I don't understand what kind of response is that!!! The company mentioned nothing about what happened to me in the store. How can I be assured if they allow their store manager or anyone just to make up rules, and they never mention anything wrong doing about them!!! Obviously their manager violated the company rules, but it seems ok for staples! I need an answer! Why their manager can do that and how they can assure me the same thing won't happen! Otherwise I will never return to that store and shop anything from that ***! Regards, [redacted] ***

We apologize for the inconvenience. Staples, among other retailers, are allowed to sell gift cards in multiple transactions, as long as the total purchase does not exceed $2000.00 per person, per day. This is in accordance with federal guidelines.

As per our terms and conditions posted online "Please refer to the Cardholder Agreement insert provided with your prepaid cardSubject to applicable law, a monthly maintenance fee of $(USD) applies, but is waived for the first six months after the card is issued." Staples will not be reissuing the customer's full amount due to these terms and conditions

We have investigated the customer's concerns with our Rewards department and was advised that for the month of May, according to our database, they spent $76.23, earning them $2.36. Monthly payout that falls below $5.00 rolls over to the next month, so unfortunately, for this month the customer has... not earned enough for a payout. In regards to them not receiving ink recycling Rewards, it was determined that the $30 Ink qualification dropped off February on 16th, 2015, so they did not qualify for Ink recycling as they remain slightly below the $30 mark . As it turns out, this year the customer has only spent $19.48 on Ink ,so this does not qualify for payout of Recycling as in order to receive ink recycling credits, members must purchase $30 worth of ink and toner in the previous 180 day period. We were also advised that as a goodwill gesture, our Rewards department issued the customer a courtesy coupon on May 5th in the amount of $40.00.
