Zillow Group, Inc. Reviews (988)

Dear Revdex.com,
I have used Zillow.com to advertise my rental properties for a few yearsRecently somebody hacked my account and posted other propertiesI have nothing to do with this hackingUnfortunately, Zillow.com ( *** *** ***, Seattle, Washington 98104) ?has blocked my account and I am now denied serviceWhen I open my account, I’m asked to write to a particular address (***@zillow.com) to verify my accountI have written to this address repeatedly and haven’t got any response.
I tried to contact Zillow over the phone, but they do not offer phone communication for people who are not real estate agentsI finally managed to talk to a person, and I was told that once my account is blocked there is no process of resolving the problem and I should open a new account under a different email addressI did that, but the new account was also blocked because apparently Zillow is tracking my property
It is rental season and I need to advertise my condoI’m

To Whom It May Concern:*** received a prorated refund when she cancelled on August 9th, so we will issue a refund for the difference which is $

I began advertising with Zillow in April under Thaddius F*He talked me into moving into a larger market to get more business and promised he would call me weekly to discuss setting up my template updated profile etceteraI made it very clear to him it was important that he keep his scheduleNonetheless he did not contact me at the scheduled timeI proceeded to leave him message after message and he would not return my callsI finally reached out to his supervisor Brent on 5/via email to which again I received no responseI reached out again on 6/10/to both Thaddius and Brent via email and again no responseI reached out to Thaddius on 7/requesting to schedule a callI wanted to make sure my contract cancelledAgain, no return phone callI was charged and additional months past my contract because they did not fulfill the promises that they made to nor would they return my callsI was stupid enough to sign the contract, but I should not be billed for the addi

In response to the rejected response from *** ***, I spoke to the General Manager in our Orange County office regarding her most recent interaction regarding her accountThe General Manager explained to *** that she just signed up a month ago and will need to give it more time since she demanded to cancel so soon*** inquired about the buy out, the General Manager explained to her that since she has had a poor experience that she would refund her one month, but she would need to fulfill her term to receive the refundShe also communicated with *** that if she wasn't going to give the advertising time to work that she would need to pay the buyout. *** agreed to continue and fulfill her term, if we did a refund Shortly after that conversation she cancelled her card and then still demanded the refund. We then cancelled the refund, as she was getting out of a contract without paying the buyoutIf *** would like to discuss this in further please advise her to reach out to the General Manager that she communicated with regarding the buyout and/or refundI have added her information below

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The real complaint is as follows: our neighbor #of which has a smaller home has a much higher zestimate $839K vs us; newly renovated and bigger is at $622K ?!>?.Other examples #on the same side of the street, same size home and flat lot is @ $850K, #same size home @ $775K.Perhaps the price history is effecting the Zestimate? Can it be removed? We were at $851K back in Dec 2015, until we started to put it on the market
Sincerely,

After reviewing our records, we were contacted by the homeowner on 05/and they were initially responded to on 05/The 'Days on Zillow' have been updated to reflect the new listing, and this can be verified on the homeowner's property page (see attached screenshot)In regards to the removal of
the previous listing history, Zillow does not have a way to remove valid past listing prices, as we believe this information is important for home shoppersZillow strives to provide open and transparent information about real estate marketsAs a result, we make available past sales prices for homes, and allow any user to post a question or answer about a given home. I am rejecting this response because:This is the same standard response I received. They take no responsibility for the fact that their Zestimate DOES in fact influence buyers and DOES NOT take into account the actual property with improvements made to it. They admit that it is simply a "computer-generated algorithm using the data available for each home. The algorithm uses public and user-submitted data, taking into account items such as home facts, price history, and tax history." It does not take into account the fact that the house was COMPLETELY FLIPPED AND UPDATED inside. Or that a new retaining wall was built around the pool with over $20,in concrete work. It does not take into account all of the out-buildings and structures that have been placed and will have to be sold with the home. There is currently a Class Action Law Suit in place against Zillow in Illinois regarding their Zestimate. Zillow should not have any right to Zestimate or assess or appraise ANY property based solely on previous tax records and price history. Zillow is fraudulently valuing and appraising property without having based their Zestimate on all of the facts of the home. Zillow has cost me $30,thus far due to their Zestimate and having to drop the asking price for my home to a point that is ridiculously low. We would not be selling our home if not for my husband's job transfer. This was to be our forever home. Had we known that we would only be here for years, we would not have spent the money we did updating and upgrading the inside of the home as well as adding the car detached garage, 18'X20' covered shelter, person hot tub, 8'X12' pool house with electricity and plumbing installed. I feel that Zillow should reimburse my husband and me for the amount we have had to drop on the asking price of our home.
Sincerely,

My address is on Zillow's website with pictures of a basement apartment I have called Zillow times to have the incorrect pictures and information removed from their siteEvery time I call , I had to leave messagesI have not heard from Zillow I am in the process of putting my house on the market and I do not want potential buyers to get confused

Zillow offered my a free month of advertising and although I told them I could not afford it because I recently left a full time job they convinced me to try the free monthI was clear from the beginning that I would not be subscribing because I did not have the moneyThey first charged my credit card anyway and I had to fight to get the charge reversed even though I have a picture of my computer screen that says no chargeI reached out to them on a continued basis that my free month was done but it looked like it was still active and clearly stated I did not want to be charged againWhen no one was returning my calls I finally sent an email stating that they were not calling me back and that again I wanted to make sure I was not going to be chargedSure enough I had a $charge on my credit cardThey are claiming that I didn't reach out to them in time however it is now the 24th and I am just hearing for the first time that this charge will not be reversedThey said that I w

