically gave me the run around not willing to send another card processor to me ,,they wouldn't even tell me where to ship the non working machines to,,so I went out and got another card processor from sam's club it also is a first data works fine no problems,,,now frist data has turned me in to a collection agency saying I had a lease on the card processors that will not work but can't produce a signed contract all I asked for was a machine that worked,,why should I have to pay for one that doesn't

Up until now, I've been fine with First Data, no complaintsTwo months ago I saw a charge for $and another charge in November for the same amount directly to my bank accountI spent three hours on the phone on Sunday with various representatives telling me it was for an app or a Clover device, neither of which I haveToday I was told that the charge is for Tier I Encryption on my terminal and that I cannot opt outI didn't order it, nor do I think I need it! I am a very small business, and frankly, I think this argument that I *need* this because I am a small business is them trying to recoup some lost revenue because my sales have declined over the past few years from their "minimum" of $10K a monthWhen I go online, I see that I can get Clover security for $a month, so why am I being charged $a month?! I cannot reach anyone who will do anything for me, so I am on the lookout for yet another credit card vendor who will not arbitrarily start charging me for something I did not order! I don't even think it's legal to charge people with something they didn't orderIsn't this called "fraud"? And really, shouldn't credit card companies be encrypting information anyway? Why do I have to pay an additional fee, over and above the high rates already charged to process credit cards? This has all the feelings of a scam, as it's something I cannot see, cannot verify, and didn't orderThey said it was "activated" on the back end and that they notified me in writingI never recall being notified of a $monthly charge for this supposed encryption, and it in fact raises my credit card fees by more than 25%I feel as if companies like this prey on small business owners who do not understand the ins and outs of their agreements and how processing worksI was heretofore happy with First Data but now stand among those here who have filed complaints

This company has put a hold on a prepaid debit card account that I have been using for over a year nowMy account currently has over $of my money in the account that they froze without explanation I have sent identification documents that they requested and they still have my account frozen When I call and ask for a supervisor they hang up on me I just want access to MY money

FirstData failure to provide any notice on the status of our account and is withholding over 65k while now debiting our bank account
We have applied for payment processing via BankTech an ISO of FirstDataBankTech assured our company that they can support our company type and that there were no concerns for the amount we could process

I tried to call on 11/03/16, 11/07/2016, 11/10/The automated system couldn't find my account numbers and I couldn't get through to speak to anyone to make a payment over the phoneI tried on each of the above days to make a payment online,the website is brokenI tried with internet explorer and google chrome from multiple computersI finally mailed my payment but haven't seen it processedI tried again today 11/18/to see if my payment has been received, the same issues with the phone systemYou try to go thru merchant services, they transfer you back to the automatedHere is the link to the website