I signed up for months with Zillow and the Sales Manager told me that I would be their number agent with impressions way above every other agent in that zip codeAfter months of very few leads (which were dead end leads) the manager called me asking me how things were going and I told her I wasn't getting many leads and she said I could pay more money and it would give me more impressionsSince doing so, the beginning of August, I have had zero leadsI have tried to end my contract, but they will not allow itSince I paid the extra money for the extra impressions it has started my contract over with themThis is a horrible company to do business withI recommend researching and read the reviews about this company before deciding on marketing with them

Responded to a rental adNo one ever contacted me, but Zillow inundated me with emails every dayI have tried to unsubscribe from their emails, but it takes you straight to their websiteThree weeks later, and the emails keep comingMake the stops this scam that won’t allow you to stop their emails

I purchased a home as an investment property on April 27/
I tried to list my property on Zillow for rent but my listing was was declined because the listing agent failed to mark the listing as soldI have contacted Zillow requesting them to remove the old for sale listing as the home is absolutely not for sale and allow me to list my property for rentThe response I got was to ask the listing agent to remove his listingI provided the signed Deed for the property showing clearly my ownership as of the 27th of April
The listing broker does not care to do anythingHe has no right to my property nor does he have any permission from me to advertise it
I want Zillow to correct the listing situation as it is my property and it is for rent and not for sale
I thought that Zillow was interested in the accuracy of the information they advertise

We called zillow 1-number and canceled our service Tuesday 8/15/because we could not get in touch with our agent we normally deal with Pete T*** the gentleman I spoke with advised me it would be canceled, the rep we normally deal with Pete must have gotten wind that we canceled and called my husband *** *** phone on 8/16/trying to see why we wanted to cancel and was advised we may pick it back up but it's not in our budget right nowHe advise it would be canceled and our account would not be charged and that he would be out of the office for about a weekThe next day the deducted out of our account with out permission and after we were told they would notWe did not have a contract with them and the services are prepaid so they deducted the money after being told not toI called to resolve the issue and they stated they could not do anything about it I called back twice to ask for a manager and they denied having access to one both timesThey refuse

Zillow has incorrect sales information on my home located at *** *** *** *** ** ***The home sold on 12/15/for $335,They have it listed as $244,This vastly incorrect and negative information effects the value of my homeAfter many requests to Zillow to correct their information they have not taken any action

I liked using Zillow when I had to move but now they will NOT stop emailing meI have unsubscribed from all their emails 100x by now and they just keep comingI feel harassed at this point

Zillow and its subsidiary Trulia are in the business of publishing real estate information for profitZillow and its subsidiaries have published unauthorized and personally identifying information on their respective websites that they have gathered on us, our home, our home's contents, our home's layout, location of our children's bedrooms, street view and exact location for the supposed purpose of 1) offering real estate leads to paying realtors, and 2) to promote homes for sale to consumers looking to buy a homeOur home has been continuously owned by us for years, and it has NEVER been put on the market in the entire yearsWe have notified both Zillow that our home is not for sale and for serious personal security reasons we object to information related to us and our home being published on their websitesThe information they publish is personally damaging to us because it makes information readily available to stalkers and criminals who may be a threat our familyBecau

I have recently listed my home for sale by owner within the past week The zestimate on my home has been consistent for the past year with just slight fluctuations from month to month as expected; however, after I submitted my FSBO notification for Zillow to update, my zestimate dropped by $102,OVERNIGHT!! On July 12, it was $495,and today is shows $393,000! None of my neighbors estimates have changed This is a blatant manipulation by Zillow because we are selling by owner instead of using a realtor This is absolutely ridiculous!!! No business should have the right to manipulate the value of someone's property AT WILL! Luckily, I have a screenshot of the previous estimate to show potential buyers and you can bet that I will tell everyone I know what a TOTAL SCAM Zillow is!!

My home is listed with *** *** **Zillow.com and their affiliates *** have listed the home pending twiceOnce on July My agent had contact with them and so did I by emailing a man named BryceAfter a day or two they put status back as listed for saleNow July they have marked it pending againThis is taking potential buyers away from the sale of my home especially when this happened on a weekend when most people look for homesI’ve also asked them to delete all past listing history on the website that shows past history and they refused to do itI’ve asked twice nowThen I gave them a bad review and that’s when the pending status startedI have to take my home off the market now because they have damaged the reputation of the home status twice now

I signed up with Zillow's Premier Agent services approximately month agoThey claimed that I would receive calls from qualified leads interested in buying/selling homesThey informed me I was qualified for a concierge service that would filter/pre-qualify leads so the phone calls I would receive would be eligible to purchase/sell homesTo this date, out of the or so calls I have received in a month, of those calls have been spam calls/robots/people selling me servicesphone call was from an unqualified leadThis is advertisement and I am tired of the incessant spam calls clogging up my phone and leaving me endless voice mailsMy number is on the "National No Call List" for a reasonI have tried contacting Zillow and they continue changing my "Account Manager" and moving me around from person to person
